FYI why ppl like me may DC:
- I want more like hide and seek game rather than looping. Maybe if I had PC I would try to play differently, but I don’t and there is absolutely zero interest to improve my console controller skills. It is interesting to check if the new updates bring some desired changes, but they usually don’t and it takes time to figure it out and finally DC. Sometimes I get back and if it is obvious that killer has highlights - DC. Tunneling/sluggering -dc.
- Bugs or intended surv abuse. I ALWAYS played with Distortion and now decided to try this Eleven kinda similar perk. This so fun to see that the perk is not activated but killer runs right at you. I get it, you want action, but just be honest: we improve killers as much as we can since numbers show that we will get profit even if survs have 20% win chance. True info about the perk like “doesn’t work against blabla” would be nice. This is not about killer features like legion or michael, but honestly I do not get WHY killer features are more powerful? There are only 2 tokens for distortion, cmon!
- Just think about it, the new Eleven perk has 10 sec cooldown so I assume every 10 sec killer can get the highlight. And it is not just surv screaming somewhere, no, surv is higlighted. Is this still a horror game or we already gone hunting where surv is a deer with a big “D” on his back?
The surv team or even one good surv may be the problem for the killer but from my pov there should be 2 types of game matches: ranked (killer benefits) and casual (surv benefits). Ranked for leaderboard and acievements, casual for items farming. But I still see this new modes with random perks (casual ppl like me do not know all the perks, we are too old to keep this in mind) or 2 killers or with the lights out (devs pls try to play vs dredge in a sunny living room 2 meters away from tv with no way to adjust brightness). I remember I heard about “quality of life” project and I haven’t seen any improvements for me ever since. They even removed the button to rate the game in the end so DC is the only way to say “I do not like it”.
Dumbest thing about it is that I still buy with USD all the new characters cause I am adult and 20 usd for Eddie is nothing, but I swear devs check the number and say “hey, they keep spending money even though we make them suffer, lets keep going, they like bdsm or something”. Total miscommunication that lead to a very toxic client-seller relationship. So DC is kinda my stop word :)

Penalty for rage quit is not solving a problem why survs do so. Game may end up with less quits and less players.

I was the player for whom Distortion was main perk and now I am just stopping playing. And I suppose some players will leave, as there is no other options for stealth style left.
1. I am not a pro console controller player and I do not want to learn “crab” style or whatever. I just want to have fun. So it is just impossible for me to loop, but game provided another option - to hide. Now it doesn’t.2. The cat was another great option for my style but it was nerfed also a lot time ago and I still can not hide from scream or michael. Have you seen anyone playing with this perk? Me not. So would happen to distortion.
3. Hiding in locker doesn't help, as you can not hide all the time and you never know when the aura reading will be triggered. Killers are not idiots, if they saw my aura once, they will find me in the locker. This only helped when I was the only one left and killer was carrying the last surv to hang him 3d time.
4. Compare the number of killer reading aura perks, built-in abilities (mastermind see your aura when use spray) and it is clear that the game is no longer about stealth. Distortion was the last one to counter all of them. Next step will be to remove lockers or just highlight survs all the time. Kidding. Or not?
5. Statistically I had fun in 1 or 2 games out of 10. Most of the bad games happened because of the random party when survs just can not communicate and help each other. Disabling stealth mode will just make such games faster as last surv with distortion will no longer be a problem. And it was such a pleasure to open the exit gate. Sad.
So the game becomes more about running/chasing/looping and cooperating as a team. Thats OK for most, but I have no PC with MK and no friends to play voice chat with so I have to say gl bb.

one year later we have a lot of new content, new engine (still nothing serious to talk about) and zero gameplay improvements for console.
I do still think that mouse speed should be reduced (to the stick performance speed) and I do not find this cringe for crossplarform game. If you are playing PC and do not want to reduce mouse speed just switch off crossplatform (or is it unavailable for pc?).
The problem is that market is always asking opinion of pro players like the previous commenter who are aware of dead zones, lag, etc. But I believe the most of the console players are like me, we just want to relax in the sofa in the end of the day. Honestly I do not want MK support as I just do not have a table, I am literally sitting on sofa while playing. I do not need 100+usd controller with super precious sticks, I need touchpad or trackball instead camera stick as it is easier. But I can not even buy unsupported controller due to xbox policy. I am about to throw away console and find another way to relax. And it will be your fault bhvr :)
P.S. You can not imagine how unfair is it to see on youtube the upcomming update and suddenly realize that pc player can even adjust brightness through video card settings. I feel myself like a PC gamers slave. They got all the benefits and I am just serving for them as another easy win.

I think you are wrong. This is the user expereince of console player. I am sitting in 3 meters from TV, I have a comfortable sofa and a lot of light even with blinds. If dark room is a part of user set up then it is another unfair disadvantage for the most console players.
Anyway I was curious are developers reading any feedback. Now I suppose not :) I like game mechanic but will leave it once any competitior with brightness appears. Peace!

The worst thing for me is when I can not see anything. I am ok to loose to PC mouse players but let me see what is happening. No fun at all looking at the black screen.
