You know, it is not that smart to try to dismiss an argument with "must be a Survivor main who never plays Killer".
Because your "counter-argument" might be countered. You idea is bad. And you mentality is bad. SWF deserve to play like every other player in this game.
why are you acting as though your opinion is relevant I couldn't care less
-
wow you're so talented

I think your mentality is pretty bad.
probably coming from a survivor who only plays SWF & never solo or killer

Yeah, so that SWF-players never get any matches (most SWFs are not even that good...) and Killers do nothing than dodging. Sounds great!
@Topic:
This would punish Solos as well. If I am Solo with a 3 man SWF, I have 3 teammates who will heal me slow and will be slow on Gens. I dont get any Debuff, but I am still affected by their Debuff.
This can also increase Lobbydodging, because Survivors might want to dodge SWFs to not be affected by any Debuff.
they don't deserve matches. that's what KYF is for, why is it fair for a solo killer to face 4 co-ordinated players with the state of the game right now hahaha
-
there should be an option for a killer to see SWF so that they can avoid, and if they don't have any killers to play against tough luck, that's why KYF is for :) just faced 4 rank 1 SWF as a rank 9 killer lol it's trash

The way you word it, it sounds very much like you care. Otherwise you wouldn't bring up being "disadvantaged" by going against red ranks and pointing out that you've not moved from rank 10.
believe what you like hahaha it wasn't a riddle

"Haven't moved from rank 10 once cos of this"
You obviously care about ranking up
obviously you're not very good at mind reading or interpreting, it's a clear indication of the games are VERY unfairly matched
-
@DwightOP said:
Logical flaw.
You complain about red ranks but at the same time you want to rank up into red ranks? Like, don't you rather want to stay in green ranks then? Because in red ranks you will 100% verse red ranks all the time every day.
you mean you tried to find a logical flaw, I didn't state I wanted to pip. I don't care about that however I care about playing fair games that are matched to my skill level in order for me to get better :) I'm rank 1 survivor and I only face red rank killers, but as a green rank killer I only face red rank survivors make it make sense

If Your doing fine at rank 10, why do you care so much about moving up from rank 10?
Have you maybe thought the reason your not moving above rank 10 is because your not good enough to be above rank 10?
do you have 2 brain cells luv

It has been stated over and over on the forums and even on the most recent 4th anniversary Dev Stream (worth the watch) that the Devs are working on a new Ranking and Matchmaking system. They already have a new algorithm that is currently collecting data on players in certain regions. They hope to have it ready soon, like within the next month or two.
then it's another one for the forums, currently the game is trash
-
haha show me where I said I was worried about pipping, saying I've not moved from rank 10 clearly shows how unfair and disadvantaged I've been cos of facing these red rank sweaty betties

Opting out only for specific consoles won't be possible, I'm ready to bet real money on that.
The difficulties and technical costrains that would derive from that option are NOT solvable without creating massive inconsistencies.
Picture this:
You are a PS4 player, and you want to play only with PS4 and XBOX players for whatever reason
I am also a PS4 player, but I'm fine with playing with everyone because I want to have shorter queue times
Jake is a PS4 player that wants to play only with PS4 players
Since we are all on PS4, we get matched all in the same lobby, but we are missing 2 other players to start the match, and those players could only be from PS4, since Jake doesn't want to play with anyone else.
Result: Jake (who is fine with longer queue time) gets what he wants, me and you have to wait more to start a match because of him.
Inb4: ceating different pools of players for each combination of the matchmaking would split even more the playerbase, creating longer queue times for everyone.
It is easier (for the devs) and better (for the community) to have only a YES/NO option for crossplay altogether, like what we have now for Steam / Windows store
This is true but in my opinion cross play across PS4 and Xbox shouldn't be an opt out opt in situation because it's essentially the same game, however the option should be to opt out of playing with PC players. Console cross play should be default

Did they reply to any of your tickets? I'm guessing whatever explanations they've given you (if any) weren't satisfactory.
Yeah you're right. The x2 posts I've done on forums on the bug report & technical issues were ignored. Then with the tickets it was pretty much a "We hear you and sorry for any inconveniences, but you could also try post on the bug forum!"

And more is being done, if you've watched the 4th Year Anniversary.
However, the core of it is, it's still your internet connection that is the issue here. Not the game itself.
Personally, I live in Western Australia (yet I get connected to Chinese servers). I have experienced my fair share of BS connections, but most of my games have been rather fine. That is of course, if my internet decides to cooperate and doesn't die randomly. In which case, I would know that it was my internet, and not the game. I have yet to be disconnected by the server however.
You're just not being helpful and I'm in total disagreement with you. Again this isn't my reality in comparison to yours. :)

Console yeah that's an issue.
The best thing you can do is submit a report if none have been made recently to ensure the devs are aware of it, and then any other crashes from there comment the next circumstances. Ensure you provide as much detail as possible in every report/update.
Yes I will make sure to do that, I have had multiple games playing as Wraith himself where I couldn't cloak, couldn't vault, couldn't destroy pallets, I could only run around (This has happened like 3 times). Also whilst playing survivor it'll freeze mid hook, or whilst unhooking somebody. Sometimes I'll try to do a gen after the game has been running smoothly and it'll completely freeze. This is not a problem on my end.

