Apex Legends will allow Console Players to play with a PC lobby IF and ONLY IF they are in a group that consists of a PC Player. Basically the console player is acknowledging that they are willing to play against those with better hardware and aim control, because they wanted to play with a friend who is on PC.
OTHER THEN THIS SCENARIO, the consoles and PC player base is kept separate. Apex Legends takes “fairness” much more seriously.
BHVR has never showed any real interest in a balanced of fair game. I’d be more shocked if they properly implemented cross play but kept console and PC separate, or added the feature in now.
Personally, I rather only fight console, but I’m already at peace with the current cross-play. At least que times are faster.
I was talking about it with the friends who play on the xbox, Apex, Destiny 2 in season 15 will introduce cross play and will not cross consoles with PC in PVP unless someone on PC invites a console friend to join PC Crucible pools, that's crossplay done right

Think clearly cross play is great as long as it is between PS4 and XBOX and Switch those platforms use joysticks.
It is easy to just go and play on PC but I have friends who play on xbox and we agree that it is not fair, if they deactivate crossplay, you can only play with those who have it deactivated, they have spent more than 15 minutes trying to find a game without success

I play both sides and any one who play the game both sides at purple and red ranks knows this is a survivor side game. And it's a fact not an opinion.
Most who complain otherwise on social media are bad players who have never played as a killer in the upper-middle ranks, who understand the game in a very basic way and do not want to improve just complain. And that has led to spoiled players and that leads to a complaining community.
They want to single carry a 4v1 without being punished for mistakes.

The problem with balance its that killers with out Top Perks are no that good for example Freddy its good with Top Perks with out that i think its fine
