  • I think it's the game still attempting to send you to a disabled map even though it's disabled. Just happened to me and when it got to the "player disconnected" screen it listed a map which is currently disabled. It takes people disconnecting to end the loading/cancel out the match.

  • I mostly play survivor and still think boons are too much. They should only be placeable once, if the entire team can have the perk it's too much to be infinitely reset. Yes hex totems don't need to be setup at all but it's only 1 perk, the tradeoff of having to take time to setup a boon is that each boon is 2 perks in 1. A hex is permanently destroyable and there's only 1 totem for each hex, yet the same boon can be placed infinitely by multiple people AND on top of a hex totem w/o having to take the extra time to cleanse it first. I think they should be one time use by each survivor, and you have to take double the time to place on a hex totem. That seems fair to me.

  • I don't even play spirit but watched a top tier spirit player on youtube struggle because she is USELESS with iron will + no scratchmarks. What's even the point of phasing now except to move faster, in which case just play blight or wraith where you can actually still see people. DBD really nerfed a killer's entire power to be useless. Her whole tradeoff was that you could not see her but she also couldn't see you, now she is detectable like wraith except she still can't see you.

  • Theres one between 2 blue barrels upstairs on the game map too.

  • No scratch marks is ok if you're bleeding, if you're not it should just be less obvious faded marks so survivors aren't constantly invisible.

Honestly how fog should work is that it limits what the survivors and killers see from distance.

Like with the strongest fog offering you shouldn't be able to see the boat on the other side of the swamp map.

I can see getting rid of fog you have to walk through and can't see anything, but they need to bring it back for in the distance. It makes the game more eery again and prevents people from seeing eachother a mile away.

Yes, there were few times I saw 3rd survivor just keep standing at Gate, while the 4th injured one crouch near the hatch waiting for him to leave to get the hatch. And that 3rd guy just escape at the very last moment.

I had to blame that guy in post chat, if he wanted to help, just go back into the trial, find the 4th guy and lead him out. Its pointless just to wait at gate.

Leaving is Survivor's choice, they dont need Killer to push them out

One time I was downed and actually found the hatch by crawling, I had a whole 20 seconds to get it while the killer was looking around for it but the remaining person was just standing in the gate doing nothing, killer found me and killed me. If they just left I literally could have escaped, cause clearly they weren't going to come help me.

How would they know that the last guy was standing on the hatch?

They could have been waiting to see if he needed rescuing.

Yeah but you're not going to be able to rescue someone in under 15 seconds unless the hook is at the gate, that's why i'm saying if theres only about 15 seconds left just leave.

this is why i say if survs stay in the exit room too long, they should insta die.

but also, why was said hatch surv not trynna go to the gate?

they tried at around 12 seconds left but the gate near the hatch was closed and it was too late to reach the other one so they ran back to the hatch hoping the team would leave. The thing is the killer threw the whole match from the start just to let us farm points so I have no clue why the remaining people were waiting to tbag or whatever.

I die in 99% of matches. This game is fun only for killers. why not just make ranks from escapes? If I'm always dead, why do I keep playing against strong opponents?

Because the ranking is garbage, I'm a rank 3 survivor playing solo but only escape 30% of games. Apparently just doing enough hook saves and objectives makes you good enough to go against strong killers, even if your running and escape skills are subpar.

True true. Just getting into a chase with a survivor is good enough for me to tell what kind of player they are. People emphasize too heavily on what rank others are but it literally means nothing. I’ve gone against god tier players in green and purple ranks and straight up potatoes at red ranks.

Same, people can have skill or suck at any rank but 95% of low ranks suck and getting put against a seasoned team on an account with less than 10 hours proved to me the matching just got turned off.

That's not relevant for the test, though. The goal is to see if the trial was fair, stop focusing so much on flawed ranks that really only show how much someone played between rank resets.

Keep in mind that the more you play, the more accurate MMR becomes.

My point is that a practically new account with less than 10 hours went up against people who have played extensively. That's just going to discourage new people from playing. Nowhere in the game news does it mention a test going on so new people are going to think an unbalanced match like that is normal.

  • Nope, I'm certain they just turned rank off entirely for matchmaking. Purple killer on pc but went to test a match on old xbox account that's been reset to rank 20 killer and went up against a very obvious red rank meta build swf, don't need to see the rank numbers to know.

  • If this game gets anymore comical than it already is. All the new silly and cute cosmetics, and trickster as a whole (because a cyberpunk joker is not scary at all whatsoever) are ruining the game. They need to redo the default killer music to actually be chilling and less action movie-esque. This game has not been scary for a while. It's made it to where it's a "let's laugh at the killer and bully them" fest for survivors because they do not fear the killers, and "I can see the survivors across the map and tunnel them cause of their silly colorful outfits with huge hats and pieces" for the killer. I wouldn't even classify this as a horror game, it's just an action game at this point. It really doesn't need to get more memey and comical. They really need to bring back the mist, that's what made the maps eery and creepy and now that it's gone it's less fun and too easy to see people a mile away

Performance. The way the game breaks Xbox every update. I finally found a goat to sacrifice for a Xbox series S so that should hopefully help me for future updates but no holding my breath on that.

I had to buy this game on PC because it became completely unplayable on my xbox one a year ago, just dashboards immediately upon loading and if I somehow get to play, the graphics bug out and lag so bad I can't do anything but stand there and wait for the match to end or DC

Why comms? Just generally curious since I am for that.

Comms should be by proximity, like if you are close to another survivor. It's not realistic at all and unfair for someone across the map on top of a building/hill telling everyone where the killer is/what they're doing.

  • Twins for sure. I still go against a few plagues, pigs, and hillybillies a month. I was gonna say hag or blight but i've seen a big resurgence lately i've gone against them at least twice a day each. Demo and oni are really rare after twins for me, like maybe once a month. I haven't gone against twins in months though, but I know it varies per player and rank. I'm always in red/high purple rank

You personally shouldn't be getting their DC penalty. But if you are in a party with them, you will all be subject to the matchmaking lock until their DC penalty has expired. If you leave that party and go solo for example the DC penalty would not be there then.

I left the party and it still wouldn't let me play solo.

  • Why waste our time just to watch you leave, there's no point. Besides you clearly just want to tbag the killer or make them watch you escape if you care about them going to the exit gate so much lol. There's no reason to stay as a survivor anyways, just end the game and move on to the next match stop wasting everyone's time. As soon as I open the gate as a survivor I'm gone unless someone needs help, why would I sit there and wait for the killer to chase me out when I already won. This is the most pointless discussion question I've seen on here

  • This is why I don't switch to PC, and cause my husband got it for me on xbox and I've invested too much time into my account. I turned off cross platform completely because there has been survivors with instant heal off hook and running with sonic speed away, but I've encountered more hacking killers. Other day went up against a PC Freddy that disabled the alarm clocks, they couldn't be used at all, and literally one hit downed everyone from healthy which isn't physically possible unless you have the stalk ability (ghostface/myers). There's videos of people on youtube managing to add like every single game perk and ability to their characters on PC. Also went up against a spirit that magically teleported to everyone across the map no matter where you were, could be hooking someone across the map then boom she was behind me within 2 seconds later.
