  • Thank you I appreciate the answer. Now I Just wish that the devs would've included that bit of info along with this update earlier. it seems I'm not the only one that has fallen victim to the situation in game and I think personally it's messed up that players like me try and go unhook another survivor believing that we''ll at least get away with a damage state when unhooking another player/survivor when we're actually going to be dropped right infront of hooked survivor, all bcuz nobody knows of the small certain change within this^ update. "Cancellable" and being "Interrupted" are definitely 2 different things.

  • You're welcome guys lol

  • I definitely appreciate the fact you're like the only one who responds to my posts. Thank you for the advice I'ma try out some kill room ideas

  • I love the sound of this idea. I also think the Custodian would be a good killer candidate bcuz of the weapons, (just drop the ranged weapon and have the ability to set traps) plus, we'd have skins for the Custodian too. Not to copy trapper but, like what if you could set 3, (non OP), different kinds of traps like Impaler, Boltshot, and Iron Claw but, with a cooldown in between each and have add-ons for each as well as one that allows for 2nd wave traps when the gens get completed?

However, seeing what they can do with the Warmonger would definitely be fun as well to see in DBD. Plus, it'd leave room for them to release another MYM Event going on in DBD again with the Genmats.

Also, with that, what was with the blue and green Genmats in the last MYM Event if those aren't actually even in MYM? I've been wondering still ever since if they intended to do something different with the Genmats in MYM at some point.

Could they possibly do something like increase the value of how much resources can be collected for faster depletion of Genmats depending on colors blue or green?

Srry to include this unrelated thing about Genmats in your topic, you sparked a memory for me lol.

Overall, I'd love to see a Killer chapter in DBD from MYM. Especially if it increases interest for MYM's population. That would be awesome.

  • I've been finding hopping through and sticking to the sides of the CC Hallways actually helpful, you just have to be precise when shooting down traps ahead down the path.

I've been trying to experiment with my own CC base and I've been seeing people just hopping the entirety of it with barely even 2 deaths. I may not have as much put into mine as others but I'm also not trying to copy anyone's base either.

The point I'm trying to make here you can get past the frame rate as long you don't try to speed run as much. I've also found that frame rate drop usually only happens when 2nd wave traps are spammed near the Genmats. It feels like the further away the 2nd wave traps from Genmats the less frame ratey.

  • Well shoot lol fair enough point there. I guess I didn't consider the hard work. However this does make me wish we can move the Genmats locations but, I dont think it'd be any different than what you said.

  • Not only that I kind of wish you could copy an outpost you have successfully raided. Like the end screen should have an option to "copy outpost" because I've come across a few good and fun bases I'd spend 20 or more deaths on that I'd love to copy and make changes to it too.

Maybe the option could include spending a large amount of currency to copy someone's base.

  • I appreciate that you're one of the various many that actually show paths to tombs like that. I very much tend to wonder when there's no tell of arrows leading to tombs. I don't have much resources to begin with like other raiders so it's hard for me to keep my base(s) running and unlock new upgrades from all my advisors. I've been stuck with the same Ronn suit for a while now.

I get that wanting to put blocks on top of tombs to make a better path is useful, but why cant they disable blocking the tombs? I'd say let us be able to move or place them wherever we feel but I'm sure that would be abused within between traps. It isn't very nice and to be honest I'm happy to abandon their raids but that just makes me feel like a poor sport at the same time and I don't like that either. It just feels like a double edged sword really.

  • Ah I see what you mean now. Yea it'd be kind of cool if they did something to help with that. Like why not when set and record paths for guards they could add an option to "see demonstration" or something so we can see what happens while we're still in build mode?

  • I think I understand what you're suggesting, but while placing and recording routes you can already watch a hologram of the said guard(s) running their route after you recorded it.

  • What if the bolt of electricity instantly streams across horizontally or vertically depending the angles and clear sight of the nodes facing eachother, after a normal charge rate of 1sec of activation to force the raider to have to peek the corners to shoot them down.

Then we can alter how the trap works with upgrades/mods

Like faster charge rate for only half damage and could set another separate pair of connected nodes past the first pair, or even make mod that allows the trap to fire off 2 times in a row with 0.5secs between each zap. That or leave the finishing blow to a different trap afterwards.

I could see this kind of trap combo well with CC's a lot as well as plasma coils. As long as they are cleverly placed behind holocubes or even corner platform blocks.

  • This idea would help with waking up for me personally because I can't just play games in the morning when I have responsibilities like making sure my child gets up for school or making breakfast and stuff and getting ready for work.

I'd love to be able to check on my outposts immediately without having to wait through loading screens for up to 5 mins after turning the console on or starting up my computer.

Electric Beam Trap would need to place 2 things instead of 1.That being node A and node B.Then an electric beam from A to B nodes would happen every 3sec for 0.5sec.

It go's without saying that a trap like this would need to be heavily balanced like not allowing the beam to travel down the path you have to walk but instead go from side to side or no more than 2 in the same 3x3x3 area.Or something like that.

How would the trap work as in stopping or killing the raider(s)? Could you describe what it might look like when it activates/triggers? Also, should it be a cube like the plasma coil or a wall/floor/ceiling trap?

Actually though, if you wanted to be a trap, wouldn't you want it to be hidden until the raider crosses it path? I mean you don't have to hide them either but, wouldn't it be more effective if instead, it zaps the raider instantly as soon as it charges up for however many seconds depending on the amount of nodes connected, as long as the raider doesn't destroy em all beforehand?

I'd say probably at that point anyways, I agree with the less nodes more deadly comment. Just put 1 on each side of the path behind holocubes facing each other so they only have to charge up for .5sec or 1sec. When the raider crosses and make the holocubes go they have to make a quick decision.

I've seen this suggested before but I'm strongly opposed. The problem is not all players are good faith builders. If this was done in a fun way and builders didn't take advantage of it then it'd be one thing. But if you've been playing when the spontaneous mod was first released then you'd realize that builders can't be trusted to not abuse something. For example, what if I put my "key guard" in a place that isn't accessible to the raider? Then the outpost can't be completed and the only way forward in the expedition is to abandon the outpost. You always have to consider what someone with nefarious ideas would do with something. The only way I can see a feature like this being implemented is if it was only available in social raids. But why waste the time and effort developing something that 0.001% of the player base would use?

Fair enough, I kind of forgot ppl could just put blocks around said "key"

  • Yea I understand, it's just so frustrating when you do go back to check on it just in case it was a holocube blocking it and it turns out they've simply built on top of it. Unless somehow ppl have figured out how to make a holocube have a skin, but, that's not a thing either lol

  • Fair enough, I guess I didn't think of the fact players would be frustrated even more. Well you've given me a new perspective of the game and I appreciate the time you took to view my post. I hope to come up with something cool later in the future then.
