I decided to ask a friend who lives in Quebec (I live in Ontario) if he could ask the guy he knows who actually works on DbD (As a 3D modeller) whether the Devs actually look at the forums, specifically the Balance Feedback forum. He responded by saying that apparently only the community managers check the forums and thus anything we discuss here is probably never read by the Developers themselve4 comments 81 views last activity

While I have made a thread discussing how Totems and Hexes could be used as an additional objective and entire side mechanic to the game I have yet to discuss fixes for them in their current state. As of writing there are seven hexes that exist in the game, each varying in viability, but each sharing their extreme vulnerability and awful lifespan unless guarded with a passion. We've all had ideas as to what can be done to extend the game time a bit so that Killers aren't being blasted away by SWF's and high level players in general, I had my totem idea, a lot of people have the gas can idea, but here's another for the books that the devs might like too. I've already explained it in another thread entirely, but this is just to solidify the idea and present it properly i1 comments 21 views last activity

Let's make this short and sweet, unlike most of my posts. Nurse, she's a menace and overpowered, anyone that wants to disagree can see themselves through the wall and into some other thread please. Now, what is the issue at hand? Simply put it's her ability to blink whenever she wants and over vast distances. Don't get me wrong, this is the Nurse's power and I in no way think her ability to blink22 comments 101 views last activity

First I will start by saying that I'm unsure of if this thread belongs in the Balance area or some other area, but as it will be dealing a ton with game mechanics I chose to post it here. But I know what you're thinking, another Wraith thread by me? Yes, yes indeed, but rest assured this isn't just a copy and paste of the last one (Which you can find here! https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/d4 comments 31 views last activity

Addons. First let's figure out what they are. From the wiki; So, to summarize, Addons are items that Survivors and Killers use to enhance their gameplay that are obtained via the Bloodweb. Survivors use them in conjunction with items to increase that item's power in various ways, while Killer's use them to enhance their abilities or give themselves different effects. Survivors can keep t3 comments 32 views last activity

As I've played I have noticed a tactic that Survivors will employ, namely swerving on the spot and bouncing back toward the Killer and past them. While I think this to be a killer and risky move to make that should be rewarded I also think that it's somewhat flawed for the following reason; When my Killers attack they perform a swipe, that is to say a right to left motion. In most games this woul6 comments 61 views last activity

This will be rather short compared to my typical threads, but simply put the FoV that Killers have at default is too damn narrow. 87° is uncomfortable to play at and the looping Survivors do, no not window and pallet looping, just the looping in front of me in tight circles as I lunged to hit them for them to suddenly wrap around me and cause me to lose sight of them completely as they disappear18 comments 221 views last activity

To keep this short and awful, SWF, what is it? Where did it come from? How can we erase it from this Earth? Worry not, for it isn't the demon we all consider it to be, it's just friends being friends and wanting to play together. I for one am part of the group who consider it to be rather game breaking however as facing four randoms at rank 1 vs facing a 4-man SWF at rank 1 is extremely day and n6 comments 122 views last activity

Another hot topic floating about seems to be the need for additional objectives in the game. As a (albeit rather new player in general) Killer who can't compete against gen rushing survivors I could agree to that notion as even if I'm getting a person down, at rank 3 they can juke me around for a solid minute before I manage to hook them. Thus, additional objectives would allow the killer to have2 comments 31 views last activity

Simply put, Survivors on average get drastically lower Bloodpoints per game, especially if you factor in BBQ&Chilli vs WGLF. In an attempt to figure out why this is I've come across two rather obvious realizations. The Killer will always play the full extent of the game. This gives them ample opportunity to cap out in the Hunting, Deviousness, and Brutality categories, as well as give th17 comments 171 views last activity

Attached are some ideas of how to improve Wraith, namely its perks and addons, as currently it lacks in the fun department once you start playing against higher ranked survivors (At least in my short three week experience with the game). With the perks I simply attempted to make them less of pure tracking abilities that give no actual bonus mechanics to the player and change them into tracking an2 comments 62 views last activity

Hello. In this post I'll be going over hook camping, what it is, and what can be done about it. Setting up Camp Hook camping is the act of hooking a survivor and choosing to stay within a tight radius of them to prevent their teammates from being rescuing them. It essentially results in one of two things; A) The survivor's teammates come and either the one who was hooked gets down again a15 comments 111 views last activity

Hello. In this post I will be going over Lockers, why they are currently underutilized, and how to fix this issue while also expanding on their use. The Current State Lockers are supposed to be hiding places for survivors that muffle their noise and allow them to escape the killer's notice before being detected. As far as this use goes it works rather well, to an extent. If a survivor not4 comments 61 views last activity

Hello. In this post I'd like to address the common issue of looping, that is survivors running in circles using windows, pallets, or even just terrain to prevent the killer from being able to touch them. Below I will list two potential fixes to this problem. Window Looping Currently there is a 3 vault limit within a single chase. While this is reasonable for low level players it ends up b16 comments 181 views last activity
