  • I don't agree with the change. Some killers, like the doctor, the hag, etc don't have the special attack that downs the survivor with a single hit, and so in general it takes longer to put them into dying state. If I use Hillibilly or Bubba for example, I don't even bother to waste a perk slot if I can use the chainsaw.

    Lunge.

    Had it not been for the tip on the loading screen, I doubt I'd ever known about it...

    What is it exactly? I don't understand

  • After 3 levels as devotion I realised I can

    • delete the Hag's traps using the flashlight
    • click on Survivor and rotate it

    I think @Tsulan is talking about the Category Cap. This should indeed be removed. Your example with 8000 points on Objective is pretty flawed, if I do two Gens with another Survivor, I am almost maxed out, with Prove Thyself I am maxed out after 1 1/2 Gens, I think.

    But does this mean I should not do Gens anymore and do something else? No. What about getting chased while maxed out Boldness? Should I not get any BPs for that?

    The Category Cap should go, especially because the Survival-Category is quite difficult to max out. On the Killer Side for some Killers, Deviousness is hard to get, but you max out in Hunting and Brutality pretty easy.

    There is a issue with points assignment, not with capping.

    If it's easy to cap it with Prove Thyself I think the problem is with this perk, which is quite generous with the bonus and therefore I think PT needs to be recalibrated or even rethought, considering that you already get a bonus for co-operation. This applies also to similar perks.

    I think I never see a cap on Survival, but that's, again, has nothing to do with caping, it just because we don't gain points on that doesn't mean it would be fairer to remove the caps to make up for them.

    Of course, it doesn't make any sense to cap one or two categories.

  • Because it may encourage farming, making the game potentially endless other than flat and hence boring. When in a match you are capped at 8,000 points on objectives - assuming you get iridescent emblem - then you can focus on doing something different, at the advantage of the team.

    This game is so broken you can actually be bad at the game and still rank up, the worst part about solo is teammates dc or making dumb plays and it sucks that you sometimes have to pay for someone else's mistake but it's not all the time and ranking up is so easy it's more about how much you play over how good you do just because if you do a little bit of everything in a match you pip up even if it was a terrible game and you all die

    How do you say so? This doesn't apply quite to me . Let's say I am Rank between 2 and 4 and I achieve at my worst 1 iridescent, 1 gold and 2 silver, that means 11 points which is 1 point left to pip up. For example,

    • if I die and last and survive long enough is silver (2 points);
    • if I do almost the equivalent of two generators and maybe one dull totem is gold (3 points) though almost to be iridescent - that happens quite often;
    • but if I do a lot of gens probably I miss the killer, unless I am aggressive and choose to be chased I need to be good to evade or with lost chases I lose points as well. So if I am 'actually bad', at my best it's a silver (2 points). Also here your teammates must be very good to see when it's the moment to rush into gens, so that I can earn some diversion points, although I think they are quite a few
    • unhooking and healing is the easiest parts even if your mates unhook unsafely but you can heal to make up for the loss. So I give iridescent, 4 points granted.

    This is a total of 11 points, which is not enough to pip between rank 2 or 4. Therefore I don't think that I can actually be bad and rank up and do a bit of everything. I need to know also how to engage with the killer, how to tire it out.

  • Guys your are fantastic! I'm loving this community I didn't expect so many feedbacks in a quite short time

    I have been a user of Iron Will in my all characters for long time but I haven't played DBD for a few months too and I hadn't noticed that before - I then suppose they tweaked that a while ago. But thanks folks, I'll keep an eye on that!

    Or probably me being a dumb and didn't notice most likely ahah

    They were running stridor. Youll hear yourself gruntinf even with iron will because stridor increases your grunts of pain above 0%

    I don't get it though. If the perk literally says 'Survivors' Grunts of Pain are 25/50/50 % louder and regular breathing is 0/0/25 % louder.' and Iron Will decreases to 0%, then any % increase of 0% is still 0%.

    Late second switching is a dick move, survivors (especially SWF in red ranks) switch items last seconds before match starts to get the upper hand (bringing keys or map) or just straight up bully the killer (4-man flashlight).

    What I want is for killer to have a window of seconds to change their perks/addons to at least counter survivors (perks like franklin's/agitation/infectious fright = counter flashlight plays, hex: retribution/ or just not bringing totems = counter maps etc.)

    Maybe DBD should lock survivors item and perks at the 15 second countdown, which gives the killer 10 seconds to change the perks they want or just dodge the lobby or whatever.

    #StopBullyingKillers

    I don't agree. How should that be a problem at all? I see the killer has already an edge over survivors because it can see them. Survivors on the other hand can't gear up based on who the killer is because they simply don't see it. Some perks could also turn much more useful against certain killers, for example Spine Chill against the Wraith, or torches to remove the Hag's traps.

    Omg yes! people try to use the 2 gestures for everything but the thing is if you use point for where the killer is then survivors most of the time think you want them to go over there. Its not a hard gesture to do either (well at least I don't think so) and I think it will be very useful!

    I pretty much understand what the others want to communicate depending on the circumstances. I think 'come here' is unequivocal and can be used for suggesting your mates also not to get there. Or if I am injured and don't want to be healed because I know the killer is coming or I prefer rush into the gen, I just point somewhere and I walk away to the opposite direction (also because majority of survivors doesn't know how NOT to run to stay hidden from the killer).

    As a third option, I teabag to mates when they fail repeatedly skill checks or don't stay still while I heal them - or just to have fun.

    But again a be-quiet gesture really fits the mechanics and the soul of the game as killers hunting most relies on survivors noise (breathing, grunting, walking, running, etc.).
