Am I misunderstanding the Cakes?

It says that it grants 104% bloodpoints for all players in the trial. But every time someone in the trial plays one and I don't, I don't get any extra BP. So do they not actually work like party streamers and previous cakes?

They’re currently bugged and due to be fixed in the next hotfix patch, probably this week.
