  • Thanks for this reply. I resent a lack of official word on this bug, and announcing a 2x reward bonus event without acknowledging it feels like salt in the wound.

    I play on PC, Steam

I have been having issues with nearly all the challenges in the current tome and had with the Halloween one. Sometimes it just does not work at all, some matches I get less progress then I should, and then seldom actually works. Very frustrating for something that has time-limited rewards.

❗️ Temp half-solution: It seems to help (sometimes) to make sure you only have one challenge role selected. Example: unselect your killer slot challenge if you're playing survivor. As well as going to an old tome selecting one of those challenges then going back and then selecting the one you actually want to do. It seems like it betters the odds of actually getting some progress on the challenges. Wishing everyone with this issue heaps of luck if this doesn't get fixed before the rift ends.

  • I was able to complete Step Lightly, but I came here to report Fight Back as a challenge I should have completed in my last match against a Sadako. I definitely got two pallet stuns while in chase with her. There was no one else around to possibly confuse the server or my client. Didn't get the achievement at the end of game though. I was ultimately killed in the challenge, so I need to see if I get the achievement while also surviving the trial. I wonder if that's somehow a secret requirement for the challenges we're having trouble with.

Well if you lost the item due to franklins when you were downed at the end then you do not get the key back. You need to have the key in your possession when you die in order for the addon to work. That's intentional.

As for the second game, did you actually have any more of those addons? If you run out of an addon it will still show it equipped but be transparent and say "none remaining" if you hover over it and you won't have it in the match.

Thanks for clarifying this; that was not obvious in game.

In the second game, I definitely had the add on. It was even still equipped to my character build when I went back to the lobby.

  • After a second game with Adam, I noticed that the Milky Glass is not attatching to the key. While I have it equipped to my key before the game, it does not appear equipped to the key in the game itself. Instead, it looks like I only brought one add-on for my key.

Yes. And said WIFI is and has been more than good enough to handle DbD

Sometimes our wi-fi routers require a firmware update. Neglecting firmware updates can cause this issue.

  • Are you playing on wi-fi?

  • Also a problem for me and my friends. We can see each other on our friends list. We can independently join and accept invites to join. We both Ready and then only one of us is pulled into a game lobby, while the other is not pulled in. No error message. When I was pulled into a lobby, I appeared to un-Ready from my friend's point of view.

We both restarted our game. This appeared to correct this issue.

  • That must be a bug.

The puke is clearly green and you can see in a few frames leading up to the hit that Plague does not have red puke smoke/sparks. The puke progresses from 0% to 100% in less than 1 second as you round the corner into Shack.

I wonder if the bug is somehow related to that shack pallet, since puking on those is a binary interaction of [infected] or [not infected], and while we can't see clearly if the puke infects the pallet, it is reasonable to assume that she does hit the pallet after you move through the door frame and into the center of the Shack.

  • I've experienced this consistently but I assumed that the cause was, like mentioned above, because of distortion or lag + working a gen. I get too distracted though and always forget to check at the end of the match to see if distortion was in play.

  • If there is a killer incentive, but it depends on which killer you play because each killer MMR is different, how do you know which killer to play in order to secure the bonus blood points?

  • I can add to this (hopefully) that in addition to being yellow tier, I don't have access to Steve's perks on other characters. However, Nancy's (yellow) perks show up when I play Elodie.

  • FWIW I was playing for almost 10 hours after the update on the old patch and I didn't have this problem with any characters I prestiged.

"Identification of Everyday Sounds Perceived as Noise by Migraine Patients" (2019)

Authors: Tomoharu Ishikawa, Muneto Tatsumoto, Katuhiro Maki, Minoru Mitsui, Hiroshi Hasegawa, Koichi Hirata

Study Objectives Sound hypersensitivity is highly comorbid with migraine headaches. To elucidate the pathogenic mechanism of migraine attacks, we must first identify the types of everyday environmental sounds they perceive as unpleasant and clarify the acoustic properties of such sounds. This study aimed to clarify the true nature of "noise," i.e. everyday sounds perceived as unpleasant by migraineurs, by evaluating their subjective comfort/discomfort in response to several sounds commonly heard in everyday life.

Methods Participants were presented with 20 environmental sounds they would likely hear daily. Subjects rated the pleasantness/unpleasantness of each stimulus using a nine-step scale.

Patients We recruited 50 adults with migraine headaches (46 women, 4 men) and 50 healthy controls (35 women, 15 men).

Results Migraineurs provided statistically significantly lower (more unpleasant) ratings to ambulance sirens, police car sirens, and railroad crossing bells than did controls. Our analysis also investigated the acoustic characteristics associated with higher rating gaps between the two groups. Greater divergence in ratings for the same stimulus was associated with less power (smaller amplitude envelope) and slower temporal variation in signals in the 400-Hz band.

Conclusion We identified specific signal components associated with different subjective (un) pleasantness scores between migraineurs and healthy adults, which may lead to the elucidation of the pathogenic mechanism underlying migraine attacks triggered by sound.
