  • The game isn't survivor sided; hope this helps. The longer answer is, Jason came out and everyone wants to play him, another reason is that people who are good in general on killer win most of their games, even killers like Sadako have high kill rates simply because no one knows what to do, and good players are less common, you will just straight up win most of your games if you play to win in pubs. In theory the survivors have WAY more reasons to win but they just don't, hence why BHVR keeps adding thing slike pallet density changes, all these anti tunnels and base kit buffs for survivor and it still almost doesn't matter becasue most players are just, not that good.

  • Have you seen any of the other killer streaks? You could get a win streak of 150 with trapper in pubs if you were good, it really isnt that insane.

  • Honestly no, most of the time in my experience, the end game chat has only been used to say the most nonsensical things, win or lose someone always throws out the "#########" insult, or some other insane childish BS, it doesn't bother me personally, but it's so wild the lengths people in this game go to try to hurt someone's feelings, the amount of sheer toxicity is just uncontrolled and poorly punished.

  • He is bad in the sense that people are mostly bad with him, its similar to Nurse or Pyramid head, if you spam and miss a lot yeah, he sucks, but if you learn to play boring, aka bait power, zone, not spam power 24/7 and be very patient then he is really strong, its kind of like hillbilly syndrome where no one thinks he is S tier because no one outside of the top 2% of billy mains is that good. In the right hands though, very strong.

  • There is very little in this game that actually bothers me, most of the I get irritated by something it is my own damn fault lol, don't blame others for how they play, play in a way you enjoy and what makes you happy, bottom line, get let pixels on a screen upset you because some person 2000 miles away did something in a game, there are things that can be considered BM, floor humping, hitting on hook, tbagging, clicking etc whatever, it's how you interpret it. Personally, doesn't bother me

  • It's because players were quitting or dodging lobbies because they felt intimidated by seeing a p100, even though prestige has nothing to do with skill, there is no reason to show the prestige in lobbies, if you're going to get a 'bully' squad, or if someone is going to get tunneled, chances are it is probably going to happen anyway. Players shouldn't be discouraged to play the game and they see p100s and think "damn these players are good", it's just a number, and all it did was cause more issues than not.

  • And that is the way it is meant to be, survivors aren't supposed to just wiggle off for free, and having to bleed out a survivor for 4 minutes is unhealthy for the game, it does nothing other then waste that survivors time and the killers.

  • And what if the killer can't make another hook, a survivor dead on hook runs to the corner and dies and the killer has 1 hook nearby, now that hook is gone forever, that isn't the killer's fault, it's not like they are intentionally hook dead zoning themselves, dying corner of a map is a good strategy, but it shouldn't mean the killer now has to bleed that survivor out, that's boring for both sides, unless you enjoy sitting in a corner afk for 4 minutes. Also, wiggle outs are not meant to be free, a survivor should only wiggle out if the killer really messes up, or therte is some sort of intervention from the other survivors. Sabo, body blocking etc.

  • Most players in general are in 2v9, it takes twice as many players just to start 1 game and that is where the incentive is right now.

  • It's trapper, how else do you want him to play and also have any chance at winning, he still has to gather his traps on a giant map, holding down gens is the only real strength he has.

  • I am so glad you are not on the dev team for this game.

Unless Devs fill the matches with some bots to deflate the hour long queue times or bring down the 2v8 to 2v6 this mode is by far the most unsuccessful mode they made.

The mode isn't even finished yet and a lot of people enjoy it, it's in its first iteration, it is a party mode, it is something they are trying because so many people have asked for it the past years, if you don't like the mode don't play it, it is very much a work in progress. It is basically 2v8 alpha. Plus, BHVR already said the mode isn't going to be permanent anyway, like months ago, it is going to be a reoccurring game mode.

  • @Barley said:

Everyone is constantly arguing about 2v8. Which I find annoying. This mode is intended to be fun. Not constantly argued about. I'm quite excited about if it re-releases with all the killers, so I can play Freddy in this silly fun not intended to be too serious mode.

Some people will just complain about everything, doesn't matter what it is, try to ignore them.

  • @kosaba11 said:

Speaking as someone who plays both sides extensively, being able to instantly down a survivor is not fair. Some one hit downs, like Oni, Michael, and Ghostface, can be sort've excused, since it has to build up, but even then - there's very little to no counter play.

And I get it, the defensive will be "GeT gOoD", but when a killer, like, say, Bubba, can instantly down you with no build up, where not even a palette can help you, there's a big problem. Looping only delays the inevitable.

Outside of Oni, all of these killers you named are bottom half of the roster in terms of strength, no counter play is different than not knowing the counter play lol

  • Speaking of things that were not thought out, this entire post doesn't make a lick of sense, I hope you understand that you don't even offer any resolutions or make any effort to even try and make a valid argument, just complain, complain, complain with no foundation to stand on.

  • @Krazzik said:

Personally I… really don't like them. I know some of the dislike is simply having to get used to the changes but I really don't see why they needed to move the customization tab INSIDE another tab, it just boggles my mind.

