    •Tier 1 speed increased to 4.6 m/s

  • I solo queue almost all the time, and don't often have a problem, so I'm not sure where all the hate for solo is coming from. Most teammates have decent skill or better, with conversely very few McCain's Oven Chips. I don't always escape, but we often do well in blood points and enjoy the game.

For those hating on solo, I can only assume (in order of likelihood and based on my experience, which I'll grant you is a sample of one person):

    1. You actually don't fail miserably in solo as often as you think, but it's natural instinct to remember the negatives more than the positives. "I distinctly remember the bad times" thus translates to "there were only bad times". I say that as a fellow human being who does the same thing all the time.
    2. You've got VERY unlucky game after game. Never buy a lottery ticket.
    3. Your definition of what is "bad" needs a review. If you die, regardless of the game you had, is that "bad"? If a teammate doesn't rush over to save you with military precision (almost as if they can't hear you shouting over discord that the killer has definitely gone), is that "bad"?
    4. You're not telling the truth (I hope it's not this)
  • Looks like there's space for me to stick my oar in here!

Camping is bad unless all gens are done and 3+ survivors alive (or, let's be honest, that particular survivor was a massive cock)

Tunneling is bad with ~S grade killers, or vs inexperienced teams, or if you're doing well without it

Tunneling is fine (and often necessary) with killers below S/high A grade against skilled players

Not against the rules, but a bit dickish in some circumstances.

    (In my opinion!)

  • Don't you dare touch Hawkins. Since the game rework I only really have Hawkins and lery's for my SM myers!

  • I've heard of doors hitting people on the way out, I wasn't aware they were now kicking people instead!

Wood, ah, uh, finds a way.

Can you camping killers make up your minds, is camping some easily avoidable thing that survivors can easily beat or something necessary for killers as the only way to win. It can't be both.

And then stop whatever you decide dont post jt here because this discussion isn't about that. Ots about how the devs can change the mechanics

There are so many things I want to say to this.

But I'll stick to just: What? :p

  • Unfortunately, until they implement some sort of gen repair speed nerf the higher your rank, tunneling is a viable and fair (for the killer) strategy for most killers.

A good number of killers don't have the mobility or the power against better survivors to down fast enough and keep people off gens enough to get a spread of hooks before the gates pop. You NEED to have someone taken out ASAP so you have a chance at actually stopping the genrush and balance things out. Unfortunate for that person being tunneled, but that's how the game is set up at the moment.

A fair killer should gauge by the first or second hook what sort of team they're up against. No gens have popped? Spread the hooks. Obvious new person moves? Spread the hooks. 2 gens popped by 1st hook? Sorry, someone needs tunneling out.

Spirit/Nurse/possibly Freddy no excuse for tunneling though really if you know your stuff.

Facecamping, except at EGC, isn't fair though... However if they do it just do gens for god's sake! Punish them or they'll keep doing it!

  • I'd agree with changing so a strike temporarily stuns from a non-escape related action. If someone lobbed a dagger at me whilst I was fixing something I'd be a bit taken aback and lose focus for a moment!

What is the point of the basement in the game? It feels like is an easy way to win the game without a decent gameplay. All you need to do is catch one person, get some perks like agitation, iron grasp, etc. and drag the person to the basement. Then just count on altruism of other survivors. From my perspective it's boring and unfair aspect of the game. Literally rewards the killer for camping the basement. There's no reason to keep it still in the game, since the "sabotage" is already changed.

My homeowner Myers earned that basement. Keep your filthy hands off!

  • You guys are using him to stalk? Lol.

Im a bit out of the loob, but arent there cases where screaming survivors ( just got zapped) can still vault etc?

There is a split second window. Not sure if it's deliberate or a sync issue between the killer and survivor though.

  • He's very good if you know what to do and learn exactly when to shock people, and quite often even against a swf i get 4k, however:

    1. You do have to tunnel higher class groups sadly (or not sadly when they're cu*ts). The whole point of getting a t3 from a chase is so you always know exactly where they are. Get them out fast and you're set. Unfortunate for the person, but the game is what the game is. Eat a DS or two if need be, don't worry you'll catch them again unless you made the mistake of chasing the designated bait.

    2. Got to have the right addons and perks. My usual build works fantastic for most games (except for real bad luck on totem placement). Wish they hadn't reduced the timer on pop...

    3. A gen was being worked on, but your blast shows nothing? Yeah... Check the nearest two lockers and prepare for salt.

    4. All the other generic tips about when to chase or not take the bait.

He's never gonna be top tier unfortunately, but he's my favourite little happy killer.

  • If someone wants to sacrifice their points with a DC to give someone a hatch then they can have at it. Hatch is fine.

  • The only one I don't like is spine chill. All the rest I can see their fair use and/or and work around, but spine chill is just giving away too much info (plus it makes my spooky Myers sad :( )

I say this as someone who uses it on most survivor runs. It's far too useful for knowing when to slink away, when to burst off an unhook, when to start running and baiting from afar, when to play a violin for the poor stealth killer who is now out of a job.

  • I'd love to see their ranks as a killer so I know how sweaty to be. I feel bad powering out a group of 15's, mainly because I remember that from when I first started, but not gonna take the risk of going easy when I'm more likely to face 1-8 and get my soft ass served to me.

Unfortunately though, I can 100% see why this can never be implemented =/.

  • Killers below S tier against swf or competent solo have to tunnel at the start to varying degrees, or you'll be walked all over and get few points and kills.

With my doc if they're clearly a SWF or get a gen before first hook someone needs tunneling out (though I'd argue that's sort of the point of doc with the shock flavoured ice scream). If they don't get a gen then ease off and see how it goes.

Once down to three spread the love unless sweaty SWF or top tier solo's, in which case let's see how those looping skills hold up against choo choo time you body bobbing flash lighting f***ers ;).

Honestly if there wasn't such toxicity I'd be much friendlier. They really need to let the killer see a player's rank band, as I'd be much fairer on below 6's.

  • No need to avoid toxic SWF's, just identify the weakest surviving member and tunnel them to oblivion. Then rinse and repeat and enjoy any end game salt :).

If they beckon you or disco-flash, they're the designated looper wiv dem phat ass skillz. Do not chase.

If they appear and take a hit mid chase (not a saving hit, just a random one) that's bait by the team looper. You're not a fish, do not take the bait! Pursue the other poor bastard until he receives the sweet release of death.

The biggest problem is that Map Offerings are more rare than any Add-On on Myers. IMO Scratched Mirror does not really work on The Game or Hawkins, so you only got Lerys and maybe Midwich. And hard to get those Offerings.

Works perfectly fine on Hawkins, second only to Lery's. The game used to be excellent, but it's not quite as good now.

Midwich has too many long rooms with no LoS breakers for sneaking during a loop. Worth a punt if you've got a lot of scratched mirrors, but otherwise not worth the risk.

I just started trying Spooky Myers. Unfortunately I never have too many map offerings.

    2 questions!

    1. Should I plan for Spooky Myers even without a map offering?

    2. Is Vanity Myers worthwhile? Its only 16m, but tier 2 is faster. Maybe a build like the following;

    Corrupt Intervention

    PWYF

    M&A

    NOED

M&A helps you to see survivors before they hear your TR. Im new to Myers and only Rank 15, so bear with me lol

Unless you're low rank, I wouldn't bother running SM Myers unless you have map offerings, specifically (in this order): Lery's, Hawkins, The Game (though it's a lot more of a challenge with the revamp), and if you're feeling risky Midwich (though I don't bother unless I'm feeling masochistic; too many long rooms with no decent LoS breaking).

At low rank you can get away with it more as the survivors are a bit more green. I've had some good maps on Mother's Dwelling and ToP.

Do not bother with vanity mirror imho. You lose the last minute element of surprise, and you lose the best route planning, for a pointless speed boost. Though I must admit I've only tried it a limited number of times.

Spooky Myers is one of my favourite builds, but only with a map offering.

  • Thats a shame, because it would put the pile of useless crap to good use.

16 webs without king, and counting. *sigh*

  • Why would defending your house and property from trespassers and thieves incur some sort of penalty?

Addendum 3.17 in the Entity Property Charter states "Unauthorized entry to a residential domicile shall render the entrant outside of any other protection under law, and the owner can remove said entrant through means up to and including deadly force".

I've got that pinned to the wall of my Homeowner Myers house. Damned kids keep coming in and messing with my stuff! They even emptied my chest once, but I made them regret that...

  • If they're incredibly toxic:

Step 1: Try to identify the weakest surviving person fast

Step 2: Tunnel them to oblivion ASAP. Don't camp (or they won't go unhook straight off and burst gens), but stay near enough to activate choo choo mode fast.

Step 2a: Try to position yourself opposite an area of broken pallets, to encourage them to run that way. No pallets = quicker death.

Step 3: Repeat steps 1 and 2 until complete

Step 4: Enjoy the salt at the end

  • Cheers for the tips guys, I do want to enjoy this game and I loved it at about rank 12 where it was a nice mixture of wins and losses (almost all of which I felt were fair). Just frustrating now that even when I do outskill the one target it seems irrelevant as the others just plough through the gens. I'll keep at it and try and work through the frustration for now and improve the chase, I can just see me getting fed up of it before that occurs =/.
