  • This is sass! I love it!

  • I like the rework, same for most of them (including Kate), just because you can see real detail and texture in the new faces. Comparing pre-rework faces to new survivors like Felix or Elodie was kind of painful, IMO. I think it was very much needed, although I understand why people get upset. You get used to that face for your favorite character, and losing it sucks.

  • Definitely not just you, I get super stressed playing Killer, but it helps me be friendlier to killers as a survivor, especially in post game. I try to throw a GG out if they’re pc players no matter what, I guess because I’d like to get similar treatment myself.

  • Kate since like, day 1 for me. I bought Curtain Call when I barely knew this game, just for her.

I started playing Trickster lately, he’s fun at low ranks, but I mainly play survivor, so he’s just for fun and BP

  • This is amazing! Super in depth, and all of the perks actually sound fun!

I feel like bull rush could be broken, but it actually sounds like a decent counter, and a good way to force killers to break pallets. Maybe a short cooldown after dropping or jumping one, so they cant stun then stun?

I really love this whole concept though!

  • This was beautiful. As a survivor main, I actually felt your joy in this story

  • I usually only participate in the tomes if there's something for me to earn for Kate, and if I remember. This was the first tome I actually really tried at, albeit like, 3 weeks before it closed. Still, I enjoyed it, but I agree with Bwsted, the challenges can be super annoying to do solo queue. They sometimes steer you into playing really poorly, or in a counter-intuitive manner for the match, etc. I have had them push me to try new stuff though, so it's not all bad.

tl:dr - I am looking forward to this new one, although I have no idea what's in it. I like the bonus BP and at least some of the challenges keep it fresh.

  • I actually really like these ideas, they seem like it'd be hard to exploit them on either side. You'd have to cut off the survivor BP gain at when they actually died, encouraging them to struggle at least, just I think for how the game works.

I really like the killer one, it'd help encourage more civil gameplay, or even help farming if that's your thing. Great ideas, and your english is really good!

Half the problem is current rank reset, if you want to play casual you slowly get up into sweat ranks and can never get back down unless you can let awful matches slide and manually depip. Instead you get stuck in red ranks where other players almost force you to sweat and try hard. If reset threw everyone back down 10 ranks like when I started you could play more casually and remain in the casual/chill ranks and let the try hards fight their way back up to red

I’d like this, actually. The only reason ranks matter at all in this game is for matchmaking and I guess achievements? Either ditch it or make it less conventional ladder-style in my opinion.

  • I feel the same way. This game actually requires you to define your own enjoyment from it. Is it playing friendly killer, sweating for the 4K, SWF or being immersive? Doesn’t matter to anyone but you, but like you said, it’s inherently asymmetrical, you aren’t meant to escape or kill everyone all the time.

Beyond the game objectives, you’re just dealing with people on the internet, so I just apply my mindset towards trolling an bs that I have in every online game. Move on and let it go, people can suck, but I’m done letting that ruin my whole day, personally.

  • I haven't been enjoying cross play as a survivor very much at all. Significantly longer queue times and when I do get into a match there's guaranteed to be at least one person that plays like a brand new player. I'm not amazing or anything, but I at least get gens done and go for safe rescues. It's making it super frustrating to do the archive, but on the plus side I'm really enjoying playing a killer again. Easies 4k's I've ever gotten!

It's hard to play DBD casually, especially considering how toxic the DBD community can be at times. But I always find myself returning to it because there's nothing else quite like it. There's so many reasons to hate it *cough* MATCHMAKING *cough*, but when the game fires on all cylinders it can be a blast to play.

    What keeps you playing?

Murder-waifu simulator and the mind game aspect

  • I really enjoy getting mori'd.

Dying as survivor shouldn't be unexpected and it's no reason to rage out. People get way too intense and competitive in this game for no reason.

Pipping is pointless since your rank doesn't even seem to affect who you play anymore (MMR or not).

Toxicity isn't inherent to this game and real toxicity is rarer than the forums make you believe.

All this doesn't mean you shouldn't still try your best, people who suicide on the first hook are just bad, not tactical or protesting.

Completely agree with you, except with the last point, Kate is the best looking female survivor..

Exactly what I was going to say, otherwise total agreement!
