Killers have no EARLY game pressure
Unless they run corrupt intervention, which is counter intuitive to add more variety to builds.
What can a killer do if the survivors hammer away at 3 gens on the other side of the map while you chase a survivor? You can't just give up chase to go kick a gen or scare people off it , that just trades pressure on one survivor to another as its more than likely that injured survivor will just hop onto a generator.
What if all 4 are on a gen on th r opposite side of the map and your playing any killer but hillbilly? What are you supposed to do then.
It's fine and all telling killers they've got to Learn to apply pressure. But actually tell them how to do it, and if you main survivor.....realize that you know they can do this and you already have an idea of how to play around that. If you play both Sides. This idea is yours too.

What if...mid game is when the game gets interesting and having 5 gens to go all game isn't balanced???
I don't think your reading this correctly.
I'm asking you to tell me how killers are supposed to apply early game pressure.
Find and chase a survivor. Hook them. Early game is pretty much over now.
CI does indeed help, but ruin has been working fantastically for me the last two days. I'm running doc most of the time and I can push people off gens quick with my blast. Just have to break off chases you can't win quickly to push them off again when that gen starts getting worked on.
Don't let a survivor pull you halfway across the map. Lot of times I injure them and come back when they're in a weaker spot.
Play survivor, or play another game destiny 2 is free and has a potato farm
yeah, but having 2-3 done by the time the killer gets 1 hook also isnt...
and the earlygame is the current biggest problem the game has.
as OP said, no map pressure, everyone alive plus all looping tools up is extremely strong and many killers cant keep up with that.
imo they should, until they found an actual solution to this, add what Identity V has: a certain time periode at the beginning of each trial where gen repairs are massively slowed down.
that would ofc not be a good final solution to it, but it would make the time inbetween the ruin nerf and the secondary objectives a lot easier.
Wait destiny 2 is free? Since when?
The killer builds pressure as the trial progresses. No need to change this imo. Who knows how op a killer who can apply pressure early game would be in mid game.
Your right. Because 3 generators got done in that time and it's now approaching endgame.
One problem with that. The trial isn't long enough to allow for a gradual buildup of pressure.
As for your comment about a killer applying early game pressure being OP. It just dawned on me....have you seen the state of legion? At all? Nobody's calling them OP but I guess injuring a survivor is pressure and they do that well enough
Pretty much
So your admitting that your idea of a killer building up pressure gradually is unrealistic to achieve?
Matches are gonna be mid to late game now. Just gonna have to adapt to that. My perks now usually go as follow: 1 early game perk like corrupt or discordance to help me find survivors early, then I focus the other perks on slowing some aspect of the game. If it's gens, then I'll run overcharge and pop, along with a late game perk that helps boost speed.
Or if I focus slowing down healing I'll run bloody butcher, cholorophobia, and overwhelming presence. Cause more time spent healing=less time on the last 2-3 gens. This usually works and only 1 or none of the survivors escape.
Have there actually ever been matches where at least one to two gens never got done? Especially if the survivor is good during a chase? Because the only times I have encountered this is where the killer snowballed and the survivors made mistakes.
I'm legit asking because I've never seen a killer stopping survivors from completing any gens unless you somehow created a snowball.
Or try this,
Play doctor, use these perks: overcharge, bbq, corrupt, overwhelming pressence.
Corrupt pushes them in closer, shock blast to find someone, down and hook your first survivor, find the next one with bbq, if none or only one are lit up, it means they're close by so you can just shock blast to find them. Don't forget to kick any active generators to apply overcharge. You'd be surprised how many miss that skill check which also tells you where they're at and allows you to pressure them.
i didnt say anything against that.
what ive said is, that the beginning of the game, the time where he has no pressure at all, is when he can easily lose 2 to 3 gens without even being able to stop it.
imo a game should be decided in the mid game, currently however it can already be decided in the early game, due to gens popping left and right.
the simple fact that a game can be over within 5 minutes should be enough to show the clear imbalance we have here - and that something needs to be done.
and i also agree with @Seltas0208 here. considering the amount of tools survivors have to slow down the killers objective progression time, their own objective time is WAY too fast.
again: losing one to two gens (20-40% of the survivors objective) just to get one hook (8,3% of the killers objective) is not fair and balanced. and this is not an uncommon scenario. not at all.
at this point you gotta decide:
do you want killers to play fair and fun or do you want to keep your current objective times?
cause im sorry, but both are not possible. every single game i tried being nice in - not tunneling, not proxy camping and not focussing the weakest targets - ive lost. they did their 5 gens and left in just a couple of minutes. at this point i just secure kills asap - and i still struggle keeping up.
Without a snowball where survivors are constantly trading hooks, no. It's not gonna happen. There's just too many generators to pressure ALL of them. It's best to find a good half of the map, with 3-4 gens bunched together in that area, and then dominate that area. Even if they complete 3 gens, they'll eventually be forced to come to your side in order to finish and escape. You're pretty much forcing them to 3 gen themselves. Nothing works 100% of the time, but this strategy works a good portion of the time.
No I mean mid game can always slip into end game if either side makes a mistake.
The first three gens are probably 33% of the survivors' objective if you're being generous. Just like how one kill is over 50% of the killer's objective. If you don't understand where these estimates come from, you don't understand how dbd is played.
Lul. 3 gens done is 60% of the survivors objective and 1 kill is 25% of the killers objective. I don't know where you got your numbers from.
Thanks for proving my point.
Please enlighten me then, because unless there is some hidden objective that was just added, 3 gens done is not 33% of their objective.
Gates
Lmao. Gates only take like 15 seconds to open, but sure... pretend like gate times have a significant impact on the game. Also I would like to know why you think 1 killer is over 50% of a killers objective?
1 v 3 is easier than 1 v 4
