Then why bother commenting on a VIDEO GAME that you don't "even play"? This kind of pathetic negativity is confusing to me. These forums are typically for people that play DEAD BY DAYLIGHT. LOFL, it's SO sad.

LOFL SO SAD< LELSZ GG< PEEPLS SHOULDNT COMPLENZ ON FORUMS FOR GAEMS DONT PLAYZ LELLZ.

Jesus the person obviously enjoys the game, but has lost interest in it because of the current slew of broken updates.

The entire HUD redesign smells so of 'let's make it esports ready'.

Which raises the question: Why force it on the actual players? Players need vital info:

Who is injured/hooked, what's their hook state.

All these things they seem to want to add etc sounds so much 'oh yeah, this is for a spectator to keep track of points'... Just... put that into a spectator mode in customs. Tournament matches gonna be played in customs anyway.

I haven't checked what the spectator UI looks like, but for crying out loud...

This is really, throwing things at the wall and either not waiting what sticks or using what broke.

I mean UI is very little to do with "esports". The previous UI wasn't great for e-sports but it would've done the job fine.

If they are trying to make this game "e-sports ready" then there are FAR bigger concerns that need to be addressed before the UI.

The title seems a bit of an exaggeration; we can't ever really know what the devs, or any other person or persons, are thinking.

Based on the most recent devstream, I'm inclined to think that the UI change was something they did for fun and just really didn't want to back down on - hence them showing the potential OoO change and teasing a DS nerf, as a way to show that they do listen to the community, even though they aren't about this specific thing.

I'd be inclined to give the devs a little slack with this - at least until the next chapter comes out and we can see if this was actually preparing for some big change like they seemed to suggest when they announced the UI change. I don't think anything will happen, but I think it's worth waiting to see if there was actually a practical reason they went against what basically everyone wanted.

Of course, I also haven't played this game, besides today, in like a month; so if I seem a bit too forgiving towards their behavior (heh heh) feel free to ignore me.

Imagine if ,oh I don't know, they used their WORDS to tell us what they're thinking? Wouldn't that be great? you know, just drop the community a line now and then to say "Hey we've heard you, this isn't what we had in mind, lets use this feedback to fix the issues".

Instead we get a curated joke of a Q&A session every 3 months where the cherry pick the questions they want to answer and then radio silence about other issues, until it's time to SELL SELL SELL the new chapters then it's media blasted on all radio frequencies.

  • +1 I made an account for this forum just to post here.

#RevertTheMovement, Event as a killer main it is too much. So many times hits that I didn't think should hit actually did and times when I was certain that I should hit never actually did. It's a mess right now and not just the animations and UI. Something is going on with hit validation/hit boxes as well.

I'm leaning more towards hit box changes because of the killer bus fat shaming bug.

  • Yeah the UI I might've just gotten used to or lived with. But the garbage hitboxes/hit validation + the terrible Match making + The collision problems with structures on some of the new maps + The animations breaking looping and getting stuck on things = Me stopping playing this game until we see these issues addressed.

The game was on the tipping point of being more tedious than fun for a while now, this update tipped that scale to "Not fun" for me. There are other games that I can spend time on while we wait for this to get fixed.
