I would assume so. Much like Huntress' lullaby. You know about it the second you hit a skillcheck.
I don’t see how it wouldn’t...a regressing gen sparks. If a gen sparks the moment you let go of it...ruin is there.

Because it's BHVR. You can't deny they are survivor biased.
I'm sure it will. Future updates will probably have any hex totems emitting a beam of light that can be seen from anywhere on the map. You know cuz, every survivor deserves red ranks.
It sounds like you just need to gen tap to check. Start the game, get a little gen progress, then let go to see if it sparks. If it does, ruin's in play. That seems... less than stellar
