I've now seen hundreds of comments, forum posts, videos, and screenshots about how terrible the new auras are on 4.1.0. I noticed it myself last night that DBD shot itself in the foot with the new aura system for one simple reason: it makes the game require MORE acuity, intense concentration, and makes the game simply harder and less fun to play. I've been a rank 1 killer and never used ruin. I've been a rank 1 survivor and every time the killer has ruin there's this feeling of having to do a chore and put the fun on pause while I literally scour the entire freakin map looking for one tiny one-foot tall totem.
