Personally I wouldn't feel one way or another about this but I do have to say that Gollum isn't really built for a killer role. He bites Frodo or Sam (I forget) and that's about it. Sorry...

agreed, but judging by his evil looks and how deceiving he is, i think he is suitable for a killer role, though he only killed his brother. I considered gollum cause he got the evil spirit and he had always been in the dark side rather than the good side right?

I appreciate the custom Perk icons, but overall, this is just a very poorly thought out chapter. I won't spend much time on the backstory, but it's very generic and dull. A Killer becoming the way they are due to the loss of a loved one is a very tired trope. The short length doesn't help it either.

The Power is needlessly complicated and does WAY too much. It's essentially a mix of Twins, Clown, PH, and Spies From The Shadows. It encroaches on too many killers' niches and comes with too many mechanics to keep track of. I can only imagine how obnoxious some of these mechanics would be playing as this Killer, let alone playing against them.

Corpse Hunt is also needlessly complicated and seems to encourage tunneling the Obsession. Having a perk solely effect a single survivor is just bad design. It's either poorly worded or poorly thought out.

Death Guardian is essentially Corpse Hunt but effects every survivor in struggle phase. I appreciate the anti-camping mechanic, but this just seems like a rather mediocre perk. It would only take any meaningful effect with 1-2 survivors dead, since 3 survivors dead means the 4th is automatically dead on hook. I could see this maybe being useful in niche scenarios near late and endgame, but I could easily see it backfiring when survivors are Hook Bombing.

Lastly, Foul Play seems completely useless. It all relies on if survivors are willing to take protection hits, which is a huge gamble. Survivors are essentially in control of your perk. Unless you're playing against an altruistic SWF, you'll rarely, if ever, get any protection hits in early-mid. There's a reason Forced Penance is universally agreed as mediocre. Against a normal team, this would only take any real effect near endgame, in which most of the time, survivors aren't really using pallets or windows. This is a VERY niche perk that I don't see getting much value.

Thankyou for your comments! Yeah for my first idea it may be too similar and yeah i didnt think too much about how it will affects in future use. Thanks anyway, i'll keep improving it!

I was considering doing a Gollum concept before I saw this! But the feast and hop abilities are perfect! They would be original and fun to use. The only thing I'd want instead is a different ability for the one ring. Perhaps Sméagol carries the one ring and every time he performs a hop he drops the one ring on the ground. With the ring he is almost silent, effectively a stealth killer, without the one ring he has his terror radius but is faster. He has to go and interact to pick the ring back up or after a timer like the twins.

That's a nice idea! Never thought to use the ring for his active ability!

The killer is incredibly weak and m not that much adapted from the movie. Why not make it so what you look at it you're instantly mori'd (joking), but perks are cool though.

Well, they should be mori'd but hey, that's illegal XD

Whilst this is cool and I always love concepts of unexpected cross-overs (I was considering doing a LOTR one, but for Gollum) I just think that there's something innately wrong with the power. The passive is pretty good but I think the issue is that his active power feels more like a second power tied to the ctrl button because it is on a 60 second timer. All of the killers thus far (except for trapper) have a power that you can use whenever during the course of the match, making it their 'active ability power'. Having an ability that doesn't really help you chase, slow, down or trap survivors AND a 60 second cooldown would make Sauron feel like a literal M1 killer with no ability. Just my thoughts, an ability on a killer should never have a cooldown. Maybe make this his secondary ability (left CTRL) and make him have a simple attack ability perhaps like 'Eye's focus' where the nearest survivor experiences searing pain due to Sauron's gaze, screaming and being slowed for the next 10 seconds and getting a status effect etc.

Agreed. I thought that the cooldown might stop the Oblivious for a while (or else he will be similar to freddy). Btw gollum is good, never thought to do gollum :D

    Ok so...

With the power the obsession will be easier to hit and hitting them will show all other survivors on the map for 5 seconds. The exposed status effect will come in to play very rarely because of it's low duration. Also would be very scary with Nemesis.

With the perk hex immortality needs a token system so it can be countered or be powerful like hex devower hope. Would be scary with spirit fury and brutal strength.

Writhing in darkness, with the amount of new play stiles it would introduce, should not be a perk but an entire killer consept.

Lidless eye needs its numbers reduced to something around 3/4/5 and you could remove the cool down

I like this idea for a killer that uses a single survivor to find the rest.

If you want I can make some add-ons for it.

Go on, would love the add ons :)

    Bit of a nitpick here

While his description/bio is accurate enough from the lore, the only thing missing from it is any mentioning or hinting towards Sauron either disappearing or getting taken by The Entity since all killer biographies has mentionings of that with perhaps the exception to The Shape's bio.

Ah i see, guess that's my miss there. Thanks!

On what setting do you play? If it's on low the brightness will increase. On Ultra it is really dark and shady.

Ah i see. I'm on ultra. Thats why i guess. Thankyou so much sir

Playing in a darker environment might help, it would allow your eyes to take in more light.

    Nice XD

Nice work! If you don't mind, i have some critics:

Vampiric aura looks very strong if we consider that it may activate when standing next to blood pools. Combined with any emoragie status effect add-ons or perks, the killer (any killer because it is a perk) becomes considerably fast (up to 122% speed) and extremly dangerous on loops and chases with injured survivors. Maybe deactivate the perk when in a chase?

Calamity sounds interesting but also very strong, on any killer, because it gives a big map controll also with the 15 seconds aura that is an insanely long time. Calamity has also a cooldown, but doesnt specifiy if it activates when a survivor screams or when you are in the perk range of any survivor. In other words, an overpowered Whispers.

Count Dracula specify about "bites" the other survivors. How can it work with other killers? I think it needs a massive rework.

thanks for the critics, like them tho. for count dracula yes it is really hard to see it on other killer.

Best vampire killer idea I’ve seen on the site. 👍

The one thing I think that needs work is Count Dracula, I have trouble seeing that on other killers and reads more like an ability than a perk. Everything else reads well though.

you have a point there, i realize it is hard to see the perk on other killer xp

Not really. Survivors have masks like this

So he would be fine. I'd kill for a survivor that looked like him.

hmm yeah that would be fine then

No worries, it happens to all of us. Also, Welcome! Its always nice to see a new face. I think V would be a pretty good survivor, since he more fits the category of heros like Ash rather than villains like Freddy. Your powers are very unique though, though they might be a little too strong.

ah i see. but my worry is if V becomes a survivor with a unique face like that, doesn't it looks unlikely? I mean that mask really fits killer role (like legion's mask)

  • @SCP_FOR_DBD said:

I like the perk and power, but wasn't V an anti hero? Also, this should be in creations and not lore.

sorry, new to this forum so doesnt really know where to upload :/, yes V is an anti hero, haven't watched the movie for a while
