So, in my four years of Dead by Daylight experience, it's usually a good time to take a break when you see this phrase: Engine Update. Historically, engine updates include more bugs than others. Typically, this means that multiple bug fix patches will be required to identify and address them all. If you're experiencing burnout or you're considering touc4 comments 81 views last activity

In Patch 4.0.0 the Cage(s) of Atonement were added to the game via the new Killer (The Executioner). In Patch 4.0.2 the Cage(s) of Atonement received the following changes: Removed the ability for The Executioner to see the aura of the Cage of Atonement and survivors inside them. Added a system that will de14 comments 851 views last activity

This is the most blatant cheating I've ever seen in my 4700+ hours of playing Dead by Daylight. The "player" playing as The Trapper was able to use more than four perks. Also, you can see that the score The Trapper received is abnormal. I counted Sloppy Butcher, Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain, Scourge Hook: Pain5 comments 221 views last activity

Introduction I'll begin with a rudimentary analysis of the Tomes. Survivor challenges are more varied because the number of possible interactions is much higher. (Within Terror Radius, Escape Chase, Escape, Unhook, Stun, Cleanse, Repair, Protection Hit, Heal, Deplete Items, Drop Pallets, Cooperative Actions, Fall, Open Chests, etc.) Killer challenges are less varied because the number of possi4 comments 231 views last activity

Cross-Play seemed like a great way to bring the community together and forge new friendships , right? (Well... maybe we were wrong.) Players on different platforms can't even communicate with each other beyond invitational pop ups. (Accept my invite, *****! Oops. I mean... accept my Friend Request, *****!) Survivor queue times are noticeably longer because the ratio of survivors to killers is28 comments 231 views last activity

I can't figure out why the survivor queues have been steadily increasing. There's no way... There's just no way there are less Killers playing in the strongest Killer meta of all time (Hex: Ruin, Hex: Undying, Tinkerer). C'mon peeps!13 comments 251 views last activity

For the better parts of 2018 and 2019 I experienced very few errors. Ever since the release of "The Oni", this game has been throwing out errors like candy after Valentine's Day, Easter and Halloween. What happened? Why do we need to verify file integrity one minute after downloading the latest patch? Why is EAC failing to substantiate? Are we at risk of being banned because of faulty patches and1 comments 31 views last activity

Is it possible or even likely that we may see a time extension for the current Rift that is connected to Tome IV? When I was struggling to find a reason to keep playing, Rifts were announced. The idea of completing Tome Challenges, in the hopes of reaching Tier 70, presented me with a goal I was previously lacking. (I had already finished the Bloodpoint grind. I had all of the Perks on the chara28 comments 531 views last activity

Since the beginning of May, many Huntress players having been camping quite a bit. It's just an observation. I find it rather amusing and I thought I'd share. Perhaps they are struggling or practicing for the Rift. ๐0 comments 31 views last activity

Understandably, a lot of topics of the forums tend to consist of folks clamoring for a more enjoyable and balanced experience while playing the game. Topics include: Killers are too strong or weak, maps are too large or small, or perks are too good or niche. People compare these things all the time. Let's talk little a bit about why "meta" or "viable" Killers are so easily identified and popular.31 comments 401 views last activity

Did anything ever come of the Vanilla Experiment? Was there ever any confirmation that this could/would be a new game mode? I'd love to play a game mode without Perks, Items, and Add-ons.1 comments 41 views last activity

Hey guys! ๐ I'm sure I'm not the only one out there grinding Trials to unlock the new items in the Rift. I decided to try something new. I wanted to spice things up since I recently hit 2000hrs+ play time. I decided I was going to start loosely tracking my opponent's (Killer's) behavior and/or choices. If I'm being honest, I think I've ruined my Rift grinding experience by keeping track of my6 comments 61 views last activity

Patch 3.2.1 was released on September 23, 2019. This is the patch that forced anti-aliasing. "Enabled Temporal Anti-Aliasing in Low settings. This will reduce most artifacts along object edges, and improve the hair's visual quality." I don't even know where to start with some of you, but I've got to start somewhere. Where are you getting this information regarding recently forced anti-aliasi2 comments 41 views last activity

For me, the Memento Mori Kill sequences are some of the greatest tributes Dead by Daylight has made to the Horror genre. As a quick reminder, the Cypress Memento Mori allows the Killer to Kill the last Survivor instead of Sacrificing them. In my opinion, allowing the Killer to perform a Memento Mori Kill on the last Survivor wouldn't have an impact on win or loss ratios. To accomplish this, the C23 comments 391 views last activity

Greetings! This may be long enough to include a TLDR. I'll leave the TLDR at the bottom. I have a few ideas concerning our beloved Memento Mori. I think these changes have the potential to bring more joy and satisfaction into Dead by Daylight. It is my hope that these changes could combat some of the negative association that comes with using a Memento Mori. Overall, I think these changes wil16 comments 488 views last activity

For balance purposes, I hope that a future Survivor Perk will be allowed to directly counter the Exposed Status Effect. The Exposed Status Effect reads: "The Survivor is in peril and can be downed in one hit." There aren't any survivor Perks that mention the Exposed Status Effect within their text description. I often wonder why the Exposed Status Effect has no survivor Perks that can directly76 comments 2,204 views last activity

Revised Version 1.1 I'd like to suggest a feature, or in this case, the removal of a feature that could help change player behavior. Everyone can see the hook timers or hook progression for hooked survivors. I suggest removing hook timers from everyone's view. I think it's unfair to survivors that a killer could prevent them from being unhooked moments before a phase transition (ie, Struggle P48 comments 422 views last activity

Items and Add-ons I was going to start by suggesting an entirely new game mode i.e., Survive With Friends and Kill Your Friends. This new game mode would be devoid of items and add-ons. I've since reevaluated my position. Creating such a mode would remove tons of work and creativity from the game. I've been thinking it over and I've settled on a new but less gutted experience.
