i admit to lobby dodging, but only on two conditions.
1) there is a known cheater
2) i’ve played with someone in the lobby and they have either quit, sandbagged or were just not someone i never want on my team again. Why should i be forced into a game with people who let you die on your first hook? These are two very valid reasons, any other reasons are just not justifiable. Either way, you could just not use it if you want to be more picky from time to time. I am too sometimes after some rough losing streaks. Having an option to skip the lobby for those times when you just don't care would be nice either way though.

The thing is the perk already has an animation so the killer can counter it appropiately, so them being able to swing and avoid the stun completely, that can only be used once as well by the way, seems like very terrible design to me. Imagine people could get hit through the head on animation. No, the killer gets stunned instantly, because that is the point of the perk and it already has a counter, baiting the survivor.
This perk's counter is also baiting the survivor, because it has an animation that reveals it's in play. If you see the survivor has this perk, you are going to play more careful around vaults. As it is right now, you can just swing as if the survivor didn't have it because you are getting the hit regardless. I don't care that it is a one time use, as of now, it is useless beyond saving someone once, and that's something only bully squads will pull off. If you make it function like head on stun that is instant, it will be useful at least. It's all I ask for.

I'm fairly certain the "most frustrating" aspect of Ghoul's kit is him being able to jump on you with no meaningful fatigue.
There's a reason people keep comparing him to Legion, Legion has to literally scream & stare at their hands with a reduced M/S before they can M1.
Ghoul can leap on you & M1 before you can make 2 meters of distance.
Kind of odd how this was completely ignored. 🤔
Also, the kidnap tech already had counter play??? You hug the pallet right?
I agree. When Hillbilly got his rework and got his overdrive mechanic added he had a very short cooldown and could very quickly hit you with a basic attack after missing the chainsaw and zoning you with it, and even had two add-ons that decreased this cooldown even more. This situation lasted a week before he got his cooldown and add-ons nerfed. Kaneki is still in this situation after months.
I haven't once been affected by the kidnap tech, but every game he just leaps on me and I can't even vault a window two meters in front of me before he basic attacks me. THAT is his most frustrating mechanic.
What the developers yet don't get, and the common denominator of every massively hated killer ever is one thing: cheap downs.
Old Legion had no counterplay and Knight put you in a lose/lose situation with the press of a button and his "sandwich potential" was straight up unfair. Luckily it got nerfed by making guards despawn quicker in close proximity to him, which is an incredible change, and he can still keep multiple survivors busy at once, which makes him very strong but not unfair. Skull Merchant was just as brainless even after her rework, all she had to do is place a drone while keeping you on the loop, it didn't slow her down but instead gave her haste (while trapper and hag had to stop in their tracks and look at their feet) and it would be a guaranteed hit eventually. The speed differential would do the rest and she just had to hold W.
I have seen Ghoul players literally just hold W on me as well. I vault a window? Vault behind me with his power and block it with an add-on or bamboozle. I drop the pallet? They vault it with their power too. Their vault is so fast you can't even gain distance. He is totally fine as he is, just nerf his cooldown and vaulting speed. He will still be just as strong but will actually take skill.

I have the same issue, but for some reason, it saves the loadout and the name of it on some characters and in others it doesn't. Cosmetic loadouts just don't save at all however, with any character, and you can't even name them.

This is besides the point of your post, I know, but I keep seeing people list Wake Up while talking about perks that were gutted. I don't truly understand why- the last change that perk received was a buff overall.
What makes you say it was gutted?
Well overall the perk is already very niche and don't get me wrong, it was and still is very useless:
It can only be used once per match to do a single specific thing. Someone else might open before you do or you might not even make it to endgame. This made it so the perk was most useful in a 1vs1 situation when opening the gate, which got nerfed to the ground. Now it makes it so you open gates faster the more people are alive, which is also useless, because if 4 people are alive in endgame there's probably 0 pressure to open the gates and you can take as much time as you need, turning the perk into a "win harder" perk or a counter to Remember Me, which is already barely used anyways.
It was overall a huge disappointment for me what they did with it. When I saw that it was getting changes, I was hoping for a rework that actually made it a good perk. Maybe changed it's effects or gave it a new secondary effect like what they did with Poised. But it was a numbers change that killed it's main purpose, which was inherently selfish, effectively burying an already barely used perk.

I confirm the bug is now solved. Thank you!

For those asking in this thread, yes, the adjustment coming to Deja Vu is related to its (often lesser-known) Map effect. This is because the effects op Map items are being adjusted with this update.
Thank THE ENTITY it isn't a nerf, this perk is one of the best designed in the game and most balanced in my opinion. I feared you would make it have a timer again or gut it like poor Spine Chill or Wake Up. Now we just need a Visionary rework to bring it in line with it.

