Dead By Daylight is a PvP game; which by definition is competitive: One side: Survivors faces the other side: Killer and they battle it out for victory. This is not an e-sports game, but that isn't the definition of competitive! Our goals are literally to prevent the other side to achieve theirs: Escape and Kill. We face each other and compete to see who wins and who loses.

If the game is not competitive why would it matter if they play the game well or not? Whether they are throwing the game to get a 1k, max a 2k? The argument of it being casual falls flat here, because if it is that casual as you claim why are you upset that someone is playing the game how they want. Also, if they are that bad how are they 'easily' tunneling someone out of the game and not being looped for 5 gens.

I bet you will come back with, but it isn't fun for me... however it is not competitive, there isn't a reason to try and win so you losing shouldn't be an issue. Just sit on gens or have the chase and move on. According to most people the chase is the best part so you should enjoy being tunneled and if camped, just give up why try and survive.

You are whining that NOED increases your MMR, yet nearly all good/meta perks do just that. Use DS... it saved you from the hook and got you an escape in late game. Used BT... it gave you a speed burst to reach that escape gate. If you reach the level where you get destroyed your MMR will drop again and it evens itself out anyway as that is the whole point of the system.

DS or BT save in egc are so rare compared to how easy noed is to use and how easy it impacts your elo due to just kills meaning anything. You can't argue against the fact that it secures atleast 1 kill a game, most of the time 2, meaning in long term you will just gain elo, unless you are the worst player in the world.

It ain't fun to bully players like those who literally have no idea how to loop decently or just make pressure around the game, the only thing you can do is sit on gens, when the most fun part of the game is the chase but i guess he tunnels 1 guy for 4 gens.

People tend to play games and try to win?

This argument is so bad, why do you want to be competitive in a pvp game... because it is a PVP game, we don't play it to lose and the fact that at higher MMR it is broken... showcases that you complaining is clearly a L2P issue, as you are playing the broken side by your own logic.

Complaining about NOED increasing MMR? Because Dead Hard, DS, BT, PTS, UB and boon totems, etc. don't do the exact same thing for survivors? Perks are to be used and to help you out in order to try and be competitive. You act like Killers don't see the same handful of perks on survivors.

What competitive game? DBD? Hell na, not even close to being a competitive game. Also i didn't say noed is op or something, i just see a lot of bad killer that can't run a tile properly as killer and can easily tunnel 1 person for 3-4 gens only to lose the game for no reason.

Yes, noed inflates elo and guess what if you run it because the survivors destroy you, you probably shoudn't use it in order to gain elo because you will have less fun being destroyed by even better survivors.

It feels like the only way to stay competitive.

Stay competitive for what reason? To then come on forum and cry about how broken survivors are at high elo? Literally 1/2 of ppl at high elo use noed and have inflated elo because of that; also most of them tunnel 1 person for a few gens and then lose the game if the survivors arent dumb and just do the gens when the killer has 0 preassure.

That'd be nice but swf would abuse it.

If you are not on the same group with the one who dced, you can dc for free. Otherwise, you can dc but get a penalty.

  • @Labrac said:

Not unplayable, but it has become unfairly hard for killer and easy for survivor since SBMM. Even solo queue which used to be a nightmare on the old system is now a breeze to play through and escape because I mostly get competent teammates, meanwhile killer feels like a war to get a 2k.

At night for me is potato city, people dcing left and right, killing themselves on hook and so on.

  • I'm pretty sure the dc penalties are back or i just got lucky because in 2 hours no1 dced.

My answer to this is more complicated than a simple extreme-ends binary yes/no.

I do think that, of all the character build options available in the game, keys and moris are the most pernicious because they completely move the goalposts of the game, in ways that other build options do not.

A mori means that at least one survivor "life" is flat-out removed from the game. In my (anecdotal) experience, a mori usually winds up being a red one, and that removes four survivor "lives," reducing them by a full third (from 12 total to 8 total). This would be the rough numerical equivalent of telling the killer that survivors only have to repair 3 generators + the exit gate (if we're counting the exit gate as a sixth objective).

A red or purple key means that at least one survivor has a decent chance of finding the hatch early and orchestrating an escape that the killer cannot reliably play around. I believe that the key is less of a problem than the mori, since it can potentially be lost and it is subject to some measure of luck, but it also (mostly) rewards poor play, because a key-based exit is usually most likely only after multiple survivors die.

