  • You can add me on Xbox. I play with another IRL friend most nights (not this weekend, up camping). We're both pretty chill middle aged married guys mid skill level. My name on Xbox is GreenSuperJJ. Dorky name, I know. I used my main Microsoft account to set up my son's Minecraft and have been stuck with the gamertag ever since. I believe my cross play code on DBD is #c29b if I remember right.

We're both in the Eastern time zone. If that matters.

  • @DemonDaddy said:

It's on the survivor to avoid the killer long enough to accomplish a good score. The only negative aspect is the survivor doesn't get to reset and refresh before their next engagement with the killer; which is a clear detriment to the killer's time.

Is that a problem with the system then? A killer can have a rotten game and be rewarded. I mean I've had games where I get wrecked by the survivor team and get decent points. Why is it that a killer can play horrible and get rewarded while the survivor gets hosed?

  • Id pretty much always welcome more BP but I think gains are ok for the most part. It's easier to farm points as a killer though.

Survivors kind of get screwed if they focus at all. Some of the best looper/runners get screwed because they spend the bulk of the match taking chase. I think the way points are awarded could help.

Aven's suggestion might help but then I'd worry the altruism category would get ignored by so many people.

  • Pinheads chains. If they didn't effect you while working on the box I think it'd be more tolerable.

  • Getting blanked out while saying pretty mundane things is half the reason I don't try to communicate more often.

  • Only thing I'd like is if they added some doors or windows to some of the dead ends. Maybe some breakable doors for the killers. It can be such a maze even when you're playing killer and see all the gen auras. Otherwise I'm fine with it.

  • Face camping isn't the gamble it used to be. Once you realized someone is getting face camped you used to be able to switch gears to gen rushing and at least get a couple out. Now even if all three remaining survivors do that the camper has time to find another survivor before you can escape. And it's pretty rare in solo for someone to realize gen rushing is better than the suicide mission of going for an unhook while the killer is standing 2m away.

Maybe the increased gen times should've come with increased hook times.

  • I have more fun as survivor but it's so much easier to get a ton of BP as killer. I mean I have games where I'm getting blinded and smacked around all over the place and still come out w/ over 20k BP. Then I have games as a survivor where I feel like I'm doing everything right and make the escape and don't crack 20k.

Killer's more rewarding but survivor feels like the stakes and skill level are higher so it's more fun.

  • I mean if you're saving it just to escape the killer you have to walk a lot but it's great for sprinting to gens or unhooks or whatever. It's a time waster only if you're constantly trying to save it.

But the fact that it's so hard to save for specific times is why I don't think a nerf is in order. At least not important at all anyway.

  • I don't get how the player with the faster avatar and lethal abilities is the one complaining about being bullied by the non-lethal survivors. I really don't.

  • She'd need to be slowed way down before I'd support much to help her in chase. She can teleport across the map so she's decent at keeping pressure on gens.

  • After running the artists pentimento perk enough I am going on the record saying survivors really don't spend a ton of times on totems. Not enough to warrant a buff. Especially with the effects some hexes have. Anything that slows gens is brutal and NoED is vicious.

  • Yeah the built in mini borrowed time is pretty good.

There is a reason why you get points for a safe unhook. Don't do it while the killer is there. I mainly play artist and I can't count how many times I take the time to kick the nearby gen and send out my crows and some idiot is already sprinting in. I'm sure they blame me for camping but 10 more seconds and I'm usually long gone because I make it a point not to camp.

Now they could discourage camping by increasing gen speeds if the killer is too close to a hook. I think that's the main downside to slowing the gens. Camping isn't as much a hazard as it was before. Still easy to get a min 2k by face camping.

  • Air would probably be similar to nurse. Earth might be cool but I struggle to think how it'd be implemented. Fire feels like low hanging fruit and probably not as scary. I think they could make a pretty sweet drowned corpselike character with water powers that's spooky and unique.

  • In solo the clicking can sometimes just be a way of getting attention to communicate. Its not always a completely negative thing.

  • Good nurses are pretty tough to face but bad nurses are kinda fun. Get them on a long wall or something and just run to the other end of the wall every time she blinks.

They could bump the volume of her screeches up even more if the wanted to just do a minor tweak though. Knowing where she is all the time would make it harder to sneak up on you.
