i’m not happy either i hate the hud and the hit boxes are still weird but the animations are being looped in despite them being fine but boycotting a game over hit boxes seems dramatic

Its not just hitboxes, its the attitude BHVR has towards genuine community concerns. Some only hate hitboxes, where as I personally hate that there are several glitches I know of and constantly screw me over in certain maps. The basement and underground section of Temple of Purgation juts out of the ground and acts like a mini-wall/hill and disrupts my running - often resulting in me going down unless I run around the invisible wall. This happens on some Macmillan maps too around killer shack and its beyond annoying. Sound glitches from dead survivors impair my hearing against stealth killers and so on. Some rocks I can run over and stand on in some wraith maps too.

These havent been fixed in weeks.

I also cant stand the blatant disrespect the lead dev showed towards the colorblind/disabled. NO game dev should exclude the disabled and show such resentment towards making a change to include them. Theyre adamant on including LGBT, why not disabled? Its not hard to implement, nearly every game has the feature, it wouldnt affect balance, why was he so hateful about it?

I wish they would also listen to the community about the bloodpoint grind, but they insist on ignoring it with 90+ perks available. Why on earth does Leader need 3 levels? Or Hope? Or PWYF? Why do we need 3 levels of "1% 2% 3%"? Its ridiculous!

Hackers are everywhere and have given out information regarding why the game is so easy to hack, but the currency system is not. Not just for real money, but bloodpoints and shards. BHVR is very adamant on protecting their in-game currency because its easier to buy a cosmetic than it is to earn (or hack) it. But the rest of the game? Forcing killers to DC via freezing their screens? Nah, they wont bother. Not until the next patch or two.

If they really did it for the quick cash, they would have just made the next Char LGBT. But they didn’t.

also while they didn’t confirm the sexuality, they mentioned several heterosexual relationships of some chars, and with the statement during pride month they actually just said they will handle LGBT+ topics just like they already did those mentioned relationships. No one said there would be a character which sole focus would be LGBT and no one asks for just that.

I dont know then. Its hard to tell what BHVR wants to do.

Then again, it can take several months up to over a year to develop an entire chapter. They may still have it in the works and two chapters just hasnt been enough time to push it out. Dont gaming companies usually plan things a year in advance or something? Maybe give it a little time and we could see it in a later chapter. This is always such a touchy subject, its so easy to offend someone so I dont think Ill post any further on it.

Hope a future chapter works out in favor of their promise though.

  • Thats all that it is. Bait. For some reason, a huge portion of the DBD community is part of LGBT, BHVR knows this. Theyll say anything for those extra dollars judging by their current actions.

Just a tidbit Id like to throw in, Id rather we dont have characters with backgrounds specifying their sexuality or whatever gender they may have been previously. Not because of a phobia, relax. I just like the openness of all the characters for the public to play with. Personally, I love the idea of Doctor x Feng Min. But if for some reason Feng Min was suddenly a lesbian, Id be pretty disappointed. Imagine people who like to ship David with Dwight, or Nurse with Huntress (or Wraith). This applies to any future character they place in the game.

BHVR might actually be making a better choice to avoid making LGBT focused characters for the good of the ENTIRE community equally. But I agree, if they dont really have plans for it, they shouldnt advertise it.

  • I hoard everything on my Feng, have old offerings and I never use any of it. Whenever I go to look through all my treasure(stacks of over 100), I often think to myself;

    Look at this stuff,

    Isn't it neat?

Wouldn't you think my collections complete?

    Look at this trove,

    Treasures untold,

How many wonders can one bloodweb hold?

  • I'd at least give it a chance. No harm in that.

Unless your'e going to give yourself up as a kill, I would prefer you to just get out.

Also just to be clear I have never seen a survivor give themself up.

I will often give myself up as an offering to a farmer or a killer who has struggled so much that they just give up (due to poor match making which isn't their fault). I don't mind dying, the animation for EGC is pretty cool to watch👌

  • I always have my name set to "Doctor's Girlfriend" because I obviously love Doc and I like to face him. A little roleplay doesn't hurt in the match to break the sweat fest and just have some fun.

