Play anti-tunnel and chase perks, and improve at looping. Forget the meme builds, but you can try 1-2 unusual perks that matches your playstyle. Probably you rage because you make mistakes, poor choices or rely on the mercy of the killer too much. They also want to win, so most of them won't let you finish your glyph challenge, it's stupid to expect.
Set realistic goals and try to focus only on them, and not escaping. I know it sounds bad and meaningless but it actually takes off the pressure.
I don't know how you play and how many hours you have, but let's say you make your first goal to last 15 or 20 seconds in a chase. If you succeed constantly, you can make it 5-10 secs longer.
If certain aspects of the game irritates you, change your thinking, because they won't improve it in the near future:
- Killer is tunneling me -> good, I can practice and win games for my team/go to another match faster + I can use my anti-tunnel perks to screw up the killer's game
- Killer is slugging me -> good, I can continue to watch the video I paused when the match started
When I'm on hook or being slugged as the last 2, I read articles or watch streams on Twitch and talking with people on the chat. It's bad, but you can't control that, so it's pointless to waste energy.
ALWAYS end the match on a positive vibe, think back what you did well and focus on that (you helped your teammate, finished an important gen, had a good loop, funny moment, etc). If you really can't find any positives, just think about the next one will be better.
Also try to end your game session positively. Even if you couldn't escape but had a fun match or a good play, let it be your last game. Don't wait until you get tired and a Nurse slugs all of you at 5 gens.

I’ll get hate for this but OTR is insanely overpowered. Iron Will, Distortion, and a second life that can be used after being fully healed to body block for another survivor. It’s duration should be reduced to 60 seconds.
No, bunny. Enjoy your aura builds without Distortion, it's powerful enough.

Seeing prestiges is one thing, it's bad enough itself. But killers being able to check profiles is even worse.
I took a long break, came back to finish the rift. I had a solo lobby with two P100s and EIGHT killers in a row dodged us, the 9th was a sweaty Billy way out of that MMR.
The whole lobby dodging is a joke and exactly as bad as giving up immediately as a surv. Not better by a single inch.

Agreed. I'm currently on a 3 month break and don't have any plan to come back without meaningful changes to the game. Tunneling and camping were way out of control, it's extremely boring.
And I have much more fun in other games.

Biggest BP event in the history of the game, yet I can't play more than 2 or 3 matches as they're extremely boring and repetitive. Without it, I wouldn't even bother.
After a week of not playing, I thought I give it a chance. Slugging Skull Merchant with Knock out in solo.
Who the hell enjoys this? During a BP farming event especially.
There are much better games to spend my time on.

It's not a good idea to play anything exclusively, especially a PvP game.
You would feel the same in CS, Valo, CoD and so on, they need your focus all the time and have a very intense environment.
I always played other games too, variety makes me excited. There are so many brilliant titles, I wish I'd have more time for them.
Single player and PvE games help you to relax a bit but you can get the same adrenaline. Helldivers 1-2, Phasmo, Remnant, Alien Fireteam Elite, WWZ, Spelunky - just named a few ones I love to spend my time with.
Another help would be to recalibrate your expectations. Having fun should be the no. 1 goal of your games, not winning. You'll lose a lot of time, it's normal.
Pick smaller goals and focus on them. Like shorter chases as killer, better ability usage, fun mindgames. It's up to you, but if you do the same thing over and over, of course you'll be bored.
Also, even with that many hours, you can always improve on both sides.

Most games are the same, therefore they're pretty boring. Same gameplay (rush gens before someone is tunneled out) and leave. If you're fast enough, 2-3-man escaping is pretty common even in solo but the matches themselves are repetitive. As a more experienced killer, I mostly get super meta teams with 3 Windows, 3-4 SBs and Adras, brand new parts, epic coordination, etc., but at least I can use my power to spice up my matches and have some fun.
You can't play meme or fun builds as a survivor, you can't do anything else than sitting on gens (if you're not in chase) or usually it's game over very early. Even wasting time with boons could easily mean you lose immediately. No joke, if I just open a chest, I feel like I'm throwing (and I am).
The perk overhaul was 2 years ago and it was really healthy for the game. Everyone tried the new changes, tried different combos and builds. They were still awful, we can see now, but it was a refreshing and fun period.
They promised us we get more and more changes by buffing horrible perks or changing them to be more interesting, but this didn't happen. Meanwhile the general gameplay turned to a repetitive squirrel wheel.

Two small changes that would go an extremely long way:
Show self unhook indicator on hud to everyone. Would help people know if the killer is proxy camping, and let the survivors play around the self unhook.
Ability to "ping" your own perks to have them show up on the HUD. Last gen about to pop, but not sure if you need to heal up or not? 3 adrens show up on the HUD and everyone knows what to do. Getting chased near a pallet? Your teammate pings his Background Player, and you choose to die under pallet, letting him get the save. Two people going for a save? One of them pings we'll make it, and maybe he'll get to unhook.
Literally just being able to ping and have a perk showup on HUD would be incredible. Doesn't even need to show perks in pregame lobby or anything.
Pinging your perk is an interesting idea but I don't see a way it would work properly.
Mainly because it's too much information all around. I mean, people can then easily ping their perks at any time even if it has nothing to do with the actual situation. If all 4 of them ping something it's gonna be a total chaos, not to mention if they do it constantly. Sounds irritating and absolutely distracting.
Staying on this concept though, I'd go for a much cleaner idea:
1, everything stays the same in the lobby, you don't see anybody else's perk to avoid dodging
2, once you load into the game, you see the players' builds on the HUD as small icons, next to their character:
- currently not active or usable perks are transparent
- active or usable perks are showed normally, if something becomes active it "lights up" (examples: We'll make it, Unbreakable, Deliverance, etc.)
- if a perk cannot be used anymore, it either turns transparent again or changes to black and white to make it obvious (examples: Unbreakable, Appraisal, Plot Twist, Dead Hard, etc.)
Not saying it's perfect, but much less disturbing, yet it'd give meaningful information to solo players, having a chance for better cooperation.
Also, the tunneling issue is too big. It's really awfully bad that makes most of the matches extremely boring, repetitive and predictable.
You can't solve it with a perk or some weak, band-aid changes. You have to drill really deep to understand the root of why it's so popular and find a solution to make players feel like 1, it's not necessary, 2, they're punished if they do it 3, they can still win without it.
Easier said than done, certainly this is the biggest challenge the devs have. It doesn't matter if a game planned to be competitive or not, it has to be fun first. Dying in minutes, not having a chance to play and getting 5k points as a survivor are everything but fun.
And we didn't even touch the matchmaking problems yet.
