Couple things you should know. Matchmaking is horrible (they know) and unfortunately they probably waited for a while and you were there. 2) they left early because your terror radius gives you away. 3)Instead of getting salty about going against rank 1s learn from it and get better at the game because that probably the least toxic match you can get in those circumstances

The thing you have to understand about Dbd is that it’s not created to be a competitive game, it’s a leisure game to be enjoyed at your convenience so ranks kinda don’t matter. They honestly just serve to show how long a persons played the game and their skill level. The only way to fix matchmaking would be to lock you into a certain block in reference to your ranks where you don’t face killers or survivors one color rank above or below you which would mean queue times that could reach hours. Unfortunately I doubt something like that will happen.

This entirely depends on the killer and the player. I went up against some survivors who, judging from their ranks new how to play the game and get gens done. To their disadvantage I was running surveillance so as gens regressed with ruin I knew where they were when they went to work on it. A killer with no ruin is screwed but while ruin is active its a powerful tool with the right perks to accompany it. I ended that game with three kills and one hatch escape so I wouldn't take that thought to heavily.

Those are some salty survivors. I only get tilted when killers camp. I expect to get tunneled while running object of obsession. I expect to get killed a lot but I also want to loop better so I do it on purpose. I’m safety pip or rank up so I’m good. Keep playing whoever you want. They just don’t know how to play against them and they definitely take the game way too seriously

Playing killer is all about applying pressure. You can 4K a SWF with the right amount of pressure no matter how much they talk in discord. There is usually one person who purposely takes agro and screws you over and everyone escapes or one person dies. The games is fine where it is at the moment. Hit boxes are the real issue right now

The chat isnt the only issue being discussed here. Matchmaking being all over the place is the main issue being brought up. Being put into a squad of grey ranks instead of the red ranks you SHOULD have against a red rank killer...sucks. I dont have control of that and I'm pretty screwed before the game even starts. On the opposite side as killer, being matched against survivors who have no business being in the same lobby as you also sucks, whether that being placed against survivors much higher OR much lower rank than you.
A top 500 rank player being randomly placed in a silver rank game on Overwatch wouldnt fly if it was the norm, even if they took away the chat. For some reason...thats the norm on DBD. The matchmaking system is completely failing at placing people in lobbys with others of appropriate ranks. I can only hope it gets fixed soon.
I understand matchmaking is also being discussed but we can’t do anything about that. If they would bring back ranks in lobby until they fix the issue that would help but the one thing he can control in this situation is not having to see people act like a holes because they went against a low rank killer or a killer having an off day.

There’s this great feature I use when I play killer that hides the chat. No matter what you will have salty survivors so just hide the chat and move on. The devs are not responsible for what other players do and they also can’t control the fact that someone in the party brings their friend or not enough proprerly ranked people. Dead by Daylight is full of toxic trolls who sit in their basement or their moms house bullying people on a keyboard and sadly that won’t change

It’s dead by daylight what else do you expect.

Matchmaking should be based on colors. Red ranks match with purple. Purple can match with red and green. Green matches with purple and gold with gold and white matching with each other. It’s not fair or fun for a red rank survivor to get stuck with a newbie and a killer who’s rank 7. It’s also not fair to the newbie to be thrown in with experienced survivors. The devs talked about the health of the game and this is one way to kill it. Hopefully the next update will fix this. I still think we should be able to see ranks as well

To be honest the removing or ranks really doesn’t change anything. If I enter a lobby with two or three people already there who obviously look like a swf I leave. Killer bring out all the add ons to kill everybody such as a EM so I leave. If the person is in the chat asking about challenges they need done and asking everyone to do this I leave. Bring back seeing ranks because I’m sick of being a rank 4 survivor and at the end of the game there a lowly rank 16 or 20 who died first in two minutes and couldn’t hit a hex check to save their life. The game is slowly getting less fun. Campers are now rewarded even more with the dc penalty and with the bootleg matchmaking