They suck, not a fan at all personally

  • It depends, tunneling and camping at various points in the game are good strategy for the killer, all you can do it accept it and try to have fun, maybe it's boring for some people who just want to sit on gens and never get chased but there are things you can do/ your team can do to help you and make the killer waste more time, wasting time for killers can be detrimental to them, in you are in comms or have smart teammates, body blocking, taking a down even if you have gen pressure can be strong, bring anti tunnel perks, DS, OTR, have a friend bring new babysitter because that perk is nuts, have a good chase, know where to run etc. Chances are the killer will stay on you but you and a friend or more are able to keep you alive longer while also doing gens then you are in a winning position.

  • @jez_the_nun said:

Oh, tunneling? You can't. It's considered a valid play style apparently, and people will defend themselves and their right to do so vehemently. Only thing we can do is run perks like OTR or DS and buy and extra 30sec to a minute.

There are 2 types on tunneling, those who do it at specific times in order to win as a viable strategy, and those who do it at 5 gens with no reason or it being necessary, but the bottom line is that you are right, there is nothing you can do about it in solo queue specifically, even having one friend in comms to help you can cause a lot of issues for the killer, being good in chase and knowing where to run, bringing anti tunnel to waste more of the killers time etc

  • If it is a true 'bully squad' chances, are they aren't doing gens in the first place lol U think bully squads are fun to vs imo

I understand the pushback against this idea, but other killers don't have grenade function associated with their range attack. I mean, technically the Xenomorph has the acid/ tail attack combo, however it's still limited with it's range.

I've played against a lot of Unknowns who rely heavily on the spread that their range attack provides, especially in doorways. I still think that the power should be able to have long range, go through walls, and wound people, i just don't like that the unknown can down people with that power as well. I don't want to go down the whole "look at how crazy OP every new killer has been ever since they got rid of Spine Chill and Boon: Circle of Healing," but I just feel like the idea of making some trims here and there is okay.

A lot of the other comments already covered this, but it is a 3 hit to down power, with a 3 second window to actually damage you if you look at him while he is on cooldown, look at the killer and learn to path while doing so and it is an incredibly difficult power to hit and can be very punishing if he does miss, a miss means you should always be able to remove your weaken effect, meaning he has hit you twice again with power, I'd be more afraid of the zoning personally.

There is absolutely no reason that these killers should have the kits they do, whichever dev thought that plague inflicting broken was a good idea, look at the survival rate with that killer and forfeit your job please. Logically if you wanted to buff plague in a fair and balanced way, you should give her toxin a reduced speed buff for vaulting, gens, sabo etc. Giving her the ability to break and needing to cleanse to get healthy is the dumbest decision I have seen, it's pretty much die or die. Chucky is the same story, you give him undetectable, lunge, fast vaulting speed and not to mention he's almost impossible to see, ALL OF THESE ARE BASE KIT. You are ruining the game in every instance, stop before you lose everyone that enjoys your game. THINK for ten seconds and you should know this was a horribly unbalanced idea. Be better.

Plague destroys solo queue players who don't understand her power, if there is a random Meg running around cleansing every time they get infected, yeah ggs, but she got her weaknesses, her kill rate wasn't that high compared to other killers last time they released the list, if you're good in chase and your team isn't giving her power for free then she is just a basic m1 killer who can insta down, there are far more deadly killers who don't need as much set up and planning and get downs much easier.

  • I agree a lot of them are pretty mid or worse, not worth the time spent to activate them because the return is so little, however if there is 1 side quest perk, I think can be good it's inner strength, sure everyone just brings med kits to pubs but it's not bad, especially in solo queue and need to get healthy.

It's a no brainer that he needs some sort of help and i would hope he would be on a roadmap at some point in time down the line, but it brings up the question of how would you improve him without indirectly buffing Trickster / Huntress with additional locker placements?

In my mind, additional locker placements are not the way to go about it and it would most likely be a pain to specifically code in more locker's only for Dredge on every Map. Instead we can perhaps look at his Remnant teleport ability to be more effective, with how the Unknown's clones are passively generated, maybe Dredge can get a similar treatment with passively generating remnant's he can teleport to once Nightfall has hit? Maybe include a toggle for locker / remnant teleport function, like how clown's purple / yellow bottle power activation works.

    So some ideas…

    • Once Nightfall has commenced, the dredge will drop a Remnant at his current location every 10 seconds for the entirety of Nightfall's duration, that last until removed by a survivor touching it. (up to 6-8 Remnant's allowed on the map)
    • Once Nightfall has commenced, any injured survivor can not see readable auras while within 16m of a dropped Remnant's husk's vicinity until Nightfall ends.
    • While the Dredge is out of Nightfall, he is completely silent with his teleport directional audio cues while at least one remnant husk remains on the map.
    • While in Nightfall and you have at least one remnant husk active, you are not Highlighted in white to survivors.