I had one doctor down me when he could, but he would just nod at me and leave. I knew he was playing along and the other survivors caught on. At the end where I was the only survivor, my teammates were suprisingly amused and we all played along with the survivor x Doctor joke. Cringy I know, but I was happy to see that people in the community have a sense of humor and don't resort to salt every match y'know? It's a game, we should all have fun🥰

I feel like it's going to be a licensed chapter. I think I remember them saying in a stream they try to shoot for 2 original chapters and 2 licensed chapters in a year, and we've had 2 original chapters and 1 licensed chapter this year. Who this licensed killer might be, I have no clue, but I like to think it might be another one from a video game.

Low key, Id love a Slenderman chapter. Im sure they could make it work and make him terrifying.

  • Well, valid points. I do understand that BHVR is a smaller company and needs to break even with their license content. I'm proud of the devs for making it that far and I appreciate them making an effort to go back and revamp old maps and killers and perks.

I like some of the bugs, I gotta admit. Theyre pretty funny, like when there was a hole in the killer shack and Id run through, and the killer and I would just stare at it for a moment.

But I do agree, even the funny bugs are still embarrassing to have in a game meant to submerge you in fear and immersion. I also find myself really frustrated when I get caught on odd large edges, hit by whales thrown by Huntress, or Dead Hard only to still be hit mid-dash yet I have the exhaustion.

I would be totally forgiving and understanding and supportive if they took a few months to just take a step back and work on the game's health. I would be okay with going without a new chapter or a new map, or a new rift. I just wanna see the game's health go up because its extremely important.

I guess I've just grown indifferent. I dont complain much, I just play less and go about my business. If I get frustrated, I just go elsewhere because I sometimes feel like my voice would be too small to be noticed.

  • I low key hope they're doing a secret surprise update for his music. The chase music is very...weird and not really threatening. Just CHINGCHINGHINGCHINGCHING. His terror radius music though👌😩 on point.

As a killer man I am extremely disappointed to be associated with people like you, whiny babies who do nothing but complain. The fact that the survivors had "op perks" doesn't matter. As you can make the same argument with a lot of perks for killers. I could go on the tangent and list off a bunch of perks but I'm not going to, I have over 2000 hours on killer alone. and I can tell you that those perks are not overpowered, a LITTLE annoying yes. Overpowered? no.

BT and DS for survivors being "OP", but I'll tell you just how devastating NOED and Blood Warden are. Or Tinkerer and Discordance making gen progression practically impossible. I play a ton of survivor and those perk combinations can utterly destroy survivors. It's a two way street. Tinkerer on Billy gives me ptsd..

  • Having faced teams like this, I'd actually be impressed that the team was coordinated, dedicated and skilled enough to get 3/4s of their team out of the basement against ONI of all killers. It was unfun for you, but imagine how unfun it was for the survivors being tossed in the basement with hardly a chance to play the game against a killer with an insta-down until their lone standing teammate saved them. That's what their perks are for, to SURVIVE. BT and DS already got their nerfs, killers are receiving buffs, leave them be. If you feel like you need to uninstall after winning and double pipping all because survivors actually put up a fight and challenged you, then this game is not for you and you will not be missed. The only thing I agree on is if this is done to an inexperienced killer and said killer is bullied. But you are neither unskilled nor were you bullied, you have no excuse.

and you are big brain for sharing hacking videos on a public forum,if anything you either send a ticket with the video bhvr or not at all

Im not all that savvy at forums, I wasnt aware I could DM devs. I dont use the forums all that much, I literally have less than 25 posts and most of those are comments, I just wanted the devs to see whats been happening in hopes they would fix it. Dont need to insult my intelligence dude..

  • @DelsKibara said:

Holy crud, BHVR you need to take these videos down!

I'm pretty sure you could do that because it infringes on your EULA.

I would sure hope they do before it gets worse.

  • I don't even attempt to play killer anymore. No amount of easy daily rituals will make me want to play it otherwise. I play so little as killer than it remains at rank 20 but I face red rank survivors who BM the everliving hell out of me. They don't even know I'm a fellow survivor just trying to unlock some lore. The ranks are so garbage, I can't stand playing killer anymore, I can't imagine anyone who enjoys it. I don't want any new killers or survivors, I just want the game to work😤

  • You empathise with the killer and then promptly tbag at the gate as a toxic Nea when the killer was actually not toxic? And you want people to listen to you.

