The 4th health state: Crippled
Haven't quite worked out all the details so suggestions are welcome.
This has been thrown around quite a bit, but getting slugged sucks, so the simplest solution would be to be able to recover from it right?
Not entirely as it wouldn't reward the killers effort in downing you and most logically there's little reason not to immediately hook someone aside from Decisive Strike woes.
So here's the plan: A health state you can recover into. But wait that's op right? Not exactly.
It's called the crippled statis effect. Such an alluring name right? In effect it's a health state you can recover into from bleedout but with it's own set of rules.
For one you cannot run. It's purpose is to recover into a better position than you were before but not completely negate it. Survivors still need to heal you back to injured. And the crippled state will stop the bleedout timer. Bleedout timer would need to be shortened to two minutes as well since you can now stop the bleeding yourself.
Two your actions are all disabled save for opening an exit gate. While this may seem like an effort to further embolden coordinated groups, I've been in far too many situations where a game was hopeless and had to wait until my demise. This at least gives a small chance of saving myself.
And whether or not two crippled survivors can heal each other is up in the air. Although if there were ever a situation where everyone was crippled, it'd be the same deal as being slugged, so the interaction must be there.
Lockers would be a no-go. There's ways to heal using lockers and it's an effective means of hiding. It'd also buff already good perks and take away the agency from cooperative interactions. You're supposed to be helpless.
I would imagine your aura disappearing after getting up as well. Recovering into crippled stops your bleedout so you're not in immediate danger anymore, but you're still vulnerable to the killer returning so I'm on the fence with this one.
Interactions with perks like unbreakable, flip-flop, buckle up, and Tenacity:
Unbreakable would work the same way it always had. Recover faster, and get back into injured state once in a match.
Tenacity you still be able to crawl faster, but recovering would put you into crippled so it'd be a tradeoff. Maybe extends the bleedout timer since you're all commando now. I dunno.
Flip-flop would more or less be the same, but the crippled state would be your prime state for shaking yourself loose.
And Buckle Up would get the biggest change. It'd would turn into a personal buff. Upon recovering into crippled, you see the killer's aura briefly. Additionally it would do some other effect that is normally off limits like run for 10 seconds after recovering. I dunno.
So what is everyone elses idea on this?

It's interesting. I think I like it, but buffing Buckle Up is an easy way to my heart. It'd have interesting synergy with Fixated, too.