Other than that, perhaps some reduced cooldowns and increased teleport speeds outside of Nightfall and some additional addon updates with the changes above in mind.

Thoughts on these suggestions or how yourself would go about changing him?

Remove the damn whooshing noise he makes when he is near, it sounds like an industrial vacuum cleaner is being ran, it undermines his stealth so hard, better locker spawns on some maps also.

Seriously how hard is it to put out a hot fix to this already? I'm seeing it on average more than I am regular matches at this point, not sure what really triggers it but it's extremely frustrating to play killer when all of a sudden at 3 gens left, just one pops and it automatically counts as 3 gens like ######### is this even about? I know it wasn't the survivors doing the gens either just last match there were 3 survivors left at 3 gens and I had two slugged they were trying to do flashlight plays and all of a sudden every gen pops? I ended with a 3k still because the other survivor just immediately left their team instead of helping but if one of them had been up instead of slugged that game would've been an unwinnable match I would've had to camp immediately over a a literal game ending bug instead of play normal, I really hope this is immediately resolved for this games sake or killers aren't going to play this hot mess you've got going on.

There is a lot of game breaking bugs right now, it isn't just this bug, and it isn't only killers feeling it

  • There would be so many killers that would just never get a game, rest in piece every twins, trickster, skull merchant, knight, nurse main out there lmao

  • @duygu said:

since killres are getting their mandatory addons implemented into their kit such as map of the realm and soma picture devs should switch the base dash values with current unicorn medallion values. it's impossible to play wesker without either the unicorn medallion or golden egg

It isn't a mandatory add on, it's just a feel good add on with some nice up sides to it, no half decent wesker needs that to be good, I wouldn't mind but this would allow Wesker to run 2 other add ons instead of just dedicating 1 slot to unicorn, which isn't needed, Wesker is already a pretty strong killer and really well designed imo.

  • Anyone even kind of good on Wesker does not need medallion to be good, It is literally just a feels good add on. It opens up some more dash opportunity sure but it's not like it makes a big difference, you can run Wesker with no add Ons and be just as good. But there is no way that add on is single handedly making people good at Wesker, the only real 'buff' this would give Wesker is that he can now use 2 other add ons on top of it now being base kit

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

If you can't play Wesker without Medallion + Egg then you're probably not that great at Wesker.

i don't think this has anything to do with the point of the post lol, medallion is just a feels good add on to some people, it does open up some more dash opportunity, but I don't think anyone half decent on wesker would say they need it to be good, it just feels nice.

  • The Knight changes overall are a buff, he just plays different now, you can still instant break pallets with carnifex, jailer can have up to a 40 second chase which is insane, and the banner doesn't spawn until like 20 seconds in, assassin is still something to be carful about and is the easiest guard to get hits with. Just because you can't instant drop a guard 6 inches in front of you now does not mean Knight is bad, he is still probably C tier at the highest levels, argument for low B if you play him in an enclosed, balanced environment. He requires more pathing skill for guards, everyone who used to just drop a guard at a pallet and stand there is gonna struggle, the guards now do a better job of what they were meant to do, add map pressure and keep survivors busy, not to get cheap hits at short pallets (which you can still do when used properly)

  • Equip whatever you want, you aren't responsible for the fun others have, do what makes you have fun and enjoy the game, don't listen to those who complain about certain builds or perks, It is part of the game and that's that, No matter what you do in this game there is always going to be someone who has a problem with it and that isn't on you.

  • It's part of the game and there is counters, I get it in solo queue there is no real way to know unless you get hit, if you want to avoid the aura read, go back and move the item to edge map and yeah you lose most or all of the item but you shouldn't be relying on items that hard anyway, items aren't what makes survivors strong, and quitting isn't gonna fix the issue for anyone, you are ruining the game for others, just stay and suck it up or quit and at least give you team a bot.

  • Who cares, It doesn't hurt anything, if you finish the pass, you get a bit more BP and progression, It isn't hard to get to level 85 if you play the game consistently, and if you don't then it still doesn't matter.

  • Personally, I dislike Trickster, there is just something about being pelted with knives that's annoying, I don't think he is very good, but is quite annoying imo.

  • Freddy is as bad as people say, he is basic M1 killer with terrible addons and virtually no chase power, sure he can TP to gens, just pre leave the gen and learn to play the map, if people are getting hit by Freddy teleports that's on them bro, It has very telegraphed channel animation and it has 45 second cooldown, which is literally half of a gen, not to mention he loses the ability gets weaker as the game progresses because he can't TP to finished gens, he teleports to one gen and if your team is smart, they're off splitting other gens anyway, he is VERY limited in what he can do and everything he does is very easily countered. There are so many other killers that can do what Freddy does but 5x more efficient, blight does it for free and his rushes have a 10 second cooldown, Billy can get to gens just as fast and instant down, you might find Freddy annoying, but he is not at all strong, not even sometimes, unless you're playing babies as Freddy, Freddy sucks.
