In other words what you just said
If the game is broken and have 99 milhoes of bugs just dont play and dont complain
And the bugs that i know that exist is the DS/ Hook/ hitbox/ dead hard/ consoles fps
Like some of this that i say isnt bugs but you understand that is fault of behavior
This plus a lot more

Nah. I personally like the anti-screaming part of it. That would be the main reason anyone would really use it and getting rid of it...eh. Nobody gives a crap about disturbing crows these days.
Like i said it would make more sense for it to also be a part of iron will

I understand that, and its a fair point, but every other perk in the game is the same way. Every time you run self care, or inner strength, there is a chance the killer will tunnel you off the hook every time you get unhooked so your perk never comes into play, leaving you wishing you brought more chase perks.
If you run DS and hit a killer that slugs for a fair portion after a survivor gets unhooked, than its worthless. Unless he grabs you and you hit that skill check, its a dead weight in your slot.
Same with Unbreakable for killers that don't slug. Same with Adrenaline if you don't live to see the gates powered.
EVERY PERK IN THE GAME has a situation where it won't come into play where another perk would've been more effective. Calm spirit just isn't meta so people don't run it. Its not about it being situational, because every meta perk is dependent on the situation you're put into by the killer.
I just find it funny people will run Adrenaline, DS, Unbreakable, Iron Will, and then complain when they go up against killers with infectious fright. They can have fun complaining about slug Oni, I'll have fun not having to worry about it.
Ive run it quite a few times to find its just far too situational to run everygame, and when it does work sure it works but I couldve been running another perk, then again the screaminf effect would be moved to iron will so you can run that instead (if the idea goes through) and you get no groans
-
@Cetren said:
Calm spirit is fine how it is. Also you want iron will to have zero pain noises zero screams and zero crows set off? Its already one of the best stealth perks in the game.
Iron will would only have no screams and no groans of pain. That is if they decide to use my idea ( i doubt it ). Also calm spirit is currently very underwhelming and definitely not worth a perk slot as not only do most killers not use crows to find survivors but the screaming aspect is so situational it would make very little impact on Iron will, moreso calm spirit.

Ehh, I think Calm Spirit serves it's purpose. There are several perks and addons that make you scream, and CS let's you ignore crows entirely, which can alert most killers even without SFTS.
Saboteur needs the buff/rework more. Saboing in general is too time consuming and often doesn't pay off.
Maybe I’ll think of a rework for saboteur. I think the no scream thing should go to Iron Will cause why would a crow perk have a no screaming effect? And just the crow effect by itself is very underwhelming to use a perk slot on.
-
Well its flawed rn but its meant to act as a queuing system too, thus survivors will be matched with killers of the same rank or “skill” so a 1000 hour killer doesnt destroy a team of 4 hour noobs.

@anarchy753 said:
That's pretty good. The issue with Calm Spirit is it has no tangible effects against killers who don't make you scream. It's so difficult to use crows to track already so it's barely an effect.
I agree, I really enjoy seeing perks like kindred and nolb changed and reworked to be more useful, although I play more survivor than killer but killer perk changes are really fun too. I just love the perks in this game.

Well it could but IW is kinda really strong and doesn't need aditional effects. I wouldn't mind since I run them together anyway.
To me its just a bit too underwhelming. It does need some love but then again youre not entirely wrong.

Yeah I know but the bigger benefit of it is the killer aura
maybe if it had a shorter cool down for survivors it would be much better for revealing survivors but the most powerful part about it is the killer’s aura imo
Thats a good idea

@Kebek said:
That sounds really nice but I hope it keeps it's anti scream part. I like to use CS sometimes mainly because of the lack of screaming.
Like I mentioned I think that effect should go to iron will cause it just makes more sense ya feel?

@liarcy said:
That sounds really good and it has a long cool down so it wont be revealing the killer24/7
great idea
Idk if this changes your opinion but it also reveals survivors too, so it may proc more often.

should be the crow thats revealed
That would be interesting

Let's say the perk showed bird auras similar to spies from the shadow killer perk. I would recommend half of the radius and double the cool down of the killer's spies perk. Making it 1/4th as powerful which could work in asymmetrical power ratio between killer and survivor
Thats a bit too much. Id say if your gonna double the cooldown, keep revealibg the killer aura.

You have to take account frequency and likelyhood. Kicking a gen or a pallet is not as likely as making bird fly, which occur as the killer walls around. The other happens when the killer stops from chasing or searching to do an action. That's alert is not a powerful perk.
thats fair. Judging by all of your responses, the best course of action would be to nerf the cooldown.

@8obot1c said:
It should actually show the crow aura so you know he is near there, but not there
Thats not a bad idea tbh, lol.

It's never going to happen. Aura reading is probably the strongest power in game and you are asking for a quick recycle, unavoidable version for survivors without the dangers of OoO. There is zero counterplay for your suggestion as killers can not crouch around crows, always run, and frankly haven't the time to spare to even if they could crouch and avoid them.
Alert applies only on a break action and close range. Be serious.
You actually asked for a perk that essentially gave you complete aura tracking 33% of your time in game with zero drawbacks.
Again, numbers can be tweaked, and if i remember correctly stealth killers no longer have thier auras revealed. Id say just increase the cooldown.

@Nazeef13 said:
This would be an interesting new perk idea, I wouldn't adjust calm spirit.
However:
It would be like a budget object of obsession, without the cost of object of obsession (killer can see you too when you look at them). It would need to have a budget cost, maybe your personal crows give sound notification like spies from the shadows to the killer.
Edit: actually, seeing the killers aura within a close range like that would have benefits greater than object of obsession. You would be able to see the killer before you are even in their terror radius, and can hide away. It needs to work outside if terror radius like OoO because in terror radius auras is way too much information
Following that logic alert is more powerful than ooo because not only is there no cooldown but also infinite range. Maybe the cooldown could use some tinkering but to say its more powerful than ooo is a bit presumptuous.

Lol. A killer aura hack every 10 seconds when the killers version gives no aura? Not to mention a killer can't crouch or walk around the crows and is forced to run around do to time constraints!
Hell no!
Well, maybe the cooldown should be increased but like i said in response to another comment maybe buff spies from the shadows in accordance.

Sounds more like an "Animal Friends" perk now than "Calm Spirit."
Which works for me.
Frankly though I rather it keep its "Anti-Scream" design so it continues to work on all the scream effects:
- Doctor's Electric Screams
- Clown's Fart Gas
- Infectious Fright
- Iron Maiden
Etc.
Basically everything that makes you scream. Your rework to be honest is a nerf in my opinion.
I was thinking that they could move that effect to iron will, since that just makes more sense than the crow perk. Also it was never a useful effect unless you were against the doctor or infectious fright. So i wouldnt even consider that a nerf if it never really did anything.

It'll be pretty whack to go against on Lery's because crows are friggin' everywhere
hmm thats fair i guess, then again its only one map and one perk, plus its countered by stealth killers now if i remember correctly.
-
@Lambda said:
Eh, sounds interesting but it seems niche and generally not very useful and it doesn't really fit with the idea of the perk.
Though honestly if it were buffed like this then it would be absolute aids to go against in Lery's
I think if anything it fits the idea of the perk very well but thats an opinion on both sides. I dont see how it would be bad to go against on lery’s as it not only has a cooldown but also its just one map, its effect isnt really that strong for it to be bad to go against.

Also perhaps have the dull totems aura visible to killers as well, with hex totems being a different color?
