Proximity camping?

So a little of a backstory i'm on the new map running all seeing blood with whispers and the one that increases movement speed on wraith tremendously while cloaked. Well there was this one girl who loved to throw down a pallet and tbag me and flashlight me while i was breaking the pallet so i eventually downed her and hooked her. Well while she was on the hook whispers was activated and since whispers has amazing synergy with all seeing blood of course i looked around and found like the 3 other survivors and downed them and by the time i got the last guy the girl i had hooked had died on hook. Well they hadn't completed any gens yet. So i wasn't really satisfied so i messaged the one and said i was giving them a 1 minute head start which i literally did i let the one on my shoulder wiggle out and went afk for a minute while i got a drink. Came back downed everyone again hooked them all and let the last survivor leave through hatch. Well i messaged the guy and he called me a proximity camper. Was i really when i knew the other survivors where nearby because of whispers? (And yes he actually wanted me to let the other survivors unhook him yet i looked at his perks im glad i didnt because of ds).

Camping is fine if you know someone is nearby, but whispers does get activated by hooked survivors.

I have a couple of things to comment on this:

1. Sounds like you had a pretty solid game, congrats mate
2. Moving near a hooked person will cause Whispers to light up, I realise you saw some blood but thought it might be helpful to clarify how whispers works
3. Whether or not you proxy camped is less relevant than the fact that the survivor you played against doesn't have your best interests in mind. If you feel like your behaviour reflected the best play you could have made at the time, that's good enough. Regardless of how you try and justify it to that particular survivor, they clearly have no interest in hearing your side of the story, and it looks to me like they are trying to hurt your feelings; this is definitely the kind of person who it is best to avoid.
4. For what it's worth, to me it feels like you made the best play that you could, which is made pretty self-evident when you consider you won the match in a very short timeframe.

I use Whispers a lot for my killer builds, but Whispers does get triggered by the hooked survivor for future reference.

I speak as a survivor main, if a survivor does t bag and spam their flashlight they aren't in the position to complain if they get camped when they are downed. If you want to t bag you got to have the skills to back it up.
