  In one of the Q&A's someone asked what Vigo's gender is. The devs responded with: ""Who knows?" "I don't." Could this be because Vigo is in their mother's womb? This could be the case because time is "wobbly" in the Realm so it is conceivable that it doesn't line up with our earth timeline.   The developers have alluded to the possibility that survivors could somehow escape the realm. This could be somehow linked to Vigo as he/she is speculated to be the creator of the hatch. • What are the Golden Toolboxes?

  I have a theory regarding what's in the golden toolboxes hidden around the maps. I think that each of those toolboxes may contain a gear-sphere. The gear-sphere is a survivor made object that is buried deep in the lore. It symbolizes hope and is speculated to be a way to escape The Entity's realm.
