Actually in low/mid ranks, some folks with less than 500 hours, when they saw that a generator was affected by the old ruin.. they just start wandering around or hiding in lockers, doing random totems.
And, the older ruin was a unfair experience for newcomers.

That's called assumption, that doesn't help nor work, I didn't read your post cause 75% of the posts are people whining, saying incoherent monkey language.
You want a way to ######### in the game? There's a good one, called 'close the application'.
"People like you are the one who ruins the dbd" you're saying I'm the one who 'ruins the game' but you insist on suiciding and screwing your teammates over, got a problem with farming Killers? Play Killer, people can't dictate how you play there.
You're funny.
Just.. don't say things like that..
-
You don't need to grind all the way around.
It doesn't matter after sometime, things here is about cosmetics.
Just set a time for playing, play some matches then stop.
-
Why are you paying and spending soo much time playing?
-
"they are ready to play the match through for fun regardless of what comes next."
No.
-
Jesus.. dude.. just let people die.. they don't want to keep playing.
-
It's size of red giant star!

Yes, and killing yourself ruins the game for the other 4 players. And I wonder what BHVR would decide to do by then?
If the game reach a point that someone want to suicide/leave/dc, maybe is because it's already ruined.

No, that is literally circumventing the DC bans and punishments that are about to be put in place.
You may not have fun, but you have to stick to it to the end. I may hate OoO but the most I can do when I realize I can't do anything is go to a corner, be AFK for a bit, and then tell the survivors to leave when the gens are done.
Did I have fun? No. But did I do other things to spend my time? Yes.
Soo give a option for killer kill themselves also.
It's a game, not a frickin job.
-
Yes, please for the god saken, I don't care either about bloodpoints or pips, after all these years it doesn't matter anymore
A free option to suicide/giveup on dying state, and just give 9999 bloodpoints + 1 kill for the killer and leave a token for mori/hooks, whatever the killer what to do
No one should obligated to play a match that isn't fun
-
Yes
-
Its complicated to balance, because folks with 2000+++ hours, can play this game without looking at screen, exceptional reaction times and know a lot about mindgames.
But, I don't think dbd have a large playbase, enough to make somekind of ranking hour based system.
At higher ranks, be prepared to be humiliated by both sides (surv/killers).
-
For me playing solo is more easy and boring, I can stay focused in the and having no obligations with anyone
Swf is just more for fun, but sucess rate is lower.
-
You are not obligated to reach rank 1 everytime, and after sometime it won't matters at all.
Folks who are stable there, they have their reasons.
-
I can't agree more, nerf the hitbox from killers :}
-
if punishment was something that worked in society...
Think about it, people leave like this because it's not worth to stay there, and ban will sound like "finally, time to do something more fun".
-
Advancing on what? It's not supposed to be a 100 hours game, rushing it can be bad for yours learning curve.
I mean, less reasonable reasons to play.
-
This discussion will not go anywhere, won't make any difference all because the lack of proper perspective.
-
At the beginning of the game, keys, brand new part, flashlight, pallets got nerfed.
Soo the list goes on.. mechanics, hitbox, mom, OoO (joke), instaheal..
Indeed, everything is soo going well..
The mastery levels of killer have a higher cap, even more rewarding for them
Think about, why reasonable killers almost every match avoid tunelling? Why avoid noed? Insidous? Insta down? Camping? Nurse? Aura revealing addons offering combos? Why that pity?
These days even doing gens without toolbox can be considered as tryhard, or 3 deaths / 1 escaped can be considered a unfair win
Good luck killing the "high hours" playerbase.
-
Playing on high ranks, shouldn't be easy at all.
Nerfing swf, will inflict a seriously damage in the playerbase.
It's not because they want play on supposedly "easy mode", they play this way because is more fun to play together, maybe nerfing it will cause more problems than solutions.
-
Just ######### on hook, or dc (avoid), that's the rule.
If we don't have a chance, why should we play?
-
You killed 3 - 1 escaped, it's not enough?
Btw, 35 minutes playing a match.. it's a lot of time, just check the gen times.
-
For real, sometimes i think that game should not have any kind of aura revealing stuff, it's breaks the immersion of horror game turning out the stealth gameplay.
-
The problem cannot be just the swf itself, actually, maybe it's "who are them".

