What do you think about this Decisive Strike Rework?

hello y'all, i was thinking about a further little rework of the Decisive Strike perk. Currently my idea is:

Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, if you are being chased by the Killer for 40/30/20 seconds, Decisive Strike activates. Next time you are grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.

Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.

Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

  • So literally what it is with 20 seconds less?

Miss read that, you were saying, if being chased for X seconds than it activates.

The problem is it does nothing to prevent killers from just downing your right off unhook, it would just make Borrowed time much more popular.

  • Everyday, there's a DS Rework post.

    Stop tunneling, count to 60.

Control yourself, only YOU can deny them of their DS usage.

DS got a rework, and it works.

Your proposal allows the survivor to keep DS for the duration of the trial when the killer decides to chase someone else.

Yes, probably Borrowed Time would probably become much popular, but Killers could wait a maximum of 15 seconds for Borrowed Time, instead of the current Decisive Strike, you have to wait at least 60 seconds, meantime other survivors are doing generators.

Yeah you're right about stop tunneling, but when you choose to kill a survivor, you can't because he saves doing nothing thanks to a perk. if you don't tunnel against good SwF , you lose, at least if you don't use killers like nurse, spirit or billy.

EDIT: in the 60 seconds that you're waiting ,meanwhile survivors are doing other gens lol

Yeah you're right about stop tunneling, but when you choose to kill a survivor, you can't because he saves doing nothing thanks to a stupid perk. if you don't tunnel against good SwF , you lose, at least if you don't use killers like nurse, spirit or billy.

To be honest, as a killer I never get DS'ed on. Maybe once a week.

As a survivor, I get to use it almost every match. It's just, some killers are so impatient, rarely are the times when the killer rotates hooks and my DS is still up.

You do realize a slugged survivor is 3 survivors doing nothing right? 1 is on the ground, 1 should be in chase and 1 should be picking the slugged guy up.

  • This idea does nothing to prevent the smack after unhook + pickup, which is the point of DS in the first place.

This right here. These DS posts crack me up. It reveals the hardcore tunneling killers. I only get DS'd at end game if I have a scenario where I have one hooked and one free with a door open.

DS is fine. It is so much better than the old version and actually serves a purpose now. If you eat DS all the time, you likely tunnel too much.
