I'm primarily a survivor main, and I think that affects how I prefer to play killer. I always keep in mind that there are four other people on the other side of the screen who also want to enjoy the game. Because of that, I’ve developed a personal rule of thumb.
Since the matchmaking system often puts me up against weaker or average players (with some exceptions), I try to limit myself to around 8 hook states per match. When I go up against stronger teams, I play more seriously — but even then, if I manage to dominate, I usually give them a chance to escape.
This approach doesn't hurt my progression at all — by the time reset rolls around, I’m red rank on both roles.
Because I play on console and can’t read post-game chat, I’d love to hear what other players think of this playstyle.
P.S. I’m not trying to convince anyone to play this way — just sharing my perspective.
Personally as killer, I usually play normally to get my 8 hooks and depending on what I see determines my results. For example:
If I know I had hooked this 1 person 2 times already and I'm still at 3-5 gens, I usually just slug them and move to the next survivor that way they get a chance to still play while keeping pressure.
If the person is trolling or refusing to do objectives, I will end them fast as they are just making the game harder for their team. If the whole team is trolling/memeing, I let them have their fun before ending them all.
If they are throwing the game by not letting me leave a hook, I'm gonna slug and hook them to end the game.
Once 3rd gen is done or if everyone is 2nd hook, I will start ending people, and usually let the last person go. However if they are a really good team with great coordination and I feel they deserve a free escape, ill usually end the game with a slug race.
Honestly in the end its just a game and i really dont go in looking for a 4k but at the same time i want the survivors have a chance to play as well.

So the only time I got crows was with stealth killers. Usually the terror radius helps prevent the crows from spawning so fast however just trying to find gens can take long in bigger maps if your not running Deja exspecially when there is only 3- 4 left. Also trying to find no Ed takes time not including cleanseing it which is something these crows does not give. I feel like this is a good and bad thing. It just needs to be tweaked a lit more depending on situations. Like maybe once the gens are finished make it stop like the anti camp instead of after endgame collapse. Also this not being able to sacrifice yourself on 2nd is a good and bad thing exscially since now killers can mori at 2 survivors. So now we can't hide till the other survivors dies becasue of crows and we also can't get lucky with hatch spawns under us while downed. Idk I feel like this is all to much 😕.

Honestly my swf brings them so we dont end up in the same map 5 times in a row or if we just want to play a certain map. My friend loves resident evil and silent hill so we usually end up there most of time. But seriously that's why we bring them. Otherwise the rest of the offering are always blood points.

I hear it's a feature added to preve t the exit from bugging out due to the killer powers. But it still bugges out from time to time so it kinda dones work like it should. Maybe it's more prevent the killer from bugging through the exit more than the survivor? Who knows. But it makes sense if it was indeed created to be a fail safe and would make sense why killers with certain power only have it and not all.

Oo I agree some killers are hard to tell apart because they share the same music. Hearing new music is interesting, I also like the Idea of legions mix tapes changing their music. I would like see that with other killers as well depending on their add on. For example what if infinity myer had its own ver or trickster getting a remix depending on if he had different records or such.
I would also like to see a sound adjuster in accessibility section. Some of the killers chase music get way to loud at time and feel like it's to much for my ADD. I would like a way to cap the sounds to a certain lvl if avalable. But then again I feel like that option would be considered a crutch to some.

As killer I loved the event. It felt like old dbd when gen use to get done fast and brings more challenge. The only time I didn't care for it was when we were on Hawkins but then again I hate that map as survivor too since I always get lost there. 😔
NOW as survivor, I HATED it. Other killers were tunneling and slugging like crazy. I haven't had a chill killer the whole time. It was so bad I stopped playing as survivor in general and just played killer for the remainder. As much as I really like to play with my friends, I'm not getting to play at all if I'm not running anti-slug, ds, or power struggle. And to be fair, the only reason I played the event was for the extra BP and in hopes to help killer farm the BP to max everything out.

The fact that killers can run four aura perks including addons is honestly a major crutch and a pain.
You're already making it so survivors can't run more than one exhausted perk, so why not give survivors this? You nerfed distortion into the ground and it gave the stealthy survivors literally no counter to any of this.
If you don't make it so they can only run one aura perk can maybe make it so they have a long cooldown or something?
Personally as a killer main, I hate using aura perks. I think it too distracting and take you eyes off chases and gen protecting. Honestly, I rather see all aura reading perks gone for both sides and get more chase related perks instead for killers . I miss the whole hide and seek part of the game.
"If there is no aura perk then how do you know where survivors are?" Easy check gens. there is also spies from the shadows (can be countered with one of jakes perks) and my personal favorite is whispers (nothing counters it except for your own skill lvl). Another favorite is discordance which is great paired with surge.
A perk I use have as my 4th perk was predator because it made tracking survivor scratch marks so much easier and was a great counter to light weight until they changed it to an aura reading perk. I was soo upset that they messed up my fav perk.
But then again this is my opinion and I played before there was any aura reading at all, maps were bigger, and gens were much faster so my mindset is much different from newer killers.