I've seen global dconns but not dconns where a person leaves w/o them actually purposefully leaving. Haunted Ground. 'spawned too close to the killer'. 'quick down'. I'm averaging about 1-2 dconns nearly every game recently and it's time for DBD to institute a dconn cooldown just like CSGO has. Losing a pip isn't enough punishment for these quick dconns
First cooldown (level 1) - lasts 30 minutes
Second cooldown (level 2) - lasts 2 hours
Third cooldown (level 3) - lasts 24 hours
Fourth cooldown (level 4) - lasts 1 week
Indeed, I agree with that suggestion.
Btw not just csgo but others games also, like dota 2 for example (or any competitive game).
-
hello darkness my old friend..
-
Do you have any idea how much is 10,20,30 segs in a chase or with a killer aiming at you?
Think about who is left behind, trying to open one of the gates (20 segs I guess) with the killer aiming at him.
-
Relax, only really skilled killes don't use BBQ/Ruin. (Folks with 2000+ hours mainkiller farm mode off)
Try distortion and stick doing gens even with ruin.
Beware, sometimes it can be truly humiliating playing against someone who doesn't use bbq/ruin.

The other person is suggesting using PWYF to make sure you can offset the speed debuff of Judith's Tombstone. If Tombstone Myers is actually trying to conserve his PWYF tokens for EW3, he isn't hurting people, so those Survivors are not under any pressure until EW3 kicks in (which now also takes longer thanks to Tombstone tremendously increasing the stalk needed to reach EW3). Hence, genrush.
When we playing as survivors realize that myers is taking too long to charge it can be considered as pressure to do the obvious, there's is no genrush.
Only survivors who want to do gens and others playing around trying to be funny, too scared and waiting for someone screw up, doing dull totems.. you know the drill.
Don't forget about ruin, discordance and other things to slow the pace.

I think Michael's power by default reflects Michael's "thing" in the movies.
Also, PWYF isn't enough to make Tombstone worth using. You still have to spend oodles of time stalking while Survivors are free to genrush, and once you do get to EW3, you are still unlikely to get more than one person with a single EW3. You are still better off just using Tombstone Piece.
"Survivors are free to genrush"
Indeed, doing gen is the new meta for a successful game.
-
I really don't care soo much about wins or loses, but the lobby dodging make the game awful, taking ages to get into a match.
-
The ability to kill everyone easily (no dying state required), I mean literally remove them from match..
That thing should have drawbacks or everyone is going to DC in a such unfair match.
-
Key is a high valuable item, I have seen killers just getting into matches to use Franklin then quit, sit in the key or just tunnel and mori who else is wearing a key
They even change theirs nick to "item robber", "item stealer" heh
-

That doesn't work because the Key can just be picked up later.
Now, if the Killer could also step on a Key and break it... 🤔
Hmm...and then you can add another add-on that makes the Key unbreakable...
Could this be the solution I was looking for to balance Keys out?
There's ways to deal with that
There's a chance of 80% of try to get it back, Soo keep that place on mind.
Tunnel that survivor and remove him earlier.
Searching for key and getting it back is risky and probably a waste of time, but almost everyone does.
-
Dude, buff Judith's tombstone? Really? Heh.. that thing is already super OP.
-
Would be nice distortion with more tokens or a way to add tokens
Btw hiding in lockers can go wrong if the killer knows you (iron maiden)
And how you counter that with perks..?
-
5 gens left, 3 dead, 1 through the hatch
Yep.. it's a really awesome balanced match for that survivor who escaped and others who died doing nothing or trying to.
Btw, If you find the hatch first (is more easy for killers).. Anyone left is probably dead.
-
That will help fix the lobby dodging by the killer also, I find it more annoying than mori.
-
If you see someone with key in the lobby, just add Franklin to yours perks
-
Please don't..
Just need a ruin to harm the morale..
-

And hey, there’s Sole Survivor, a heavily underrated perk if you do find yourself as 1 of the last 2 survivors alive.
Even people with 1000+ hours on object of obsession avoid using it.
-
What about 3 tokens for nurse calling, BBQ and distortion? Because that ######### is infinite.
Obs: in case of multiple activations, start from first to the last perk.
-
Just leave them on ground and maybe bring nurse calling, it should be enough.
Btw, 5 min match? Sounds awfully unbalanced.
-
Indeed, but.. what about skill checks for killers abilities? :D
-
Well, I don't like to play against a huntress with onehit + noed + mori, still I understand that sometimes or maybe often.. things won't go well, the way I like it.
-
Indeed, after 3000hours + playing as survivor that lobby dodge make the game really awful for experienced players.
Everyday, I MEAN EVERYDAY, with no exceptions.. I get into 30 min or more of lobby dodging by the killer.
Obs: I don't teabags, hostage games or trash talking, most of the time I just say gg and leave (even in terrible matches).
It could be simple solved:
Don't reveal the players (chars, nicks, anything) in the matchmaking like others games do, if the killer is afraid or tired, just leave ingame, lose some pips and play with people which have the equivalent skills levels.