You don't understand what I'm trying to say, what other Killer has that kind of skillset?

    I don't think It's important but I'm rank 8 and I'm been playing for a week.

A different skillset is good, it's supposed to give variety to the roster. Doctor is unique, very unique in fact that no other killer can do what he does. Some killers are best at instadowns while others are dependent on stealth. Doctor breaks the routine and forces players to change up their game. You are forced to play a little more aggressively and intelligently, which is brilliant in my opinion. Adapt to the killer to survive, the killer should not adapt to survivor needs period. So I must disagree with you, as a rank 7 survivor main.

  • @Demogordon_Ramsay said:

Oni, 100%. Most people don't know how to play him to his full potential, and even if they do he has some limitations to his Demon Strike that make him a bit weaker than he should, but for me it isn't about how strong he is when he chases me. For me it's about:

    A) That god-tier chase music that is hands down the best one in the game please don't @me

    B) The visual appearance. If you were running for your life against a Killer, which one would make you the most afraid: A pink-haired high-schooler in a Christmas sweater and a skirt, a skimpy r34 anime ghost girl, a redneck with a chainsaw, a fat man with a chainsaw, Onision with a fedora, the Joker after he let himself go, or an ogre in samurai armor spewing ruby-red fires of Hell out of every orifice of his body?

"Onision with a fedora" 😂😂😂 you ain't wrong!

  • Let me explain...

Herman Carter IS a doctor. He studied the brain in particular, and studying the brain is a form of medical practice. A psychiatrist helps to ease trauma and mental disorders, or simply provide therapy through words, advice etc. It is entirely different than what Herman was practicing.

The Doctor studied the physical human brain in hopes to cure diseases specifically related to the brain. In his lore, he opened his boss's skull and put actual electrodes in the brain to try and achieve mind control through physical force. His cosmetics also provide clues as to what tools he used. Electric chairs, injections, and (his newest cosmetic) adrenaline drips. It is also hinted that he had opened someone up via surgery and even performed some of his own experiments on himself. Electroshock therapy was an actual form of medical care back in the day that real doctors used, and Herman Carter did just that in his timeline.

Regarding his sleeves, notice the electrical wiring embedded into his arms. These wires are more like cords with smaller wires inside - meaning they are designed to handle extreme amounts of electricity. When there is an intense electrical current riding through fabric, the fabric will catch fire (so will flesh). Look closely at where his sleeves end. They are not torn off, theyre burned. His hands are fried and calloused and his skull is raw with burns. Some of his other cosmetics include burn trauma bandages with burned scabbed flesh.

Not everyone is familiar with the type of doctor Herman is, the practices are dead these days and are seen more as a form of torture than anything else - making for an awesome killer concept that is the Doctor. Hes my absolute favorite, so I kinda soak up any and all lore/info on the guy.

  • I want a Doctor and Feng Min Tome, I want to see what Doc did to his last patient.

  • I don't think they're ignoring anything. Too many people complain about too many things every day. Expecting a response and a change for every complaint is a very immature way to think. Nobody here is entitled to a change or a rework, BHVR has enough on their plate and are fixing things slowly but surely. Fixing a bug or doing a rework is far more complex than fixing say, the percentages of a perk. Imagine giant trumpets in each ear playing a different tune with a crowd of thousands of people screaming at you to say which one sucks worse. Assuming the devs are ignoring you and insulting them will get nobody anywhere soon. But this is coming from someone who doesn't take the game seriously, I just play to have fun. Been facecamped, tunneled, slugged and played against pre-nerf Legion, and I just go with it as a good sport.

  • I agree on this. I love to play killer outside of my survivor games because I love my Doc...but the sheer toxicity of the end game and chat turns me away from playing the game as a whole. On one hand, Im shamed for getting a 4k (or trying to since killers are supposed to), and then on the other Im ashamed to BE a survivor. Ive defended the killer countless times from my teammates at the end game chat that it makes me sick to see that its almost every game!

From what Ive seen on both sides, killers are abused far more often. Im not saying survivors dont have their fair share of abuse inflicted on them, but without killers...

    You dont have a game!

Be a good sport for gods sake, its not hard to accept defeat and move on to be better next game.
