Just saying, it wasn't you who did it. This was the Devs so stop taking credit you're not entitled to that too.
No, but they want to spread the side vs side bias by acting like they caused it.
They also want to feel better about themselves since they're obviously the type who cant hit great skill checks at all, or ruin wouldnt be a problem.