Dead by Daylight is -- by nature of its 146 perks, 19 killer powers, 18+ survivor items, 71 offerings, and god knows how many add-ons, all multiplied by 5 players, plus 34 maps -- a giant roulette wheel in every individual match. There's a lot of randomness to it, and some of the options are going to be harder to deal with than others, depending on the combinations that you get. But there is nothing that circumvents the game's internal rules and objectives as directly as these do.

Moris could be fixed overnight by limiting their use to only dead-on-hook survivors; it would essentially save the killer the trouble of hooking them a third time. I dunno how you fix keys, though.

About the moris i don't think that you ''take 1 hook off of everyone in their current stage''. Most killers that have mori hook someone, patrol near the hook so someone comes to save the person on hook and after that you get moried without the chance of using decisive strike because they don t pink you up which is unfair so you practicly get hooked once and then downed.

  • @MiniPisa said:

LOL this poll tho. I didn't wanna pick the top one purely by how it's written.

Well if you don't enjoy to play against them at the worst times (being hooked, then farmed by one temmate and after that you are out of the game) or as killer 1 gen left and 3 ppl escape with 1 key, then you shouldn't pick the 1st option.

  • I played him and i feel like he is too strong, being 115 ms and being able to kill you from range is too strong.

  • As a survivor main, that when plays killer (red rank killer) is playing either trapper/freddy/spirit it's pretty funny to see how ppl consider spirit being balanced LOL.

Saying the chases are 50/50 is dumb af, it would be 50/50 if there wouldn't be any audio but since there is audio there is more probably a 75/25 (and even more when they dont have iron will/ you have stridor) to get the hit. I won't go in details about this, but just making so you know when she is phasing or not is the way to her fun to play against. At this point i prefer to go against any other killer, even facecamp leatherface instead of playing against rin.

  • @Eleghost said:

That is mostly false. While SWF does give you an advantage with comms it doesn't give you skill. Someone who is good at the game will give you a hard time regardless of swf. Simply saying SWF gives godlike skills is an exaggeration. It doesn't make you good it just gives you some knowledge. If you are getting destroyed by survivors without 2 kills or more you are doing something wrong on your end.

The only skill needed is to loop the killer which is not very hard, after the 1st gen is done the detective perk finds the ruin and they dont even need to be good at hitting great skill checks.

Complaining about detective's hunch now? Why?

Because it is toxic for swf one guy brings that and a map, one brings ooo and thats the game if they are red ranks and they dont ######### up very hard.

i just had a Ghostface game versus a SWF where one had OoO.

i literally could not use my power the entire round.

and hey, to top it all off i had exactly 2 perks (Enduring 1 and Sloppy Butcher 1) and the OoO guy was a teabagger with an instaheal.

    i had no fun.

honestly, OoO should do something else than being a "hey look at me! haha cant catch me, noob!" perk. just spawning and seeing one survivor highlighted pretty much makes me want to just quit and play a new game - especially if i play Trapper (Trapper main, i play him a lot).

also, ever since i recently hit red ranks i found that i eigther get to play on Haddonfield, Springwood or someone brings OoO. i can count the rounds where none of these applied on one hand and i am so annoyed by those games right now .-.

sorry for the little rant, i just come from another Springwood game (my 5th in 2 days i think) and before that i had the GF game.

I'm also a trapper player and when i see OoO i play for 30 seconds and if i can t find someone i just quit. At this point my power becomes useless and i m just a m1 killer without any ability.

  • @Hoodied said:

Yeah you are also punishing yourself with the perk too

Yes but if he is premade with atleast 1 guy, then 2 ppl know your location and so on for a full swf.

And also what if you punish yourself by a bit? Maybe the killer doesnt look on your location and he doesnt see you but you see him which is a huge information. Also if you see 25% of the survivors but he sees 100% of the killer team, it s a huge advantage.

  • @Pulsar said:

The devs said they are working on it. Take a break until it's fixed if you can't handle it. Not trying to be rude or mean, if it's screwing you over, just wait until it gets fixed.

I don t have a problem with more skilled players but as i saw 80% of them are BMers that just T bag and pop the flashlight on and off if they see you are a begginer which is pure garbage (if i camp them after the gates are open, comment on profile with -rep CAMPER/TRASH KILLER and it happen only with the higher ranks since they are tryhard af and they think all the time all 4 survivors should escape).
