Survivor mains are gonna complain over everything and anything, and I'm saying this as a [surprisingly sane] survivor main lol. They always have to be superior, no matter the circumstance. You didn't get them? Trash killer. 4K? Trash killer. Exploit their mistake? Trash killer. Like...it never ends. Just laugh at them and go. It's like watching a child throw a tantrum over not getting ice cream.
Their logic can't be understood. I never will understand it because their logic consists of stupid things lol.

I play both so I can get a better perspective and see what the other sides have to deal with. Unfortunately if I want to play killer I have to encourage myself because I'm on PS4 and the amount of toxicity I can get is wack. I also stopped due to the matchmaking.
These days I mainly stick to survivor. But since Trickster came out I might get back into killer because I've been eager for his arrival. He seems fun.

It sucks yeah, especially since Survivors can play as selfishly as they want, but it is what it is, I guess.
Some of the situations similar to the ones you listed above is why I dodge keys in Solo. Not worth getting demotivated over.
I don't touch keys either tbh. Green keys are useless and you're at risk of being tunneled/camped if you're carrying a purple/pink one. Unless I find one in a chest and I know the game isn't gonna work out I just leave em to rot.

Or let it spawn AFTER 3 people have been sacrificed. It's so tiring. I gave up and bought the rest of the rift cause I didn't wanna deal with people like that anymore lmao

I know what it's like to have to complete a rift challenge; it's stressful and the rift closes soon so the tensions are high, but why be useless and refuse to assist your teammates? At least try and say you did what you could. All it's asking for is salt and angry messages.

OR, learn to use the salt as fuel. At the end of the day, it's not up to you to provide survivors with a good time. Kick the living ######### out of them by any means, and make their tears flow like the rivers of ancient Babylon. Bathe in the tears.
I wish I was able to, lol. Whenever I see a survivor do something BM/salty my flight or fight gets triggered for some reason. Albeit I've been learning Plague and am working on my Legion so I can, as you say, bathe in their tears lol. I just hope to find the motivation to play Spirit again. It's not even funny how some of my killer choices attract some of the saltiest players imaginable.

I always wondered why Spirit brought me more hate than Legion or Huntress? I've never had salty messages until I started getting into Spirit lol. Odd.
OP, since you're on PC, I suggest blocking chat, or ignoring it all together. Type "gg" and leave. Let them rant to an empty audience. You don't deserve the damper on your mental health because an idiot got mad at your killer choice.
Also, nice work killing them with kindness OP. They project their insecurities on video games and have to resort to namecalling. Good on you for keeping cool!

If they have to use perks that can guarantee more chances then they have no right to say you suck lol. They need more chances because they're not skilled enough to make do with the ones they're given. This game makes me laugh more than I should lol. I also find it funny how a rank yellow did better than reds.

I like to use Dark Sense, tbh. After getting a gen done I'm able to see where the killer is so I can position myself better. I don't know if it's considered underrated but I don't see it being used much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know the pain, OP. I began playing killer weeks ago and have gotten survivors that made my life a living hell. Everything I do is apparently against the law to them. [eyeroll]
I'm on PS4 so things are a bit different, but I highly suggest you ignore/block postgame chat. Just type "GGWP" and leave. That's it. You don't even have to type anything if they're already spamming the chat with bullshit. Riling you up is what their intention is. If they're gonna get upset over you doing your job, then that's their problem. You are not responsible for their happiness. I say this as a survivor main; they will whine about everything on God's green Earth.
I was told that going for the recently hooked one is frowned upon due to not letting them play the game properly, especially if you hooked them at the start. Like Aquamarine said, you can try and go for the unhooker so at least 2 people are away from objectives, and they're closer to getting death hook. It's better than getting one to death hook, and then having to do the rest while gens are being popped.
Of course, doing that is just a suggestion. If you have a strategy that works, use it.
Although if you're nearby and their teammate knows this while still unhooking them anyway, that is their fault for not running BT. Not yours. Sometimes they'll blame their idiocy on you, and all you have to do is roll your eyes at their narcissism.
Best of luck to you, OP. This game is full of toxicity, but I promise you that not all of us are bad. I know that's hard to believe, but trust me lol.

I don't think he had it on? I was too busy gawking at the lack of a mori lol. I don't recall seeing the Hex icon at all throughout the game, so I don't know.
