I’m having the same issue but still don’t know how to fix it. If you figure it out lmk! :)

My biggest issue with it is simply all the important info not being together it's why the old UI is vastly better.
Old UI: simply glance at the bottom left and get all the info you need, this also made it easier to notice when something changed since your constantly looking at it and are used to it being there.
New UI: Placement of everything is too spread apart. Gens are at the top, power at the bottom, survivors at the left top it's all over the place making it is harder to notice when things change ESPECIALLY with the survivor icons as they are at the top left somewhere we never look and we have other things to pay attention to.
They said they pushed it live for console feedback (total bs IMO) and as a console player with a decently sized tv it's AWFUL. I am literally playing games and having to divert way too much attention away from the center of the screen and the gen icons are so out of the way i literally only look at it like twice a match. Point is console players have bigger screens and thus the info is even more spread out this UI is simply bad.
I have the same problem as you. I play on a pretty normal sized tv so the screen is quite big and with the old UI it was simply easier and a more enjoyable experience in game. This new UI has me all over the place trying to find vital info. Also, the hook timers are s o s m a l l

I agree with everything said. I noticed the movement too and haven’t seen many others talking about it. It’s very slow and my sensitivity hasn’t changed at all since the update.
As for the UI, I liked the compact design of the previous one (I was on one discussion and someone used the analogy that it’s like your gauges in your car, you look down quickly to get the info and then return to your wide view). I played a few games with this new design and I cannot seem to focus on anything because my eyes have to jump around the screen every few seconds to get the info I need.
Also, anyone that’s been playing the game for a while doesn’t need the survivor portraits and hook counters. My mind automatically keeps tabs on everyone’s hook count and it’s fairly easy to figure out which survivor is which (and you can even pull up the in game menu and it tells you!). Just saying, survivor portraits aren’t VITAL information like hook timers (which have been decreased in size so much).

Yeah it sucks. There was nothing wrong with the way it was... now it's just all over the place. It reminds me of those people who put all their folders on their computer desktop to the edge of the screen because they think it looks neater 😂
Exactly lol

I haven't had any problems with it survivor side, knowing everyone's hook counters is pretty helpful. I definitely aren't frantically looking around anyway and can play as normal.
I’m glad you can play normally, idk, I just can hop on board with the new layout.

I hate it so much (new player ui) that im whiling to never play Dead by Daylight again. I don’t know how the can suck the joy from someone that’s favorite game has been dbd since the jump start. Well you definitely did! Like I understand you want to update player UI for the better but LEAVE IT IN THE SAME SPOT IT HAS BEEN FOR 4 going on 5 YEARS! Why change that now. And the way the players move now:/ just stop ######### with the game man:(
I mean I’ve only been playing for two years but I’m right there with you. I gave up after two games today and don’t want to log back in because I simply cannot stand another match with this HUD.

Yeah it all looks so bad. The new HUD needs to go; idk how they could possible think the mobile game UI look would work in a modern game.
Exactly. Also, idk about you but the pallets look kind of weird in game now, almost like the mobile version.

Literally none of us console players had an issue with it, if anything the new hud made things worse, I literally can’t see the progression bar on teammates struggling on the hook, this is a big red flag.
Neither can I, and I play on a huge tv. That’s the number one thing (other than the standing still animation) that’s really making me dislike the game right now. Can’t even play the game anymore because my focus is everywhere else except what’s happening in game (HUD is too distracting).

I was thinking the exact same thing. I simply don’t like it and and can’t play the game anymore because it reminds me too much of the mobile version (which I deleted because I disliked it so much!). Also, the “useful info” they added like hook counter may be useful for new players but it serves no purpose for me (or any other experienced player) because my mind automatically keeps tabs on all of the survivors. Just want to say I understand how frustrated you are because I’m right there with you.

I’ve been having a hard time in games today because of the fact that I’m looking all over the screen trying to see what’s happening. The old hud was simple and all the info I needed was in the bottom left and right corners.
