Give the killer a directional on screen notification when a survivor is within 1m of them, or fix collision during killer animations, or allow the killer to look around during animations.
Why?
A killer animation functions similar to the way a stun does; this shouldn't be the case, but it is, and it's too harsh. Not only are killers restricted in their movement and view during animations, but because the animations don't have collision, they can be exploited by survivors to potentially gain an easy advantage without much effort. I know some survivors have a lot of fun exploiting animation collision doing this, and some feel it's a strategy but most, if not all, of the benefit comes from the way the game was designed.
Some people will say there are ways the killer can resolve the issue, "just look around, and check for the survivors after vaulting". But, that's restricting the killer to sight, when they should also be aware via touch. Like when vaulting a window, if a survivor is under them alert them to being in contact with something with an on screen arrow indicating the touch, directionally. The killer receives other notifications based on their senses, like loud noise notifications, so why wouldn't they be privy to a survivor trying to hide between their legs as they stepped over a window?
If the killer isn't observant enough, they might miss the notification. But, at least it gives the killer an option to continue looking for the survivor they were chasing, rather than like a fool, let the survivor get away while staring at the ground, running backwards, because some element of the game isn't working as well as it should.

Sounds like you've been Window Teched quite a lot lol
But nah, I don't really see a point to this change. Just use your ears, you can often hear the survivor/grass/footsteps.
Killers are overpowered. Don't make it worse
