How to MUTE Offensive and harassing chat

As every other multiplayer game, DBD community has its big amount of toxic players that use offensive language at the end of every match, and sometimes also before the match starts.
My question is: Will you consider to put an option to mute the chat in game? So that the player that doesn't want to chat at all, it's not gonna be forced to read offensive or toxic words in the game, because it actually makes the game not fun to play anymore.

    I thought I've seen people say you can close or minimize the chat window. I've never tried to do it. Is that something you have to do each match? Or does it become persistent?

    Maybe that could be a fix that they could easily implement, where if you minimize the chat window, then it stays minimized across matches until you open it again. That way, players wouldn't feel the need to rush out of the lobby and can look at their final score, pips, etc.

    Just kill the Twitch streamer first so he's left before you get back to the lobby. :D

    Make sure to remove the toxic survivor ASAP from the game, usually they dont want to wait the entire game to insult you and you can "enjoy" chatting with the other ones.

    Ofc you can just insta close the chat and forget about the game

    Honestly this complaint completely bewilders me.

    1. Hide the chat, it isn't permanent but it will be closed until you end your session (Restart the game).
    2. You can literally just NOT read the chat, at all - it's up to you.
    3. It's a few words from plebs on the internet, it shouldn't upset you.

    The only reason anyone should be complaining is if they start harassing you through Steam/Console Messages. Then you can report them to steam, and PSN/Xbox support, and block them too.

    Yeah what SenzuDuck said.. the chat can be turned off.. and it stays off until you turn it back on. It is a global change though so it changes it for both survivor and killer lobbies. So there is already an option in the game to mute the chat.. it has been in there for over a year now.

    you can completely disable the chat. just press the little arrow next to the chat and it will disappear. press the arrow again and it will reappear (:
