So I just got done playing a clown game on Lery’s, there was a streamer that gave up on first hook. Long story short I go into his stream after the match and say GG and he gets all mad because I used franklins on clown and he was talking about how he’s a brainless killer and he’s easy if you’re a bad killer.

But I think to myself why do people like this screw over their teammates all because you went against a killer you don’t like especially if you’re a streamer like thats gross behavior. I’ve always been polite and respectful to my opponents because listen at the end of the day this is just a game.

Then again you could have told him something more than just GG. Saying GG sometimes just sounds as a gg ez that you say just because you won. Sometimes I stream too and the killer enters in my chat and usually they are very nice to me and we become friends and I don't mind that I got killed. If they say GG I might just say GG back but it doesn't create any proper conversation

Sometimes, both exit gates spawn almost next to each other. As a survivor, how is it possible to escape in this situation? Sometimes the gates are so incredibly close together, that the killer has a clear line of sight of both and can walk to either in about 10 seconds.

Unfortunately I don't have any photo evidence so you're just gonna have to take my word, but one time I was in a match and both gates spawned DIRECTLY next to each other. They were literally touching. As you can imagine there was absolutely nothing I could do and so the killer hooked me.

The gates should never be able to spawn on the same side of the map.

If the exit gates were both literally touching each other that's a bug. And I have never seen that happening at all. However exit gates beeing very close to each other is a common thing. There is things you can try to do to avoid getting killed but it depends on how close gates are. Also the killer might have some perk to reveal your location and know which gate you are at, or like trapper can trap gates and get a notification when you disarm them. Hillibilly can easily reach both gates even if they are far from each other unless there is obstacles. But it's still typically easier for him to patrol gates. Things you can do is open the gate just up to 24%. Because at 25% it already appears the first red light on the gate switch and the killer will know you are there. Wait for the killer to come and then when he leaves proceed to fully open. But if the gates are really close you have very low chances for that to work unfortunately. There is perks to open gates faster but they are not worth using just because of that. Keep in mind that killers also find gates spawning too far unfair as they have no chance to get there in time before you escape and that encourages slugging for the 4k, unlike people saying that they do it because of the blood points bonus. I think gates should spawn always not too far and not too close from each other but like I said there is killer powers, perks etc that can make end game completely different and if we make gates spawn even closer than they are it's gonna be even easier for hillibilly to patrol them and even easier for trapper to trap them both. And if gates are too far it's not fair for most killers, so I don't see how to fix the problem other than creating some new game mechanic we have never seen before

I think there's an argument that you shouldn't be able to do either. Being able to ######### on the ground could easily be abused by SWF if blueprints are burned and survs know where the hatch is going to spawn. Hatch isn't a big deal, but being able to dictate when it spawns is just kind of a gimme.

I think basekit UB with a longer timer would be the best solution to slugging.

I know killing yourself could be abused. On my first comment about this post I was suggesting to be able to do this only if you have been slugged for at least 90 seconds. Basekit ub with longer timer maybe, but the killer can camp you while in the ground and hit you when you get up and at that point if the killer slugs everyone he looses the slug utility by a lot and if he is just beeing mean to the survivor you are just prolonging the game for nothing so it needs soul guard too basekit then. It's too complicated

When the killer slugs for the 4k, I roll my eyes. I then proceed to crawl into a corner or as far away from the slug point so they waste more time trying to find me. You need it so bad? Work harder for it. Plus it gives me a little side quest so I'm not bored out of my mind. We both would have been on to next match if you killed me already. I'm petty

I think a lot of people in here are misunderstanding. If the killer has to slug for whatever reason I think it's ok to do so. But if the survivor is beeing slugged for too long he should be allowed to kill himself. That's it. I experienced this as a killer and as a survivor and I know how boring it is. We can kill ourselves on the hook so why not while in the ground too?

lately, the absolute worst games of dbd have been games that end up in a 2v1 situation.

after two survivors are dead, and you have two survivors alive with a killer. all three people in this situation want to win, so what is the best option for each?

for the survivors, it's to wait for your teammate to die. for the killer, it's to keep patrolling the generators to make sure they don't get done.

the objective of the survivor team has changed, and now the killer has no information and almost no relevance to the actual game at hand any more. the killer has nothing to do and no information to act upon unless they either have a perk to help them or one of the survivors gives up.

and then, when one of the survivors actually is downed… well, if you kill that survivor, the hatch will spawn and the last one might get out. so for as long as there is one survivor on the floor, the remaining survivor and the killer are playing the same game: hide and seek. except there's someone on the floor, having been taken hostage.

a lot of developer time was spent dealing with things like camping and tunnelling. but when will the developers start considering the problem of the 2v1 situation? when the priorities of the survivors shift, and the game becomes extremely boring?

what would you do to address this, if you were a developer?

i think i would make it so that, in the 2v1 situation, the survivors start to build up idle crows any time they aren't on a generator, and putting one of the survivors into the dying state immediately triggers the mori animation on that survivor.

i would then adjust all achievements and archives that require 4 kills to only require 3 kills.

no more hide and seek, please. no more slugging for the 4k, please. i want to play the video game and i cannot stand it when i am taken hostage by survivors that don't want to show themselves, or by killers that don't want to give up their 4k.

If survivors are hiding and doing nothing in that case I would suggest probably make it so crows show up like 50% faster so at least people are forced to eventually at least walk away whatever hiding spot they are camping. For the survivors let's say that there is 2 survivors left and say still 2 gens left. Or even 3 survivors left because one person died at the start of the game. I would give survivors extra 20% repairing speed and make it so the person on the hook can stay on the hook 10 seconds longer or something like that. If a survivor dies early game the killer usually wins and what ends up happening is one survivor will be on a gen, one gets chased and the other one is already on the hook doing nothing. If the killer downs the other survivor the one survivor on gen has to stop repairing and go to save the person on the hook and there is no time to do gens anymore. Not that these changes would make much difference but it's just an example like give survivors something in 3v1 or 2v1 scenarios

I always slug for the 4K when it is down to two people. Survivors get their big bonus just for escaping as individuals. The Killer only gets it if he kills ALL four. Why don't we change that big bonus at the end to Survivors only getting it if all four escape? ;)

Well it's easier for the killer to kill one or 2 survivors at least than it is for all survivors to escape. From the other hand as a survivor chances are that you might die but someone else escapes. Plus I don't think anyone slugs for the blood points bonus. They never did, especially nowadays where blood points are so easy to gain. Killers slug just to kill everyone, not for blood points. And even in the past when blood points where more difficult to gain most killers would run bbq and actually hook people. I think killers just slug for the 4k just to kill everyone and that's it

  • I think survivors should be allowed to kill themselves if slugged for too long. Let's say that the killer slugs you for 4 minutes, right? So I think after let's say 90 seconds you should be allowed to #########. And if no one has unbreakable or they already used it and everyone is currently beeing slugged they should be allowed to bleed out instantly. It's boring for survivors to be slugged for 4 minutes. It's boring for the killer to have to wait until everyone dies…less people would dc as well. And it doesn't hurt anyone. You are gonna die anyway. Just this way you can die faster and it's less frustrating for everyone. And 90 seconds is a lot of time for busy survivors to pick you up that to be honest if no one picks you up even in 60 seconds they are already demonstrating to be incompetent and you shouldn't be forced to keep playing. Unless they don't pick you up because the killer is on top if you and they don't wanna end up like you in the ground. In that case we'll you should still have the option to choose if you wanna die as you have it in the hook
