  • It's kinda funny, really. In the past Wraith was bottom of the barrell. Trash-tier killer. Needs addons to even be playable.

Now he's got people asking for arbitrary nerfs to his basekit just for the sin of being a good killer.

Started from the bottom, now we're here. You havent truly made it til you get calls for your nerf on the forums.

    Great logic there.

Instead of actually finding a way to balance the game, you advise people to find a way around it.

Plenty of streamers, professional DBD players and other proficient players continuously stated that Wraith is A and up when it comes to tier and potential.

I have no problem of him staying there, but he's the ONLY killer to move faster than a survivor and outrun them to a pallet. If he has that advantage, at least you need to give him some disadvantages to compensate. That was my initial argument.

The only killer who can use their power to prevent you from getting to the pallet. Except for Trapper, Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag, Doctor, Bubba, Clown, Spirit (Who actually has an easier time doing so BECAUSE she has no collision), Legion, Demo, Oni, Blight, Twins, and PInhead.

  • Midwitch is fine. Honestly some killers have a harder time there than others but the same is true for any map.

I want to tell you a story though. Recently I forced Midwitch with a plan in mind.

    1)Get hit

    2) Trigger Blood Pact

    3) Loop as long as possible.

Killer was a Legion, bless his heart. He chased us for like 4 straight minutes, outrunning his feral frenzy, looping upstairs forever. Eventually we hit a wall but wow. Just wow. Why is Blood Pact so based on Midwitch?

    Knock out somewhat counters it.

This. I'm surprised more people dont just run KO, given all the complaining about SWFs. You'd be surprised how many teams rely on those auras, or dont know how to accurately describe where they are over comms.

  • I tend to play super aggressively and dedicate my perks and addons to just getting information.

Play a lot of Bubba, Hag, Pig, Clown, and Wraith, but been playing more Deathslinger lately.

Hold on just gotta play some Deathslinger so I can actually scope in on the small as Entity charms and see what they are while they clip in and out of Survivors.

You cant notice a bright yellow triangle bouncing on their left hip? I mean when you hook survivors they're literally right in your face.

  • I mean, it's no different than smashing survivors based on that pineapple pizza charm.

  • People complain about Spine Chill? I mean, it can be annoying if you're trying to catch someone off a gen and they just SB away top speed at the first flash, but there's ways around that. It's just another perk killers need to consider if they're having issues catching a survivor out of position. Personally I try to exploit that knowledge when I play as killer and I deduce they're probably running spine chill.

Got tunneled out of a game today and got told it’s because I did a circle in front of a pallet? Lmao since when is that being toxic? I’m just trying to determine if I’m running away or looping this tile. Am I late to this or..?

Sounds like the killer got taunted by your actions. Not necessarily toxic but...

TBH I do the same thing at the pallet and I get my butt kicked on the regular for it.

No but seriously, it's almost the end of summer, how come there's no swimsuit cosmetics? Like I wonder why we haven't gotten any within the four years this games been out. Do they think no one will buy them?

I'd give all my money for a Dwight mankini skin 😎

Maybe it's okay to tunnel SOME survivors...

thats the cleanest way ever to say somebody is bad at the game i gotta give you credits lmao

I wasn't trying to imply that. What I was meaning was if you're in a wide open area, or there's no safe pallets the Deathslinger can't just swooce around, that's either a problem with the map, the RNG, or your teammates. Or perhaps the game's gone too long and there's little resources around. Deathslinger's power would be an issue, but any killer would have an easier time if you're screwed by the map.

and tbh dodging is either a 1 in 2 or 2 in 3 chance of success depending on how the 'slinger runs.

if he shoots me, then hits me, he doesnt get a longer hit animation, he can just catch up within 5 seconds and shoot again

If there's no cover, jungle gyms, or moderately safe pallets within that 5 seconds with the speed boost you get from being hit, and he doesn't fall for your attempt to dodge, your problem isn't necessarily Deathslinger.

I'd like to hear how survivors should counter Pyramid Head, because I legitimately don't think there's a way that doesn't rely on the killer making mistakes. The best thing I can think of is dropping pallets way early and running in the other direction. He needs massively reduced movement speed when using Rites of Judgement imo. His ability to zone makes him ridiculous in 1v1s right now.

My #1 strategy against PH if they're trying to bait them to use their laser going into the loop. It's not 100% because of servers and a patient pyramid head might be able to get past it but I've gotten out of a lot of nasty surprises with that technique. Also, I'm considering testing and incorporating abusing lockers into the mix. Throwing pallets early pretty much gaurentees you're taking a laser to the face unless it's really early, in which case you shouldnt do it anyways.

Dont be fooled, the only way to counter PH is to force him to make mistakes, but in fairness that's how you counter any killer.

