  • I'm perplexed how absurd these changes sound. I'll probably main this killer going forward and I go through entire matches without breaking a single pallet and after infecting someone, they can't survive for 30s in ANY loop. I know survivors will get better, but so will I with her.

It's crazy how well she can tunnel as well given how easy it is to go back to hook and chase the survivor who's leeched off-hook. Buffing ANY aspect of her means she becomes even more oppressive in chase, the only way to change her is a rework to completely remove body form and make head form more standard to fit the Krasue myth or a serious number's nerf. One small thing I think could be done is to make her unable to be blinded while looking down in head form, feels weird for that to work with every killer but her.

Just let me remind you that in her lore she doesn't feel guilt for what happened to her friends, she's completely ok with killing people for her own success. It totally makes sense for her and the Krasue part of her to work together.

    Relevant factors in this discussion:

-Victor Pounces at 746% speed, slower than a Slinger shot and a fully charged Huntress hatchet, but faster than a Demo Shred. He is reactable at mid range (a closer range than Huntress is reactable at).

-If Charlotte is far away, you can also hop in lockers to force a locker search if you're confident you can get out before Charlotte catches you.

-because he can't vault, many main buildings with multiple windows (e.g. Groaning Storehouse or Fractured Cowshed) are very good against him, and he's literally useless at harvesters and the Myers house balcony because those force the Killer to vault.

-Despite Victor not having a TR, he does make loud noises that let you know if he's close, so he's more like Freddy than Wraith.

And none of this is relevant to the discussion at hand: the Twins are borderline unusably clunky right now because 8 seconds of fatigue after a hit is just too long.

Oh sure. They're clunky as hell and that definitely needs to be addressed. I was commenting on your question about what else is there to hate other than slugging and camping Twins.

I'm sorry Victor must be closer to Wraith, because he also makes noises while cloaked and near you. Freddy literally warns you with a normal terror radius or a fixed 32m lullaby.

The vaults you mentioned as god windows against Victor definitely didn't come to my mind, those are fair points. Also the speed, I was wrong there, but he gets to fully charged faster than Huntress too which gives the survivors less time to react and less distance to get in the "reactable" range, and he's much faster than her so it's much easier to get really, really close and only then use a pounce.

Victor's strong, but far from unbeatable. He can't break pallets or vault windows, he can't M1 meaning he always has to aim, when he's winding up his attack he's as slow as Huntress winding up, and if you're healthy he has no way to down you. And even if he does get the down (i.e. you're already injured) someone else can just kick him... Plus you can kick him if he misses.

He's way less powerful in chase than something like Blight or Oni.

I'm not sure (but pretty confident) that he is weaker than Blight and Oni in chase and he does requires aiming all the time, that doesn't mean he isn't oppressive, however. Just to be clear, when I say oppressive I mean they leave very little room for counterplay or force one, very boring, type of counterplay. Dropping pallets early and vaulting them definitely counters Victor, but that's all you can do. He's fast so dodging/getting distance won't help you much.

The fact that he's stealthy makes him almost like Wraith, you get a free injury. The huntress comparison doesn't really work when you can't react to Victor, I'm pretty sure he's (at least close to) the fastest thing in the game while pouncing, so the distance you get while he's charging *I'M GUESSING* does nothing, if the Twins player predicts where you go you get hit, and this part specifically is fair, but not considering everything else I'm saying here.

And his respawn timer is so short that kicking him while Charlotte is near is practically useless.

Twins is definitely not a problem in the 1v4 (or "if you consider all 4 survivors" if you prefer it like that). The classic 2 groups of 2 survivors to make sure they can't snowball is pretty effective.

That's the thing: there wouldn't be much you'd need to change about them to make them MUCH more tolerable to go against.

Remove Victor camping and make them less slug-reliant by allowing Charlotte to get a pickup faster.

What is there to complain about beyond that?

I could be very wrong because I haven't faced many Twins. But isn't Victor a bit too oppressive? He's stealthy, fast, and has a lunge that hits through windows and pallets. What's your opinion on that?

We never officially confirmed a release date of the DLC.

True. But it's not like the speculation was uncertain or not known. Through a third party and literally the night before the speculated date was probably not the best way to announce a delay.

Remember how years ago someone said "use your Iri heads, they're going away SOON" and we are only hearing about Huntress add-on rework now? Makes sense coming from BHVR, this unclarified and kinda shady way to deal with communication and information, especially when it comes to balance changes. And then, when the change actually goes public it is small or disliked.

  • The user "bongrips4wraith" on Twitter posted a video showing the desync on 2 players with 30 ping. Something is wrong, I've been feeling it all day.

Not sure if this relates, but Doctor's animations were also desynched in 2 matches I played against one, kinda like when PH was changed, and I've played as Deathslinger and people told me to stop VPNing even tho I have 30 ping and everything was normal on my screen.

  • The new animations don't fit the "there's a killer around" vibe of the game, unless you want to ignore the lore of your own game, like you do with players, and say that the survivors are actually aware of the trials and how the entity consumes their fear and hope, and revives them and erases their memory after death.

The UI is honestly not awful, in my (very unpopular) opinion, just worse than the old one. You could have implemented the only real improvement it has, the hook counter/stages, easily in the old one. I don't remember with certainty if anyone from BHVR manifested themselves back when Hexy hosted a tournament, but it had a very similar feature designed for it and it looked pretty good with that UI.
