Devs, please tell my why i got ruthless killer

Everyone was hooked three times, four generators were left, there was no proximity to hooked survivor, all my emblems were iridescent except chaser for some reason.

Please watch the video and explain why i dont get adept oni from this match.

Apparently my evader emblem was damaged because i instadowned people with oni.

But thats stupid, why dont i get adept oni for using his power correctly?

    The emblems are very stupid in this game. Instadowns hurt the chaser emblem, like you said - you can try using his no-power addon build - go to hawkins and equip Renjiro's glove and splintered hull. Basically you want to injure people a lot and then you can see them at any time thanks to the addons. Good luck

    Because that's how the chaser emblem has always worked. It's stupid. But unfortunately it's how they want it. The real kicker is survivors healing damages your Malicious emblem. But if you don't let them heal you get less chaser.

    Doctor, Freddy, Wraith (somewhat), I'm probably forgetting some killers, but these are easy to get merciless, 'cause they "check" every requirement for the emblem system...

    You actually don't need deviousness points for that. The "deviousness" emblem is actually the gatekeeper emblem, it's not connected to the points, so you just need to defend the gens

    Some killers (LEGION) were designed more with the emblem system in mind. I also prefer it as a ranking system because it covers more of the game than just kills.

    Majority of the killers too only have basic and no instant-down attacks or perks, therefore it is balanced around two hits. It is also my personal opinion that instant-downs are HALF the chase, therefore HALF the work and HALF the reward. That just comes with the territory if playing those killers.


    It might be that I lucked out with maining Pig, and somewhat sympathising with survivors and their opinions in things like camping and tunnelling, but somehow I've made the emblem system work really well for me.
