  • It is a universally accepted truth that SWF with 3rd party communications break game balance. This has been settled in the years since SWF was implemented to prevent survivors from lobby dodging to match up with their friends. Unfortunately, SWF provides teamed up survivors with massive amounts of free information. This results in: SWF survivors having the equivalent of aura reading on their t

  • The board is just a field of red posts closed by Mandy. Are we in the business of censoring posts just because they're discussing the same thing...? How does that help community relations? Honestly, BHVR has dropped the ball so much recently: the new chapter, the patch fix, the event, and community relations all the way. We deserve better interaction and communication as a community.

  • Let's start by accepting the good: everything in this update looks pretty. The RCPD map is gorgeous (even if it's nearly impossible to navigate for the average player). The skins look great, and the Trapper's new look is awesome. The design team is, and always has been, great at their job. Unfortunately, they're the only team that is doing a decent job in my opinion. This patch had some signifi

  • I know the official Discord has channels for SWF. I know the devs have no intention of balancing the game around SWF and buffing solo survivor/killer. But it’s annoying to face hit squads. And the more that people go into games with keys or an organized team, the less killers they’ll have. Survivor queues are already getting pretty darn long. Something’s gotta give. Until then, I’m just playi

  • I had a squad of SWF players run me around and Head On me one after the other tonight. Unfortunately for me, they were very coordinated with their locker timing. Fortunately for me, they were also overly altruistic and didn't know how to look on the ground for bear traps. All it took was downing one of them, hooking them, and surrounding the area with traps. And they ended up running into them.

  • What's your favorite AFK build for the memes? I like AFK Basement Deathslinger. I get to just relax all game until the final gen pops and the survivors come into the basement to greed. Then, it's NOED and Bloodwarden all the way. I also like "Friendly" Ghostface. Pretending that everything's innocuous farming and stalking the survivors while the complete gens only to down them at the end with N

  • SFW. Specifically, SWF on comms. As someone who enjoys playing Ghostface quite a lot (especially DH Ghostface), SWF ruins the killer experience for me. Survivors know that I'm coming before I've even fully left where I was, and by the time I get where I'm going another gen has gone off behind me. I can deal with Brand New Parts. I can deal with the occasional multi-survivor hatch escape (as long

  • My theory is that the desync bug was a result of putting the Chapter 19 killer's infrastructure in place. Now, that doesn't excuse the bug and how long it lasted by any means, but it explains where the bug came from on a dedicated server. With the teaser out, I'm less interested in the idea of the killer being tied to music/K-Pop and more interested in the rewinding of the audio. The killer is o

  • It is now the most terribly designed map in the game. If we assume the hit validation issue is simply a bug and look at the map rework on its own, there is no justification for its current design. While it was previously killer-sided, it has swung so far the other way to be unplayable. Who thought that placing 20+ pallets on one map was a good idea? Who decided that just throwing pallets at th

  • Is it just to showcase what asinine thing is next in the pipeline? Because it sure as hell isn't for them to take criticism and feedback. I mean, we all went into this knowing that they don't listen to the community before making changes to the game, but it doesn't feel like they know that. If you don't take feedback from your PTB, then there's no point in even putting out a PTB in the first

  • I thought the devs might get something right for once. I was wrong. I'm done with DBD until they fix this trash. BHVR need to get their ######### together. It's a damn shame.

  • You go against a 3-stack SWF with a key, but shut the hatch on the last one and leave him on the ground to bleed out as a lesson. Karma. In all seriousness, I think a viable key/mori rework would allow you to only use it once. One survivor can leave per each time a key is used. Closing the hatch early doesn't trigger EGC (unless there's only one survivor remaining), but each survivor would need

  • Whether it's a solo player or the more common 2-3 stack, I'm encountering OoO fairly often lately. It's becoming common, actually. I'm having to dust off stealth killers to not have my every movement telegraphed to the other players. 60% of my games today featured at least one OoO. Is anyone else experiencing this?

