2 kills = a killer win. The devs themselves have said this themselves.
-
They'll never give time penalties because people will just go and play another game. Why stick around if you're punished for playing.
There will always be toxic survivors and killers cause this playerbase is toxic. Just look at how much harassment people get for asking questions.
-
Doc with a The Game offering. Nope I'm quiting. What's the point wasting 15 minutes when you know the outcome from the start.
-
I'm pretty relaxed. I'm too altruistic for my own good when playing survivor so usually end up dead on hook once the exit gates are open cause I foolishly went to unhook someone and then the whole team run to a gate teabag for a minute or two then leave so I die.
As killer I usually give last survivor the hatch. I'll down them then carry them to find the hatch so they know I'm letting them have it rather than them just find it an teabag for ages before finally leaving. Usually they're thankful I let them live rather than toxic. That's usually cause I have weeded out the toxic survivor before then even if it does mean I tunnel them to death. I never camp though. I use Devour Hope so there's no need to camp it's counter productive.
-
Same reason a rabbit sits still when a fox spots it.
They're thinking 'has he seen me?'
-
Yes. At ranks 20-15 other survivors are utterly incompetent.
It's half the reason I use bond at all ranks.
It's hilarious how bad people/lazy/scummy some survivors are.
-
The mori change was simple.
How do you nerf keys without making them utterly useless. You already have to have more completed gens than living survivors just to make the hatch visible and then you have to find said hatch which often takes longer than doing the gens or opening a gate.
Also this is coming from someone who never uses keys or moris.
Besides, devour hope is way better than a Mori any day.
-
I've never used a Mori. I just use Devour Hope
-
No. If you make a new objective it means you have to somehow split 4 perk slots to cover two totally different objectives.
Seriously some people need to get a grip and stop complaining about everything.
-
I disagree. Cause it means the killer just has to walk between the doors and survivor will never be able to actually open the gate especially since it takes 20 seconds and if they get off it resets to 0%.
It's better to have the time regress rather than reset completely.
Otherwise you'll have killers like nurse and hillbilly (and other who can move quickly) effectively hijack the game because nobody can open a gate as they run between them which is something hillbilly does easily especially is the exit gates spawn on the same side of a map.
So best option is a 5% regress per second (same rate of opening) which is fair for both sides imo because the end game is broken in that it rarely finishes.
That or make the end game crisis 60 seconds instead of 120 seconds forcing survivors to abandon the guy in the hook.
-
The only issue I have with camping is if it's a cannibal cause he can down multiple people in one hit and since most people are solo they can't warn other survivors not to rescue them etc.
Meaning the survivor either has to act as bate for other survivors or has to suicide which demoralises other survivors and frees up the killer to chase someone else.
Outside of cannibal camping I don't have a problem with it.
Also just saying cause someone will bring it up no I don't use DS and never have.
As killer though I never camp unless of course I can see a survivor right next to the hook I'm using. Otherwise since I use Devour Hope on every killer I am incentivised to leave a hook almost immediately to get tokens.
Honestly best way to stop camping is to have another perk similar to DV go encourage killers away from the hook rather than punish them for guarding a hook.

The bad only shines through if you force yourself to be critical and hyper-foces only on the negitives while closing your eyes at any good thing... Why do you people do that? And so many other games too! If you want to have fun, just have it.
Pessimists and optimists

Lightborn is the best perk
-
I play michael with mirrors or gravestones. Yes I've noticed chases take a bit longer. Is it significant. Not really. The survivors usually end up dead.
As surivior I'm terrible at looping so I usually just run away in a straight line and use bond to avoid my teammates so they can keep doing gens etc. I have noticed that I can run away for alot longer especially end game when hope is active. Then again hope always seems to catch killers of guard
-
The rift gives you your money back so if I unlock up to level 67 (I think) you get 1000 back so then is buy the pass. I don't buy it before until I get high enough to recoup my losses.
-
Serious question why is everyone calling killers by their human names?
-
I had a 3 man swf try and body block me (solo) all match.
After the first few hits killer realised what was going on and basically ignored me and went after them the whole game.
-
I wouldn't blame the controller. Mouse is good for looking around but controller is better for movement.
-
Probably 8/10 for both.
The main reason I die as survivor is because I'm too altruistic and die saving some during the end game and I don't really care if I escape or not.
And killer I usually get 3/4 kills cause I give the last survivor hatch.
-
I do but not all the time. Depends how many survivors or gens are left.
-
I'd much prefer it if the breakable doors/walls were totally random. So any doorway has a chance of having one cause yeah some areas are too unbalanced for one side or the other.
Though killers can't really complain since they're the only ones who can do something about an unbalanced door survivors just have to put up with it and like OP said the killer can choose not to open a door if it will help survivors.
Then again I can't talk since I mostly play an angry ghost lady who can float through walls.
-
Oh that's a point killer perk would have to be
Devour Hope
Cause I love being able to murder that one toxic tea bagging invisidette.
-
Bond. (Especially with Open Handed)
Because you can see who is doing stuff and who isn't. Which gens are being worked on. Where not to go if you're being chased. If anyone else is trying to save someone. You can also tell if someone else is being chased.
Note: I have never played SWF so don't use a mic to talk with the team.
And a close second is Detectives Hunch because it reveals the location of pesky hidden totems which is especially useful on maps like The Game. Also you can find that one gen nobody can locate and can stop your team accidentally have the last three gens all next to each other.
-
Cause she's a boss duh
-
Just a side note if your looking at survivors the survivor can just run around in a circle and get chase points even if the killer isn't moving or is afk. So some survivors do this to farm points/pips
-
That's why when I'm killer and there's 2 people left I'll start slugging and then kill then hook the toxic survivor and give the other (usually the one I slugged) the hatch.

