Because they are blaming the team for the loss. I play Overwatch and it happens all the time.

In DBD though people shouldn't blame their team mates when it's only one of the things that can make you lose. Sometimes winning is impossible because of the RNG, or loadouts everyone has. This game also has a lot of match deciding bugs. Yesterday i played as freddy and could not place dream snares anywhere on The Game. Should i really blame myself for the loss, when the game failed me?

I never really thought about the RNG and the like mattering. I'm learning that more people focus on the win then enjoying the game. I always expect RNG to bite me, but you make a good point.

There is not an original Pentimento totem.

Hex Pentimento doesn't exist until you rekindle a broken totem.

So, survivor cleanses a totem, you come along and rekindle, you then have one hex pentimento totem that gives survivors a gen repair penalty. Survivor cleanses another totem and you go over a rekindle it then you have a second pentimento totem that gives a healing speed penalty. If the process continues in that fashion without survivors going back and cleansing the rekindled totems you would get to five pentimento totems that the entity prevents from being cleansed and the survivors have to deal with tons of debuffs.

Now if they break a rekindled totem that totem is just gone forever. Which I believe removes the associated debuff. Though unless you run a full totem build it is going to be unlikely you will get the full five. Even then survivors are incentivized to bless more than cleanse. Which is more time consuming, but worth the benefit of a CoH+Shadowstep boon area.

So if i run Pentimento, haunted gound, since this one give two totems not just one, and two other hex totems, would that count as my five once pentimento was activated?

Some people just take pleasure in making other people feel miserable. Not everyone is a kind person sadly

Not the answer I truely wanted, but I know you're right. I miss when people played for fun, and weren't hurtful when they lost.

  • Good, I'm not the only one. I thought maybe because I like playing Michael Myers, I wasn't getting games.

Because that's how their game's economy works. You earn BP, you spend it on (what are supposed to be minor and fair) advantages, and eventually earl perks. They haven't really changed it from when there were 30 perks. Is it outdated? Yes.

    Welcome to DbD.

    Fair enough.

    Behold, my art skills:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7Z6POT3AP3G5/suggestion1.jpg

    1. We are splitting Offerings and Map Offerings into to separate offerings
    2. Charms now do something. Perks that don't 'do much' (e.g. increase aura radius etc) are turned into charms that can be attached separately.

(I made a mistake here and put Blessings instead of Hexes... This field would only appear for killers. Blessings only go on the lobby screen, see below)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ARKLP3YMA9YH/suggestion2.jpg

Group Blessings: Blessings are the Survivor's equivalent to Hexes, and both are now separate from perks. These are things like fewer birds on a map, pallets taking longer to destroy etc. They can be picked in the lobby screen before, no blessing twice.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/32WQJAT5VKB0/suggestion3.jpg

New Survivor stats: Each Survivor would have set stats influencing their healing/repair abilities (meaning their skillchecks are always a little bigger/smaller if they are good/bad at it without charms, perks or blessings) their speed (maybe) and things like that. Then stats about how many matches this survivor has been used in, how many they escaped etc. Also maybe a second page about how well they do against certain killers.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SQ22NGY5E12Q/suggestion4.jpg

New Killer Stats: Regular Speed/TR stats, Matches played/won/average kills overview, power use overview (how well you do with their individual powers etc)

Items I'd honestly put in a whole new game mode where you can gather them, or in a bloodweb of its own.

I like this. The stats part would be really hard to add suddenly, because it would change everything quite a bit. People's favorites would become hard to use, while other survivors would become rarer due to lower statistics. But other than that, and a little touch up here and there, I think you've got some good ideas.

I'm confused... Did the item just not appear in your inventory, or did you die and lose it and just don't really understand the concept of in-game economy?

I get how it works. If you die with an item you lose it and what not. My point is why would they make it so I have to buy that to get to the rest of my options? It's really annoying, in my opinion, to have to buy something just to lose it. If it was a worse version that was permanently keep or if it was on a separate purchase area, I'd be fine: however it was dead center of my web, blocking my perks.

    TBH:

the entire perk, item, offering etc system needs a massive overhaul... Anyone interested in a suggestion with badly done illustrations? cause I might have something

Share all you want. Bad illustration or not, maybe it'll get somewhere.

Whatever they meant, it works as intended. If it wasn't that way then they'd just make perks super expensive "You can buy 5 common items for 15,000 points, OR a perk for the same ammount of points"

Personally I'd rather have really expensive perks than waste points on something that'll disappear because I died.

Do you mean you lost it during a trial? Or when you prestige? I'm not sure what you mean by lost it...

    Last via trail.

(I think I know what you're talking about, i'm on mobile so it might be different.)

So, I assume you mean in the bloodweb/store where you can buy things with BP.

You have to buy a certain number of items, or just certain items, to get to the next row, imo. When you move on to the next row it will lock the row before it, and will say something along the lines of "taken by the entity" so just make sure you're buying everything you want from each row before moving on to the next. that should solve your problem unless its something else. hope this helps.

My problem isn't the entity. I had to buy a med-kit, 3000 blood points, to get to a perk behind it. Then i lost it, even though it was something I used points on. That's my problem. I don't see a logical reason behind that decision.

  • Whats SWF? Also, while it's annoying, camping is a play style: like it or not. Though it can be obsessive to do it to everyone due to one person. Personal opinion, games like these need a obsessive play area and a enjoyment area. But I'm new so take this as a grain of salt. Or sand. Your choice.
