The DC penalty is stopping me and my friend from playing swf!

My friends Xbox (or internet) causes his Xbox to disconnect from the internet at random times and now every time he gets DC ed he gets like a 1 - 2 day penalty. So BeHaviour please remove the disconnect penalty. Sometimes I DC on killer because im around like rank 13 as killer and i get like rank 2s and gen rushers

    Your friend should figure out his Internet so he isn't screwing the game up for everybody. The disconnect penalty is working as intended.

    Also, same for you disconnecting in your killer matches. I know matchmaking sucks, and we all hate it and will continue to complain about it on this forum, but your solution is not going to help anyone.

    Something your friend can try is port forwarding on his router so that his connection is more open. Either his connection is too slow and being shared with other people or his connection is too strict.

    The second bit of the post is literally a reason why DC is even there. Not because of the bad matchmaking but because a killer/survivor gets outplayed and DCs. Your friend's issues are an actual concern. Yours are awful and you're messing up people's challenges right now with rift.

    I would also advise your friend not to play on Wi-Fi. You should always game on a hardwired connection, if possible. It's a night-and-day difference. Pick up some reasonably priced powerline adapters if your console or PC isn't near your router.