It does suck to get tunneled. I do not tunnel (no matter what stupid people sending me Xbox Live messages may believe) because as a survivor, I know how much it sucks to get truly tunneled out of a game.
Report the message and in the report notes say 'I came to this game with love in my heart but all I get is hate'
More often than not xbox responds saying they've taken action on a report.
I don't know what action is taken but hopefully something horrible happens to the stupid person. Like idk a really long load screen or something nasty like that haha.

Exploiting known bugs is a bannable offense in every online game.
The only place this is accepted is on any% speedruns.
-
You know survivors still have to level all survivors up to level 40 to unlock all their perks right? It's identicle for survivors and killers.
And that bloodpoints earned on killers can be spent on survivors? And in reverse.
You did know that right?

Was dc's counted? Who knows? Was the time frame given? This will be every nerf "Insert something killer related here" that has no merit post. Needed nerfs should still happen but this will be the fall guy.
You say that but what I interpreted as that killers just complain all the time because obviously if 9/10 survivors are dying then the survivors aren't OP and the people complaining are just bad.
Remember killing 2/4 survivors is a killer win. So having only a 11.79% survival rate is extremely low. Just consider that the casualty rate of WW1 was only 12.3%. You have more chance of surviving a war than surviving dbd.
-
LMAO I see swf die more often than solo queue. Solos have no reason to stay once the exit is powered and I've seen them leave right away. Swf stick around and either all die or all escape.
What surprised me most is that 9/10 survivors die but killer still complain about a survivor bias. It's pretty laughable actually and obviously proves the killers who complain are just bad at the game.
-
I'm so bored of all these people calling for balance or nerf this killer buff that killer.
Like any game with classes some classes are more viable than others in certain situations and on different kill levels.
The only way you'll get 'balance' is if every killer is identicle and a copy paste of the next. That is boring.
You either get good as a killer or find a killer you're good at. Don't expect the world to revolve around you and your wishes.
Everyone one knows nurse and spirit are strong killers but that doesn't mean every killer should behave like nurse or spirit.
Theres an English Proverb: 'Variety is the spice of life' and that goes for dbd killers too.
-
I like to think I'm a nice killer. I kill everyone then let the 4th guy get hatch (usually carrying them to it) but if they're remotely toxic at the end I'll close the hatch and mori them. And I play console so they cant really ######### at me.
-
Because the entity feeds on hope. Both the killers and the survivors. Killers hope they get to kill everyone and survivors hope they escape. If all survivors die first hook that's not very nice for the entity so it wont be happy.
Just remember though it's not fun for survivors when another survivor suicides on first hook.
-
Pretty certain it's called a mori
-
If there's a bug. Someone is hacking or the game is unplayable laggy.
-
Imagine the killer backlash if a survivor said they wanted to use DS, Invisidette and purple lights.
Just use whatever you wanna use. Am perks and tactics are valid. Now stop making pointless threads about nonsense for attention.
-
Well nobody forces you to do the rift. I only did the huntress rift because I liked the soldier uniform. And I don't even play huntress. I only do rift challenges for the bloodpoints and even then only the survivor ones because I can never find matches as killer. They take 10+ minutes to find anyway.
-
Nurse ... Deathslinger ... someone has never played console. They're bad.

I meant from the very beginning it would be hypocritical that Undying/Ruin get a nerf while DS/UB would still be unchanged for 2-3 years.
Just an FYI both Unbreakable and Decisive Strike have changed multiple times. Unbreakable 2 times and Decisive 4 times.
-
Detectives hunch = best perk

Or buff every killer to freddy level so the survivors have to actually sweat their ass off for a win like killers do most of the time?
Where is the downvote button?
I mean a killer win is 2 kills. If your not getting two kills something is seriously wrong with how you play. Just take Devour Hope like I do.

Imagine if a survivor that has DS protection and if they rush to a gen or even something of the effect. It negated by reversing another Gen's progress. Or made a working Gen all a sudden burst to 75% at half the rate of progress to get it working again which has to make a survivor have to REfix it all again. This penalizes DS GenRushing 🤔
An idea that'll never happen but worth a thought 🥴
Just have it so fully healing or beginning work on a gen deactivates DS.

Playing with friends is not the problem it's just the way it is implemented.
The game would work way better if it was like Friday the 13th in that everyone joins a single lobby and then someone is randomly picked to be the killer. I play on KYF all the time and we all have a great time. Granted though we do ban mori and new parts but asside from that playing with friends is fun.
The main problem with SWF is the people who use it are toxic af. They don't use it to have fun playing the game they use it to have fun bullying the killer and I'm probably repeating what alot of people have already heard/said but Youtubers are the main culprits who encourage this.
I'm pretty certain the only Youtuber who doesn't promote toxic behaviour is Tru3Talent and im gonna get alot of flak for just mentioning him.