  • Then we should be nerfing OoO, too. As long as SWF groups are able to communicate with one another and share information, OoO should not exist as it currently does. I was just hit with a 4-stack OoO group, and I've never felt more cheated by any game in my life. Did I get hooks? Yes. But the coordination was too much to deal with. No wasted time, no wasted pallets, no running into dead zones. T

  • Good survivors don't need to play SWF. Bad survivors need to play SWF. If you need your teammates to tell you that the killer is coming, then you're not good at the game. Period.

  • Back when he was the only stealthy killer, this made absolute sense. It provided survivors with a defense against the only sneaky killer. Something to fight back with. But now that we have so many stealth killers on the roster and he remains the ONLY killer who can be stunned by a flashlight (not blinds, mind you, just flashlights), I think it's time for a change. Removing the burn mechanic woul

  • Almost had the achievement. Got three, closed hatch, and tried looking for the guy with Whispers. Turns out, he was hiding in lockers just so I wouldn't get the achievement. Grabbed him from the locker because I couldn't do anything else, and he didn't struggle. In the time it took me to find him and drop him to get him on his feet, the EGC ended. He proceeded to mock me on the end chat and told

  • So, auras are fixed, but flashlights are still off at an angle and Plague's purge is still arcing up at an angle... Thanks for fixing the auras, but flashlights are nigh unusable because hours and hours of muscle memory are now out the window. Any ETA on a fix?

  • I know most people are going to say, "So what?" or "Who cares?" But I'm just venting. Stop reading if you like. Whatever works for you. The auras have completely wrecked this game experience for me atm. I run lower graphics settings to maximize my framerate because I currently play on an older gaming PC. Maybe when the next US stimulus check comes in, I'll invest in something new, but until then

  • If you break something, at least let us know that you know about it. Don't rely on your mods to tell the community that you've "been informed." Make an announcement that you know about multiple bugs and take ownership. Confirm that you're working on it, at least. The lack of transparency isn't helping the community have faith in you.

  • Some of these add-ons are still unusable or pointless. Cannibal: The Grease: Moderately increase movement speed during the tantrum. Slightly increase the duration of the tantrum. Primer Bulb: Moderately increases movement speed during the tantrum. Did there need to be two add-ons that did the same thing? And tantrum movement speed, as experienced in the PTB, is pointless. There's no reason

  • So, we all understand that BHVR can't ban SWF because they can't control what people run on their computers while DBD is running; however, DBD can do something that will bring horror back to the game and nerf SWF at the same time. Mic detection. DBD can always access mic inputs without broadcasting what survivors are saying. For survivors who don't use SWF and keep their mics off, this won't

  • Most Killer recognize that gens can be an insurmountable challenge unless you run a handful of killers and/or a handful of meta perks. This limits the viability of otherwise enjoyable killers and prevents experimentation with builds if the killer player wants a chance at doing well in their matches. Non-standard builds are heavily punished by even 2-man SWF due to the communication differences

  • Most of the later ones are just funny accidents, etc, but this game is bugged to hell and back. Take three months to just fix the spaghetti code and make the game uniform. Please. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xboJ1IhFeqY

  • The devs are reworking Bubba into a fun, interactive, and viable killer while nerfing Billy into the ground. This satisfies survivor mains who complained about Billy and satisfies everyone who complained about Bubba being fairly non-viable and camp dependent. But that wasn't enough. Of course, Spirit complaints are ever present. She's a very strong killer who needs the lightest of changes to

  • I'm not necessarily against the change on principle or anything, but the way the devs have gone about it is annoying. For a change this significant, there should have been a PTB testing period to confirm that it works as intended and keeps the overall gameplay progressing as the devs intend. Just making changes out of the blue without significant testing is unhealthy for the game. Do you want b

  • I'll probably be trashed, but I'm honestly curious what the consensus is on this use case for EGC camping. Let me preface this by saying that I am absolute trash with Deathslinger. I can't quickscope to save my life or take anyone else's, but the only way to get better is practice. So, I decided that I would practice today. But what is a killer to do if they're not so good at doing their only jo
