if it is really just for accessibility why doesnt turning the visual terror radius mute the regular terror radius?
with both its just extra information for survivors, or at least its easier to read, no matter what bhvr intends
-
imagine making this post after survivors whined their way to near zero usable gen regression perks
-
losing a health state is going to be more than a minor annoyance that can be fixed in 5 seconds, boo hoo

I can confirm that it is for accessibility. It provides absolutely no advantage over the regular terror radius, it's purely for folks who need a visual alternative.
At the moment, there is no equivalent on the Killer side, though it would no doubt be nice to have. When it comes to accessibility, we would rather get these features out sooner so the people who need them can use them than wait until we have other features to 'balance' it for both sides.
That said, if you ever have suggestions for future accessibility options, please feel free to drop them here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/categories/suggestions
not that im surprised, but pretending like this isnt providing any sort of advantage is a little bit silly.
being able to tell what exactly is going on through all of the noise layers going on is a pretty big deal. being able to bypass all of this and just have a clear visual indicator of how near a killer is is an obvious advantage.

this is a hilarious paragraph... "wouldn't it be nice if we considered balance when making changes to the game? dang, too bad we dont."

sorry, killers using any sort of strategy requires immediate dev attention
-
you gotta love survivors
months of whining about big bad eruption until it got gutted and then just an immediate shift to whining about the next thing
-
yea ops got the receipts. its clear how they devs think the game should be balanced.
survivors constantly treated with kids gloves.
-
also every map since midwich from 2020 or whatever has been massively survivor sided but yeah theres no bias
flashlights got buffed so even babies can use them correctly 100% of the time
theyre still going to do basekit unbreakable
-
check whats left from the "big killer buff patch"
jolt buff? slightly faster kicking/attack animation? uhh?
meanwhile survivors get buffed s tier perk borrowed time for free, every decent gen regression nerfed, dead hard is harder to use but stronger if you can use it. thana buff lasted a couple weeks, eruption now joins it in the shadow realm. survivors just got a massive buff with tons of free information.
easy to see whats going on here

if anything its better than swf, no comms are perfect but the hud always is
-
unless youre blight or nurse you got no shot vs coordinated teams of good survivors. they just made every team of randoms a coordinated team with the info buffs so you just gotta hope theyre not good.
also camp and tunnel all you want, if you cant compete in the 1v4 at least you can ruin one survivors game
-
they make you play vs swf every game so now we wait 5 years for them to buff killer with some 2% kicking speed buff
-
learn to play blight or nurse. anything else and you're just signing up to be bullied now that every game is vs an swf.
-
why doesnt the hud disable if you queue with another survivor if its meant to be a soloq buff
-
didnt even get a mention in the know bugs portion of the patch. anyway, heres maurice.
-
2/30 killers in dbd are viable vs teams of 4 good survivors but its definitely the killers that are the problem
-
swf completely breaks the game, bhvr doesnt care about the integrity of their game or they would ban swf. them not letting killers even see when they play swf is just disrespect to killers. you have no idea if youre doing wrong things or if players are on comms. just a dancing monkey for survivors.
-
theyre trying to buff survivor so hard.
-
doesnt really matter if you're a killer and want to figure out what happened in a game so you can improve. youre just there to show survivors a good time.
-
did i lose that chase because i made a mistake or because someone was on comms with the player i was chasing telling them exactly what i was doing?
i guess it doesn't matter cause the devs said theyre just casually hanging out with their friends. no problem.
-
you are right but it wont matter.
survivor just got a huge buff with nothing for killers and barely a day later the devs gleefully announce an imminent nerf to one of the few remaining usable slowdown perks.
-
why not disable the audio terror radius if the visual one is used? then people who need it can use it and other survivors dont get free information.
its still an advantage as dbd sound is layered in all sorts of ways and being able to listen to the important audio and make decisions is a skill. but at least if you have to choose one or the other it would be closer to fair.

more training wheels for bad survivors
more tools to abuse for strong survivors
there are only a couple killers that can hang with a team of good survivors. one of them just got nerfed.
so now we are in the "lets wait and see" part of dbd balance. which means killers are going to get some tiny buffs in a few years. soon they will add free basekit unbreakable for survivors and we will continue to wait and see.
