Dbd is not nearly as unbalanced as many people claim.

It's really on the higher and lower level of play where there are problems. And even then it's not that big of a deal.

There is no perfect balance to achieve in a assymetrical game and completly changing the core mechanics is throwing away 4 years of balancing.

I can say the same that people that are constantly asking for reworks are ruining it for people that are already enjoying the game

I agree, the game is not terribly unbalanced. There are a few things, like keys and moris, but the devs said they plan on reworking them. As for tunneling and camping, sure it sucks, but its balanced. If a killer face camps someone, the killer will lose because the survivors will finish all the gens if they are smart. Plus there is comradery, which will extend someones hook time. There are also perks that hurt the killer if he slugs or tunnels. The killer also loses bloodpoints and medals for camping. I think the real problem is that survivors will throw the whole game to save someone. I'll play as trapper, put someone in shack basement, and trap every entrance. People will still go for the save and all I have to do is reset the one trap they set off and now I have two people in the basement, but if they just did the gens, I would only get one kill and I wouldn't see this as a viable strategy anymore. This happens consistently in my red rank games. If people would punish the killers for camping and tunneling instead of playing into it, killers would not camp so much.

  • Im amazed no one has gotten a free wiggle out on my when I have to try 3 to 4 times to hook them. Don't even understand how that bug would show up, they didn't do anything with the hooks. Same with DS, most of the bugs don't have anything to do with the stuff they changed.

  • Ive always thought playing against a death slinger was fun, but I did notice a lot of people would dc. I don't really get it though, he's no worse than a good spirit, hag, or nurse. I think people just get mad that they can't loop death slinger around some loops, so they say there is no counterplay. I also see a lot of people say he is just a worse huntress. Well, if he has no counterplay, how is he worse, nerfing him would make him be chosen even less and that's not good balance.

  • Most peoples idea of a good game is just trashing on someone worse than them. In my experience, if the survivor can't 360 5 times in a row, and sometimes even when they do, I'm a toxic sweat. Same with killers if the survivors play even half competently. People say that bhvr is bad at balancing the game, but every little thing is abused to an absurd amount that iv never seen in other multiplayer games just so people can do this to each over.

This test isn't ridiculous. 2 of the most common suggestions were to "use my eyes" and "learn the spawn points". These are both things you can do in this test.

Use your eyes is obviously a joke/sarcasm, and you said you don't want to learn the spawns. Besides that, not allowing any of the suggestions given doesn't make sense. You want to see how hard it is to find a survivor, bit you don't let people use tools to find the survivor.

You know what? There is no point of arguing about the difficulty of finding survivors. Instead you can PROVE it to me. I'll host a private lobby and you can see how long it takes for you to find me. I'll time it from the moment the game loads in to the first hit (I won't use windows or pallets). Conditions:

    Ormond

No addons and perks and no power that give mobility, detection, set-up or stealth, e.g. Clown is a good killer for this test

Send me a private message if you are interested in testing. If no one makes an attempt, then I guess I was just right. Some people say it only takes 20 seconds to find a survivor, so I guess you lose if you don't find me within 20 seconds?

This is a ridiculous test. You were given solutions to your problem and this test outlaws everyone of those solutions. Any survivor can hide from the killer the whole game with these conditions. Every idea you were given, you came up with some BS excuse as to why you want use it. Don't complain about a problem if you won't accept any of the solutions you are given to fix the problem. The problem isn't survivors doing the exact thing they are supposed to do, it's you wanting to be babied.

  • Im sure lots of other people have said this, but pc players with mouse and keyboard and turn so much faster than console players. This helps with mind games and 360s. They can also do some really nasty maneuvers like going for a window, and then somehow sliding on the wall past it (don't really know how to describe it sorry). It's hard playing legion against mouse and keyboard when they can 360 me during frenzy faster then I can 180. Granted, not everyone can do this, but I imagine if your a high red rank, most people can, and that's where things like this matter the most.

  • I think DS is a ridiculous perk. There has been so many times where I go and hook one or two other people, then down the DS person, get stunned, and now everyone escapes off of the hook. If you don't like the killer tunneling don't let him. Wait until the killer actually leaves instead of doing it in their face. If the killers camping it doesn't matter, no one was probably going to get the unhook anyway without them going down, then the killer will just camp them. All it does is reward the survivors mistakes. The timer at the very least needs to be brought down a lot, or reworked to be based of different criteria, like if the Kier chases someone else for ten seconds after the unhooking, DS deactivates. That would make it actually anti tunneling.

  • I don't really think the game is slanted either way. Granted iv not played for very long, about a year, but iv reached red rank on both sides with non meta perks and killers and I feel like things are alright. The only perk I have a problem with is DS. I get having a nontunnel perk, but a whole minute of basically immunity when coming of the hook is pretty ridiculous. Then people make whole builds around DS which spoils the gameplay. I feel like all DS does is punish a killer for capitalizing on a survivors mistake.

  • Thanks for wanting to make the game for everyone. The only thing I could think to make it more that what your already doing is to try crazy builds. Otzdarva always features very interesting killer builds you can check him out for some ideas

  • I love going against trappers because I'm a trapper main, and I find death slinger and huntress fun to play against. I hate hag because a good hag is impossible, and I hate the stealth killers and Micheal. Everyone else I don't mind.
