Received 50,000 bloodpoints for no reason?

After updating the game to the new Silent Hill chapter and booting the game up. it said "You received a gift. Your account has been awarded 50,000 bloodpoints". I mean I'm not complaining but I'm just really confused as to why?

    i got 100,000 by logging in accidentally before the update, then 50,000 after, and then an extra 50,000 on top of that after logging out to get pyramid head on the steam store? im not complaining either in fact pls give me more pls im hungry devs