Oh, I'm not blaming the game here. I'm just telling you the reason why you may have a more "smooth" experience on those other games is because they most likely have servers closer to you, because they're a large company.
BHVR isn't a large company, so they only place servers in hotspots where most players live. Meaning you need to connect to those servers. Meaning if your internet connection isn't good enough, you'll find yourself being Disconnected.
That's why I say it's your connection, not the game. If it was the game, the forums would constantly be filled with people complaining about being disconnected. And while yes, those threads do exist, they aren't as common as the Nerf Topic of the Week.
I live in a hotspot. Also they have reached 1 million players in one day, I'd say that's pretty mega and a lot of people seem to be playing. Not a huge company but definitely a huge fan base, so what you're insinuating is that dedicated servers are the problem. Do you not agree that more should be done to create a smoother game play considering the amount of people that put time and money into this game?

It's interesting how this happens to a small minority of people.
Please go to the bug reports section of the forum (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs) and provide a report on the details of the crash. Provide your logs (if you need help finding them tell me) and then try and reboot the game and see if there's any errors that appear, and include these too.
Last time I did this I had no response. I can't access logs on console I don't know how to. I have opened tickets instead to try and resolve the issue.

And those games are also backed by major companies who probably has servers in every single country because their playerbase is massive.
DBD isn't, but hey, that's still your internet connection and not the game itself.
You thought you did something here, this makes no sense. Stop brown nosing the devs, they aren't gonna shag you. You've just literally confirmed that it's a problem DBD has itself.

If the game has (on a rare occassion) bugged out, or the 500 Error appears, I've never been penalised for it, so there are some thinhs they've already factored in.
I'd say the game was more unplayable before because of players dcing left, right and centre, making it an unpleasant experience, so I'm supporting the devs here.
Every single time I bug out I get penalised, I've opened numerous tickets to report bugs & I've posted on the bug forums with my issues. Also in no way am I in agreement with DC's, however when it's an in game problem and not the players fault & they're penalised.. then it becomes an issue. Low key want a refund at this rate because it's ridiculous.

It certainly isn't my reality.
Or the majority of the forums'.
Or anyone I've talked to on Discord.
Or Reddit.
Or the Steam Forums.
Don't blame the game for your own Internet connection issues. If you're getting DCed out of the game, that's your internet, not the game.
absolutely incorrect, you're speaking for yourself and again it isn't my reality. My internet connection is fine, I play overwatch with no problems, I play GTA online, I play world of warcraft and guess what? They run smoothly. It's the game.

It happens very rarelly that a game bug is that bad the game can't end on it's own and as long as you don't DC otherwise it's just a 5 min penalty
A small price to pay to get rid of all those rage quiters in the past
speak for yourself, this isn't my reality on this game and it happens occasionally

it seems that the Brazilian server is bad, what bothers me most is the delay in solving the problem, and they haven't removed the punishment for disconnection yet ...
I'm from the UK so I'm not on that server, thank you for the link & yeah it's absurd that we are being punished for a fault in the game and when you dispute it you get told it's 'automated' and they can't do anything about it which is really not good enough.. they shouldn't encourage players to take breaks off the game after their ban to ensure that there won't be a long one like that again.. it defeats the whole purpose of people buying the game to play it
-
Yet again, I have just received a 48 hour ban because mid way through a game it just took my straight to the loading screen then the start up screen. It said I had 'no connection' however, I never have this issue with other online games I play. Also, I had something on twitch on my laptop and that didn't disconnect. I'm sick of these bans

Sorry. I remember the time before DCs were punished.
Hit a Survivor too early into the match? DC
Down a Survivor? DC
Play a Killer a Survivor did not like? DC
Use a perk (mostly a hex or something else obvious)? DC.
Down a SWF person? 2-3 DCs!
A SWF is the Obsession due to a Killer perk? DC to turn that perk off.
Survivors think you are 'tunneling'? DC
Survivors think you are 'camping'? DC
A map a Survivor does not like? DC.
Survivor thinks you 'don't deserve a 4K'? DC.
Sorry, it's not your decision to DC from a match because you got salty. Grow a pair, be an adult, and finish matches that you are losing.
If you disconnect, even once, and then computer troubles happen to get you temp-banned? Oh well. If you did not DC that once or twice or whatever, your PC freezing, crashing, or whatever would not have banned you.
I stated in that post that I purposely left a handful of matches, the ones before I received the 24hr and the 48hr. You have to accept that this isn't reality and is just a game. If a game isn't fun, and new players like me are getting agitated, they should be allowed to leave and to not face a repercussion as long as a 48 hour ban. A ban is acceptable but not one that long. A game is supposed to relieve stress and to be something that you enjoy, not something that you get agitated with constantly. I know a lot of players feel this way and it's probably why the game is doing so poorly. There are better ways around this.