Well, considering most of the people I know stopped playing, and I myself take long breaks from the game because of the toxicity I encounter from both killers and teammates from time to time, I'm glad they are asking the survivor side this time. Mind you I play both roles, and as a survivor, which I favor, I'm always solo, but people tend to forget who has the power role here. Killers are allowed to play the match at all times, while survivors can and will be forced to not play (being slugged for example). Never as a killer have I been unable to play the game, while as a survivor I have been held hostage multiple times by killers refusing to kill me and just being douchebags to me with no provocation whatsoever. Glad they are finally adressing what really matters most for the casual playerbase.

I will say 'players" are trying to ruin the event not just survivors. Had some very not fun games yesterday. I don't even run anti-tunnel builds but I had off the record on for half my playtime.
Sad part is we have to sweat just to have a chance at playing the game and gaining BP.
I totally get you since I like to run fun builds and play casually but during this event I had to switch my usual non sweaty builds for Dead Hard, MFT to loop the killer long enough to perhaps force them to leave me and slap on Reassurance to prevent my teammates from being tunneled as fast, since it's all I'm seeing every match. What can I say, I don't like being tunneled out at 5 gens or having to play an unwinnable slog fest 3 vs 1 match with 5 gens left. The fact that I have gotten huge Reassurance value every single game says enough, since 90% of killers just proxy camp just outside range and come right back for the tunnel.
I have to be very aggressive with gens, luckily my teammates have been too. Most will still chase that person even if you are doing a generator right in their face. Then complain when generators fly...
If I'm lucky my teammates are the ones pressuring gens and I can be the one pressuring the unhook. The matches I have lost were the ones where my teammates unhooked in less than 20 seconds when the killer is tunneling or roaming around the hook area. Let that person stay in hook for longer for the sake of the team… Some even see that I reassured and still unhook them. Needless to say those matches were the hardest to win. But I have been sweating against tunnelers and have managed to get 3 or 2 people out, including myself in at least half of those games.
If they sweat I'm going to as well and I'm not sorry for it. I can't even play the event mode as a survivor because insta-hooks negate even gimmicky perks like Power Struggle and you can't even save people that are being tunneled if they go down on a pallet.
I have never seen so much tunneling and I have been playing this game for two years. I even created this forum account because I couldn't resist joining these discussions. Tunneling is such a cheap strategy. The killers that I get don't even know how to play their killer properly most times, their MMR is just inflated. The tunnelers I occasionally came across before the event at least knew how to mind game, loop and use their power and perks. These just chase a survivor the entire match and lose 4 gens in the process. Switch targets, pressure gens, use your brain. It's not that hard. I have been playing killer in the event and it's just easy mode. No need for tunneling, camping or meta perks or killers. I'm sorry to say I don't share OPs opinion, respectfully.

You are not alone, my friend. I have had this exact issue. Yesterday was BRUTAL. 90% of games it was just hard tunneling at 5 generators, and I'm not even playing the Event Mode because it makes it easier for killers to tunnel since they have insta-hooks and break pallets at a distance. It didn't matter which killer it was. Nemesis, Deathslinger, Huntress, Knight…
I have literally put on Reassurance to give my teammates more time on the hook and perhaps do more generators with the extra time and it gave me easier matches. Half of those were even won with 3 of us left. I guess I got lucky with my solo queue teammates.
Though other days when tunneling was the exception and not the norm, it just caused long and prolonged 3 vs 1 situations, which are boring as hell since there are too many generators still left to do, so it's just a waste of time since the match is lost anyways, and if you try to give up, you either get slugged or feel bad for your teammates that are actually still trying. Luckily yesterday everyone seemed decent at looping and helping each other, and generator speed was decent enough to get to one generator or two before that person got killed.
It just shows how little skill do you need to play killer when you tunnel someone off right from the start. Killers complain about generator speeds but spend half the match chasing one person instead of patrolling and disrupting the other survivors. I can consistently get 3k whenever I play killer without running full regression and without tunneling, you just need a little brain, that's all. And sometimes you lose, it's normal and it happens in every game. But some killers seem like they are forced to 4k every match.
As a solo survivor it's just sad that I have to play full meta or go full anti-tunnel/support just to have a chance at surviving a single match. In the matches we lost of course the killer slugged for the 4k, and I also had a skull merchant bleed my teammate and me out for the full timer for no reason. Our other two teammates threw themselves at her and of course got killed. I was doing a challenge (which I completed) and messing around since the match was lost anyway and my teammate was playing normally, yet we both got slugged and I got called a ######### in end game chat. It's insane the lack of empathy some killers have.
When I play killer and survivors are toxic or teabag me, I don't even care, since survivors can't realistically do anything to me. What really bothers me is when killers actively try to ruin your experience of the game by keeping you hostage or purposedly waste your time by bleeding you out, letting you wiggle so you don't die, etc etc. Humping survivors on the floor is the most no ######### behaviour I have seen in any game so far. I just spin around or go on my phone and it happens way too often recently.
What I'm trying to say is some people need to learn basic human decency and it shows. Everyone wants to win, but you are not going to every time. Get over it and stop being scumbags to everyone you come across. End of rant.
