From a survivor's perspective, it is unfair, however, there are other solutions, such as instantly popping up a free repaired gen to help the remaining survivors in the trial, or increasing the remaining survivors repairing/unhooking/sabotaging/healing/opening gates speed 'til the remainder of the trial. There is absolutely no way you can force someone to stay in a match that feels like a torture to that person. It's completely unethical that one person needs to feel really bad so you can feel good.

You're telling me that it's unethical to not let a survivor try to unhook themselves 3 times at the beginning of the trial solely to get themselves out of the game which they chose to play? With your same argument the DC penalty "forces someone to stay in a match that feels like a torture to that person. It's completely unethical that one person needs to feel really bad so you can feel good." Better take away the DC penalty again because it's unethical.

I'd say it's more unethical to get mad and leave 3 survivors to play a game meant for 4 people because they got butthurt because someone played a killer they don't like.

There is something that you need to understand: some killers are so hard to face that we, survivors, do not wish to face'em. We judge them unfair and that is why, sometimes, we kill ourselves in our first hook. That is not "my problem", as in "ego problem". This is clearly a balancing issue. These kind of things needs to be discussed, specially with streamers or content creators, that are closer to Behavior than we'll ever be.

We do get your point, actually. Playing as a killer sounds completely unfair because you're up against other 4 people. But that's just because you think you HAVE TO KILL ALL 4 SURVIVORS EVERYTIME. If you kill 3 and one escapes through the hatch, "it's unfair". If you kill 2 and 2 escapes through the gates, "it's unfair, they brought medkits, they brought tool boxes, Prove Thyself and yada yada yada".

Get a hold of yourself. Breathe and think. How's that (2 survivors escaping) humiliating in any way that you get so frustrated and think that you've been wronged in any way? It's time we end this vicious cycle.

Playing against Wraith, Nurse, Oni, Blight and Spirit has been a complete pain in the ass for quite a long time now. Those killers are way too overwhelming if played correctly. Who the heck allowed Oni to make those 180º drifts anyway? What about Blight? Dude, the drifts that killer's able to do... that is so ridiculous and embarassing. Spirit regains her power so fast that makes her unbearable. I think you get my point. If you still don't, try playing survivor for a month. I'm sure you'll be able to understand what I mean.

No I don't get your point. I'm talking about this from a survivor's perspective. I think you responded to the wrong post because this has nothing to do with my argument.

You can’t keep a survivor in a game they don’t want to be in. Even if you prevent them from attempting to escape/kill themselves, they’ll just AFK until the match is over.

That's honestly better than them not being in the game at all though. Just because you can't keep someone in the game if they want doesn't mean you should make it incredibly easy for them to leave. It's like if the killer could open the exit gate whenever they wanted for the game to be over quicker.

You forget blessing a totem takes like half a decade and the killer can snuff them in the blink of an eye? Stop taking this so seriously man.

Idk what you're smoking but sometimes you can't snuff those totems out

  • Having a NOED kind of thing in endgame dependent on totems remaining would make the endgame so much more interesting. It would make totems so much more important too.

Ghostface still does well on there.

True, Ghostface can stalk a survivor to 99% and gets something out of "losing" a chase, so he plays well with pallets.

  • I think NOED becomes an issue when you have all gens done, everyone is alive, then the killer finds one person and face camps with NOED to try to secure one kill, which happens a good bit in lower- and mid-ranked games. In these situations, there's no chance of a rescue, and if the person is on their 2nd hook, you have less than 1 minute to find the totem and make the rescue.

There should be a 2nd counter to NOED other than "cleanse everything" like a limit to the number of exposed hits or swings by the killer to have more of a meet-in-the-middle solution. Like for every hooked survivor, the killer gains a token up to a max of X, and the killer gets X many exposed m1 swings in the endgame.

It's still powerful, and it makes it more worth it to go for a hooked survivor while NOED is active.

  • We'll make it is a must-run for me. With BT it can mitigate tunneling by healing hooked survivors super fast.

I run unbreakable a good bit but it's so situational that I rarely use it. When it works though, it's powerful.
