Honestly all respawning ideas etc feel kind of bad to me. They take the reward away from the surv when they destroy totems and keep frustration of killers when totems get destroyed early.
One solution that could work and be consistant would be: Make every Hex function like Thrill is right now. Each perk having 5 stacks and getting progressively worse or better as totems get cleansed. This way their worth is much more consistant but still clearly defined. This also makes rainbow map and other totem revealing less of a free win.
Other thing is adding passive effects so you always get some use out of them.

This is hilarious ๐! Really brightens the mood at this dark time in dbds history, ty.

You don't balance the game to cater to inferior players or you break it. The game is a casual party game for survs and that's why it's kind of stressful for a killer. Sure they should make the game more fair for the killer so they don't need all the perks and such for a chance.
And do also consider that mm is broken atm and as a bad killer you might also just be going against players you shouldn't. So if having way too hard games that might be a reason so at this time these kind of complaints are even less relevant.
But try and have fun w both sides, learning and understand a bit of both makes the experience a lot better. Killer yes harder to learn but still doable with a bit of research and patience.

You contradict yourself so badly it hurts. Them not fixing actual issues and still nerfing ruin is the issue exactly. Poor map design(size, loops and totems) causing too fast games, bugs(sound and dedicated server inconsistencies) are way up higher in what needs to be changed. So ofc people are upset the devs remove the only actual way for killers to combat these issues.
They did do a complete overhaul of healing why not same for objectives?
They just have to fix the actual issues even if at the cost of not having as much new content. The rift etc brings the money too not just dlc so fix the things that are actually broken and dont just help rank15 survs play the game cause the 1000+ hours people are the ones who bring the money not the guys who just bought the game from a sale.

The ideas behind the ability changes were good if you just understand what they mean. Personally i love the reworks ability kit, makes him a lot more skill expressive and fun/rewarding in chases cause you don't have to swap a stance and therefore lose speed(a clear buff to a before bad ability in chases). And you no long lose tier 1 madness reveal on other survs if you just put shock on in chase.
BUT the fact the decided to add compensation nerfs to the abilities without even having an idea of his power is stupid. Basically all somewhat well balanced games add in slightly too strong stuff so people play vs or with that and then can give data so they can balance. They just need to admit they cant make killers and perks so that they are one and done, balancing happens by data and feedback.
Also when they only mention surv fun vs doc the really meant it. His power is all addons and one of them has to be a shock modifier or the shock is near useless(so you are down to 1 addon or doing a gimmick build). They also didn't touch the fact window vaults don't get interrupted. Even if doc hits before the vault goes over it still happens if started.
Basically his power depends fully on using addons to even do anything and does less and less the better the survs understand him cause it only really punishes player who don't. On top of that it has a lot of bugs or whatever. These didn't get touched on so the rework is really worrying.

They are supposed to be that by design pretty obviously so that every1 can find their own look and have a unique character. And prop. not run into balance issues and things like you facing 4 of the meta surv (if one exists) and no ways to differenciate the players.
That being said there is the male/female differenece (which really isnt noticable):
Males: taller but have lower step frequency(so less steps to be heard but easier to see)
Female: smaller but higher step frequency(opposite of males)
And in the end the 2 somewhat gamebreaking things skins and voices:
Character with darker skins will always be harder to spot(prestiges, claudette, green feng).
Too hard to hear voice when injured/dying so you dont need ironwill(ace).
But there being stronger and weaker combinations can even be good so that you can choose to play as competetive as you can or just to look cool. Resulting into there being a possibility for competetive nature in tournaments.
But when it comes to changing ones mind about a fact I cant really do much. Just mentioning the slight differences and the adept achievements. Also possibility for "hardcore" gameplay so that you only use the adepts(maybe if BHVR even made a gamemode out of it).

The mash-ups are a nice idea imo. Though the devs making them instead of working on the game isn't what we need rn. Also what makes things worse is the serious lack of quality in the mashups. Can't see why would anyone think that an asian girl who cant understand basics of the game screaming at the top of her lungs is fun, this also being pretty much most of the clips in the mash-ups lately.

The fact that a large amount of streamers(who play a lot of the game) do not see playing against a legion fun/fair doesn't happen just because. There are several reasons why one would dislike legion.
Main issues being:
- Frenzy removes any punishment for missing attacks for no real reason which removes reward from outplaying him. (e.g. hillbilly needs an addon to do this for his chainsaw yet the effect is still lesser)
- The power removes standard gameplay(looping/mindgames/360) without adding anything in its place besides another "press a button for a certain time"-mechanic which are frowned upon in the community already.
- And obviously the addons that literally break the game and/or are way too strong(similar to nurse having 5 blinks that remove any outplay potential and skill from the game).
In goldeneye speedrunning a mechanic called "lookdown" nearly killed the community by being too unfun due to it being too far from what people liked about the gameplay. If a mechanic goes too far from normal gameplay of the game(the reason why people enjoy and play the game) it's a poor idea. For this very same reason a large portion of the community hates playing against nurse. Nurse though, has some interesting counterplay in mindgames and stealth.
Simply said legion is a poorly thought out killer that ruins the thing that is for many/majority the reason the play the game, the chases. And to add something in its place has a button press and hold mechanic. He's just lazy and poor desing in basically every aspect of the power. There is an atrocious lack of thinking what can one do to counter him by the devs.

You already know, the devs say slugging is not bannable. Nothing to discuss
I also did say that I wouldn't consider a thing to avoid ranking up a normal intended tactic that is intended to be used by the devs. For example if you go into a game just to wait for the killer to kill you so you depip. It can be done but is it a tactic? It does ruin the normal gameplay.
The main question in this is that is it participating in normal gameplay if you basically refuse to complete your objective to not gain points(blood or rank)? It's not an optional objective to let people bleed out.
And thanks for everyone's input :)! Just want to hear what you guys think about the topic and why.

No, it's a tactic. Slugging isnt holding the game hostage since you're gonna die anyways. He probably should have hooked you guys once you were all down but no it's not bannable
This is basically my point. He has no reason not to hook at the very least someone. Since if he's slugging everyone, there is always the chance someone finds the hatch when last slug alive.
The only reason I see there is, is him trying to avoid ranking up. Since you don't gain anything from slug kills do you?

Power that is even worse of a gimmick than the one currently is a stupid idea. Freddys issue is that that his power is very different and therefore hard to balance already.
Not to mention how often the game would crash on people with this kind of power. DbD being as terribly optimized as it is, something like this in an already high cpu load game would just cause nothing good.

There should be some form of lobbyban so that you'd have delay that you can't relobby. Since there is already lines of code to set timers on creating lobbies (after exiting swf or killer lobby you have 5s wait), it shouldn't be too hard to put a say 5min/15min/1h dc wait penalty. And this would reset around every hour or so that even if you play a full game in between you couldnt dc again. System that is in LoL pretty much.
Whats good about this too is that if u get the initial 5min for connection issue dc(sudden wifi disconnection etc.), you can simply take that time to troubleshoot your internet connection.
And if a player has too bad connection to play reliably, punishing him isn't wrong. Since those connection issues affect other players too.

One thing that would help is not showing survs the door locations at all when gens get completed. This would give time for the killer to catch survivors who don't know door locations and help to score 1 more hook/kill. Finding the doors would be an extra "objective" that the survivors actually need to do. Would create an additional skill aspect to the endgame too.
Additionally perks like Bitter Murmur or Wake Up! and Map items would be more useful without needing direct reworks/adjustments.