I dont think its a perfect idea or anything, just a little tweak to make him more counterable, what he needs is less 1v1 focussed chases and more grouped power (at least in my opinion)

I dont agree with your position he needs less 1v1 focus. The ability to pressure multiple survivors at once is very strong, and if there's a ranged component with that I would think he'd be very, very uncounterable. Consider as well that Deathslinger can easily get the first hit through loops, but the second hit 'usually' takes a bit more effort and has a higher margin of error.

seriously? to me its laughable when I get the "always using meta perks" argument in post game chat but is it any wonder why these perks are meta?

BT constant campers and tunnelers so we have to keep each other safe

DS still with camps and tunnels watch out for yourself

DH oh no an exhaustion perk that doesnt help that much if youre a good killer

Im just saying that the complaints are annoying but more so its an excuse for them to BM or otherwise act toxic

NOTE: not all killers are saying this and not all killers complain but likewise not all survivors run meta perks. and all that aside most of the "meta" perks cant even be used by survivor if you play fair or am I wrong?

If DH is not even that good against good killers, why would you run it?

Because it is good, even against good killers.

When I'm talking killer strats with people, especially new players, I always tell them they have to learn how to play around meta perks like the ones you mentioned.

a great rework idea is to make his gun more accurate the longer you aim, for example when he starts aiming he begins with 25% accuracy and it takes like 3/4 seconds untill he gets 75-100% accuracy

    So your idea is to:

    1. Give the survivor a 4-second heads up that the killer is using their one-shot-reload power, giving them ample opportunity to time a dodge
    2. After that 4 seconds make it so the killer has to 'maybe' score a hit, with a ~3-second reload, but if he doesnt time his 4-seconds properly he'll more than likely waste his shot even if the survivor is not dodging.

Deathslinger doesn't need a rework. Just as with Pyramid Head, survivors just need to rethink how they approach loops to bait the killer's power, and more accurately predict dodge in the open.

    1. I really like the Blight's power in concept. It could use a little more finessing to get to a point, specifically with how wonky the Lethal Rush is, and maybe give like a extra half second on aiming after Slamming, but all in all I really like Pinball Alchemist.
    2. Tunneling and Camping is a tactical decision on the Killer's part and sometimes it is the correct decision.
    3. The only toxic behavior is in post-game chat with people yelling and complaining to each other. Any 'toxic'' behavior form either side in game is either a tactical decision or a taunt, which I would not call toxic. Exceptions: item-teching, sandbagging (among survivors), etc.
    4. Following up with number 3: Survivors on the whole are more toxic than killers in my experience.
    5. Survivors must realize that there are 5 teams in each match. Your survival does not beget my survival. I don't get rewarded because you get out and not me, and too often I see someone go in for an important save, just to lose their courage immediately after unhooking and wont commit to protecting the unhooked survivor.
    6. Mettle of Man is the perk of true champions, and is easy to proc if you commit yourself to it. "But you gotta work on gens!" Nope, I regularly turn 2k and 3k into maybe myself dying on hook, and the other three go out through gates.Sometimes I get lucky and I get to leave too.
    7. The meta is so saturated with DS that every killer works around it or just bites it. Personally I bite it if I have any sort of lead just to get it out of the way, and I have contingencies on how to handle it once it becomes an issue.

Just curious if I should expect to keep getting hit by school bus size hatchets or not lol

I mean the hatchets are addressed. They're addressed to you, fly-by-mail.

  • Oh hell yes, let's make BBQ force screaming on far off survivors. Run that on Doctor with Tremors, Nemesis, and Dead Man's Switch and literally block all gens all the time.

  • Tunneling is extremely un-fun for the survivor that's being tunneled, and makes it harder for the rest of the team to complete their objective. But survivors have a number of techniques that make it harder for the killer to achieve their objective as well, most notable being comms and second-chance perks that allow them to make any play with almost no consequence. If you cannot outsmart or outplay your opponent when they have all these backups and information, you have to break them somehow.

Unless you're goal is not to win, in which case, no tunneling is bad.

  • PH's ability to zone survivors is pretty strong, but I think this will only necessitate developing better looping strategies against him. PH is certainly shaking things up as far as how you're supposed to run your loops.

  • I run Second Wind on a Mettle of Man build and I get it off successfully about half the time, which in my opinion is about what a perk should do. Some killers inherently stop it, but thats the risk one runs with those kinds of perks.

  • Honestly sounds like your issue is with your teammate, rather than the Bubba. I'm gonna assume you're one of the three red ranks, so I really have to question why you decided to insult the low rank killer post game when there's no way he was getting kills normally with how you say you were looping him.

  • Bubba, hands down. His addons are at best decent and at worst do not work, and he doesnt even have Iri addons. His power is very basic and simple, like a flowchart. Hug a surv>M2>Release M2. I play a lot of Bubba and I really enjoy it, but I would be ecstatic if he got a rework that made his gameplay even just a bit more complex.
