I constantly see this on the forums. "Hillbilly can zoom in a straight line. Nurse has to blink and has fatigue. Hillbilly OP. Give him chainsaw cooldown." "Hillbilly can't flick like Oni can. Oni flick OP. Pls nerf." And recently, "Doc can use zap to stop loops. Clown has to reload. Doc OP. Make Doc reload his zaps." It's ok for different killers to be better at some things than others. Killer Mains: Its not fun to kill potatoes. Survivor Mains: I can't play solo because my teammates are bad. I think it's widely accepted by both sides that there is a significant amount of bad survivor players (not new players) in the DBD community. I call it an unpopular popular opinion because I see it everywhere in the forums. But when it comes to balance, the problem seems to disappear. Su11 comments 1,211 views last activity

Balance around TRUE red ranks/optimal players: I KNOW I KNOW. This has been said a million times. But the game has to be balanced around what's POSSIBLE rather than what happens on AVERAGE. Just because survivors don't run toolboxes EVERY match or killers don't bring a mori EVERY match, does not mean that in the case in which they do decide to, the other side should just expect to take it in the0 comments 11 views last activity

So it's happened to me three times now where a survivor will leave the match during the loading screen. I'm used to survivors dcing at this point, but never during the loading screen. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I was wondering if people are having connection issues or if this is just a case of survivors dcing.0 comments 11 views last activity

Just played this match. Let the last guy go purely because I felt bad. Matchmaking problems? Check. Players DCing? Check. DC players all having meta perks? Check. I used to be red rank before I stopped playing months ago. So I don't mind playing against these players, but I thought things were bad and unbalanced when I quit, but jfc it wasn't this bad10 comments 281 views last activity

As some others have already mentioned, there has been a recent trend in the forums about our favorite chainsaw wielding killer. Hillbilly, long considered to be the most balanced killer by both survivors and killers, is too strong according to some survivors. And I can see why. Hillbilly has always been a viable killer, normally placing around 3rd on most Tier Lists. I think the only reason surv3 comments 81 views last activity

After reading a dev's post about the intent of the ruin changes, alongside their comments in the thread, I feel compelled to make a post about it. The forums are teeming with constant posts regarding the changes, mostly negative. Unfortunately, the devs misconstrued what the outrage was about. As many have said before, the clear bias present in the patch notes and the baffling reasoning behind th2 comments 61 views last activity

A lot of players, both killers and survivors, have asked for there to be a secondary objective. As we all know, Gen Speeds are ridiculously quick. And while I actually like the Ruin rework (if it was no longer a hex), there will be nothing stopping gens from popping in the first few minutes anymore. Totems have always been a part of the game, but they are often ignored, unless they are Hex totems6 comments 81 views last activity

Dead by Daylight has always been notoriously hard to balance. I know these changes won't ever be implemented, but I thought it would be worth making a discussion about. As far as I can tell, DBD has a poor foundation for balancing and too much clutter. This is due to: 1) Killer and Survivor Add-Ons: These consumable add-ons complicate things too much for what they're worth. It is difficult to1 comments 71 views last activity
